Ditto glitch in yellow? - Pokemon Forum

Can you do the ditto glitch in pokemon yellow? (read about ditto glitch in glitch section C7 of this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gam...e/198314/42712 )
I have tried going to cinnabar island and find a ditto, but it doesn't transform into the desired pokemon, and then, since you can't press start (no flying/teleporting/swimming/escape roping), you are trapped on the island. Similarly, you can't enter Cerulean cave without surfing to find a ditto there.
Any help?

then how about you go to to fuchsia city like to glitch tells you to.

In pokemon yellow, Ditto can only be found in the mansion in Cinnabar and inside Cerulean cave. Fuschia is probably for Blue/Red.

*I have also tried fainting and returning to the last pokemon center, but it doesn't work, because after that, you can normally press the start button.

Are you sure it works then, because it seems impossible. It must only work of Red/Blue.

I guess so. But the guide says it works... I thought I had finally found a way to get all 151... All the good glitches were fix in pokemon yellow (apart from the mew glitch

)! It's just not fair. I wish I had a blue or red as well.
