Moveset and natures are completely wrong, to start Aerodactyl use it this way: SRock/Taunt/EQuake/SEdge and as item from the Focus Sash.

Not Offensive, just mostly for no guard machamps who would otherwise sweep this team

Not a bad team you've got going on here.

First things first, I realise that you no longer have stealth rock, so you'll have to work around that.

For Aerodactyl, I recommend you DON'T use it as a lead, because it is missing the aid of Stealth Rock. If you do plan on using it as a lead, I suggest that you get one with a Jolly nature as it will have an even greater speed. If you have Substitute, I dont think Protect is not necessary, as they do pretty much the same thing. Change Protect for Ice Fang, as this will whittle down the HP of any common leads like Garchomp and Salamence. Without Stealth Rock though, there isn't much else you can do. For an item I would say Leftovers, as it will bring back some of the health lost from substitute.

Tyranitar has a dismal base speed. However, if you change his moveset to Taunt, Fire Punch, Crunch, and Counter, then leads like Gengar, Bronzong, Yanmega, Roserade, etc will have a difficult time, particularly Bronzong, which will be most likely forced to use Gyro Ball after a taunt. Then you can use counter to hit back, lowering his health enough to be able to finish him with a fire punch. This moveset works well with a Focus Sash and a Careful nature.

On Lucario I would change Drain Punch to something else, preferably Hidden Power Ice. Choice Specs would be the best item, along with a Modest nature.

Rather than Zen Headbutt on Metagross I would use Explosion. This will let Metagross wipe out any opposition when he is low on health, and only really powerful steel-type physical walls will manage to stay alive from it. A Choice Band is recommended.

Thats all i can think of really for your team. It seems to be an alright team but have you considered battle strategies that will link moves and pokemon together? And do you EV train? Because EV training will help tremendously.

Yes, I do EV Train. As I said before, the Aerodactyl only has both protect and substitute to out-last machamps, plus protect signifigantly increases the amount of possible substitutes by providing a free turn. And don't forget Pressure! choicers will be forced to either switch or struggle with any moves below 20 pp.

Lonely w/ highest IV defense because speed is extremely important w/o extreme speed, as most pkm needed to be fainted by fight will be faster than him w/o speed boosting nature. can't afford that extra turn w/ earthquake around so much

Tyranitar is a classic DD-tar, and after one DD, he can out speed base 130. Remember Jolly!

I have Sen-Headbutt b/c it is the only psychic coverage on my team, and I personally don't care to much for explosion in single standard. Too many pkm with resistances.

Counter is a good idea though......I'll think about it.

Thanks for the comments!!!

Just a question:
Quote:
Aerodactyl (anti-offensive lead) lv 100

Tyranitar (anti-defensive lead) lv 100
Does that mean that you are doing double battles since you have 2 Pokes marked 'lead'?

Cool Re: Need help with this sandstorm team

No, It simply means that, depending on the opposing trainers lead, I have something for all circumstances

For instance, if my opponent leads with an absol, I'd probably go with tyranitar, since it resists or is immune to most of its attacks

However

If the Absol was carrying Brick Break for some odd reason, I could sent in Aerodactyl to stall until he/she was weak enough from sandstorm damage to by KOed from Aerial Ace

Versatility is everything.

If you claim to EV train, would you care to tell us said EVs?

Garchomp is banned btw, switch for something else please.

I'll give a full rate once the above have been addressed.

Your team is powerful, but how you expect to get around their weaknesses?
Since they're mostly rock and ground, how will you deal with water, grass types?
My advice would be to replace some of their weak moves and replace them with super effective moves.

I might point out that almost all Absol carry Superpower, which obliterates T-Tar, so he isn't a good switch in. I would say more about your team, but Gofre will give you a better rate than I could, so replace Garchomp like he said and go from there.

Oh well, it happened. Please rate my team!

Aerodactyl (anti-offensive lead) lv 100
Jolly nature
Likes to run

Aerial AceEQ/Stone Edge
Substitute
ProtectStealth Rock, since you don't have it... /cry... i guess Stone Edge
Toxic

Protect is kinda silly, since Aerodactyl kinda outspeeds EVERYTHING except like jolteon and ninjask in OU (i think!).

Tyranitar (anti-defensive lead) lv 100
Jolly nature
Good Endurance

Crunch
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Dragon Dance

Fine imo, crunch can be replaced with so many different moves depending on what your weakness is lol.

Rhyperior (Physical wall / sweeper) lv 100
Impish for wall, Adamant for sweeper nature
Quick to flee

Megahorn
Aqua Tail
Rock Wrecker
Earthquake

lots of coverage here... hammer arm ain't great tho, mega-horn, Eq and rock wrecker cover all the types it kills better with more BP except for normal. Aqua Tail has better coverage.

Lucario (Special Sweeper) lv 100
Timid/Modest nature
Sturdy body

Aura Sphere
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Vaccuum Wave

Vaccuum Wave over drain punch for killing sash users and stuff.

Metagross (Physical Sweeper / Finisher) lv 100
Adamant nature
Somewhat vain

Bullet Punch
Meteor Mash
Agility/Explosion
Earthquake

Agility or Explosion over Zen Headbutt depending on what item your using, Life orb with agility, CB/CS with Explosion

Garchomp (Physical Sweeper / for funzees) lv 100
Jolly nature
Somewhat vain

Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Swords Dance
Fire Fang

Thats fine, but watch out for flying types, you haven't got any coverage on flying or levitaters here.

Tell me what u think!
Pretty Good, Rhyperior as your physical wall can work, but he does have alot of weaknesses to physical moves, EQ, CC, Brick Break, Aqua Tail, Waterfall, etc.

Only thing your missing besides Stealth Rock is a special tank...Shove in like blissey or something for aromatherapy/heal bell to get rid of garchomp. Something like

Blissey@lefties
Bold/Calm(252def,200sp.def,like 58hp ow w/e)
Natural Cure
Aromatherapy
Softboiled
Toxic/Calm Mind/Seismic Toss
Ice Beam

It'll heal status', status stuff or do solid damage with seimic, or Calm Mind for uber sp.def and maybe score a KO with Ice Beam on some unsuspecting mence if your lucky or something, idk lol.
