Yeah. Ash getting Espeon, on the other hand, is more viable in Johto.

That's too bad that Dawn gave up Ambipom. I was never a huge fan of Ambipom, but Dawn's team is a lot worse without Ambipom. I wonder if she will catch anything to replace Ambipom.
