Hey people. Is anybody here thinking about quitting pokemon? I might. What are you gonna do, stick with or get out?

I've tried quitting Pokemon lots of times, but somehow, a mysterious, invisible force keeps pulling me back in.

..Maybe, I was destined to play Pokemon all my life!...

Heh. Same situation over here.

I actually haven't played Pearl in a little over a month, nor did I purchase Platinum when that was released. Honestly, I believed I was falling out of Pokémon, but then when news of HeartGold and SoulSilver popped up, it jerked me back in. :P

Yeah same thing w/ me i go throught streches of not play pokemon at all . Then you get sucked backed into it because of some reason (pokemon VCG's and Heart Gold/SS (best region ever!!!!) ) Then randomly get sucked out again in a repeating spin cycle( bad analage) of pokemon gameplay overload.

I've had extended breaks, but haven't ever truly quit. I'm sure I will eventually...maybe, at least as I get older, I'll probably get out of it. I played my Red & Blue pretty solidly for the first year or so after it came out, then had about a 5-6 year break, then started playing it again and eventually upgraded to GBA and got LeafGreen, then I got the DS, then got Pearl....then the rest of the games. So, now, with all those options, I've always had something to keep me interested, but I've still taken breaks here and there, ranging from just a couple weeks to several months. Maybe I'll quit it someday, just not anyday too soon.

I am in the midst of liking it alot and disliking it a lot. But I really liked Melee! Pokemon Scramble! (I have always wanted a game like this for Pokemon) and Heart Gold and Soul Silver got me excited. :0

I can't 'quit' Pokemon because I never got 'addicted'.

I play Pokemon like every other game, you play, you beat it, your done. Same process over and over again.

Except a few games can really suck me in. *coughdisgaeacough*

Disgaea sucks me in too like Pokemon does so it's hard to get out of it. The games are good, the anime is sh** and the card game is for nerds.

Despite the horribleness of the anime and the TGC, I actually blame the games on why most people quit Pokemon

Biggest reason, no variety, same process in every single mainstream Pokemon game

And their current spin-offs can't compare to their spin-offs in the past

I do admit I took a break on Pokémon, but I never really quit. But that's when Yu-Gi-Oh was at its best; when Yugi was trying to defeat Marek with the Egyptian God Cards and the Millenium Items. I'd still watch reruns, even get the seasons on DVD if they were priced fairly. I never got to see the apparent closure between Yugi and the Pharaoh after the Atlantean God Card era...

lmfao.

I quit for like two years, and when I started playing it a few months ago...I got bored. xD But now I'm back in again. ;-;

Though I did lose a lot of interest in some things I liked before I took that long break, like the anime and cards. :]
