Can't wait for Lasers to come out. Lupe is definitely my favorite rapper.

I downloaded King Geedorah's album a few weeks ago, this is probably the best song from it. It's got a really great jazzy/early 90's feel to it.

I will because this song destroys New Moon.
EDIT: The following to be added to the good list:
Boot Camp Clik and individual members
Rakim and Eric B

Azeem to the sometimes list.

now i honestly dont know if anybody said this yet, but lots of people should listen to k'naan. He is what i would call a true rapper. try his song Soobax, ABC's, or Somalia. I just finished it

I was looking at the list and noticed you had Jedi Mind Tricks as someone to listen to, it made me happy :) But i also noticed a couple more were missing, (sorry if i added some that you already had..lol)

Non Phixion
Ill Bill (former member of Non Phixion)
Tech N9ne
Army of the Pharaohs (super group including Jedi Mind Tricks' Vinnie Paz, Apathy, Block McCloud, Celph Titled, Crypt the Warchild (Outerspace), Demoz, Des Devious, Doap Nixon, Esoteric, King Magnetic, Jus Allah (Jedi Mind Tricks), King Syze, Journalist, Planetary (Outerspace), and Reef the Lost Cauze)

Vinnie Paz (has one album that came out this year, amazing)
R.A. the Rugged Man
Madlib
Madvillian (supergroup duo of MF DOOM and Madlib)
Necro
Immortal Technique
House of Pain
Everlast
La Coka Nostra (group consisting of Everlast, DJ Lethal, Danny Boy, Ill Bill, and Slaine. Some tracks include B-Real from Cypress Hill)
Trae (rapper from houston, well known for his fast passed rap, cousin of Z-ro)
Z-ro

I'm surprised you didn't have these legends

Big Moe
Fat Pat
Big Hawk
SPM

I sort of don't second this. Everything after Da Carter 2 sucked, including Da Carter 3. And it's saddening because he can be a real good and tripped out lyricist.

You SHOULD be listening to The Sugarhill Gang. The only rap/hip hop band I like. And their old :D

Tha Carter III had a gem or two in the album. Such as Tie My Hands featuring Robin Thicke.

I also actually gave Thank Me Later by Drake a listen sometime in July. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but not great either. Maybe 7/10. A little less, probably.

Hip hop eh.

I remember some good stuff. Unfortunately, I'm 99% sure the stuff I like are stuff that people don't like. Just means that it's niche, like everything else.

If I was President - Wyclef Jean
Get By - Talib Kweli
I Try - Talib Kweli ft. Mary J Blige
Lonely People - Talib Kweli
Take a Minute - K'naan
If Rap Got Jealous - K'naan
Come Close - Common feat. Mary J Blige
Stick to your vision - Maestro

Don't have time, but also I liked Jay-Z, Dre, Choclair (back in the day anyways), 9th Uno, OutKast, and K-OS.

*checks date*
Errrr....I guess don't revive a year-old thread next time, Sean.

I'd consider this thread more of a continuous source of knowledge that I'm assisting in standing the test of time. Of course, that's also some bias speaking there. I'm for compliance with the rules, though, so no problem.
