Next TCG Set to be Released on June 18th!

-05/28/03-

Pokemon-e TCG: EX Ruby and Sapphire, the first Pokemon TCG set to be released by Nintendo, will be released on June 18th. Using the e-Reader technology, you’ll be able to use these cards for the e-Reader available for GBA. This set is 100% compatible with past sets of the Pokemon TCG.

If you didn’t know already, the company that have been producing the Pokemon TCG, Wizards of the Coast, did not have their contract renewed by Nintendo. Which means, Nintendo is now fully in charge with the Pokemon TCG. From making the cards to organizing tournaments, it’s now all up to Nintendo, not Wizards of the Coast anymore.

Three New Pokemon Games Announced!

-05/13/03-

As E3 is ready to go, Nintendo releases information on what they’ll be showing off at this important event. For those not familiar with E3, it stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo. It’s basically an event for the many gaming companies to show off their new products. It’s considered the most important event for the gaming industry.

For this year’s E3, Nintendo has announced three new Pokemon titles: "Pokemon Colosseum", "Pokemon Pinball: Ruby/Sapphire", "Pokemon Channel: Together With Pikachu".

Pokemon Colosseum, if not obvious already, is the next Pokemon Stadium game everybody has been anxiously waiting to hear about. Of course, Pokemon Colosseum will feature the new Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire and will be for GameCube. One of the highlights of this game, is that there's a two-on-two Pokemon battle, just like Ruby/Sapphire.

Pokemon Pinball: Ruby/Sapphire, the second Pokemon Pinball game will be for the Game Boy Advance system. Obvious in the title, this will feature the new Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire. Pretty much the same idea as the first Pokemon Pinball game, but with the new Pokemon.

Pokemon Channel: Together With Pikachu, is for the GameCube console. Not much is known about this yet. It seems like an adventure type game like “Hey You! Pikachu!”, but it looks very different. Expect a different kind of twist in this game.

You will hear more updates about these games as they are available here at Pokemon Elite 2000.
