Avatar Size?
I was just wondering. Is it possible for Ryan to change the avatar's restricted size? I have a f***ing sweet avy, but it's 150x150.

Re: Avatar Size?
Yeah, but its not the same.Seeing as there is a restricted amount to things in your sig as well.Besides, the avatars should be allowed to be alittle bigger.

I would normally do that but if I scale it down, it will jack up the quality. I know, because I've already tried.

Re: Avatar Size?
Same with me.
It just looks weird if you try to make things smaller some times

Re: Avatar Size?
Resizing does work, but I actually wouldnt mind being allowed a slightly larger Avatar...
150x150 is a good idea...IMO of course...

Re: Avatar Size?
Resizing the image doesn't lower the quality of the pic if you use the right program. :P

Yeah next thing ya know you'll be asking for free pinwheels when you sign up.
Resizing doesn't = lower quality. You have to constrain the proportions, mizzorons. Like so
800x600 < clearly too big for a avatar
Divide by 8.
100x75 < now you're okay.
Stay in school kids.

Re: Avatar Size?
Photoshop will do that automatically for you. If you go to Image -> Image Size and type in the first number, it will automatically change the second number.
As for the avatar size, a slight raise to 150x150 couldn't hurt.

Re: Avatar Size?
Yeah, most newer programs do calculate the second # for you. My favorite program to use to resize images is any Jasc art program.
Although I don't mind how big we can make our avatars (I've been on boards where you're only allowed to have one that's 50x50, no more, no less) especially since most boards are 100x100 maximum. I guess it's just the way it is. But 150x150 would be nice for most members, I can tell. I've seen too many people on this board with avatars that just don't look right resized the way they are. If they could be bigger, that'd be pretty great, I'm sure.
