It has just been released on serebii.net that Ambipom has left Dawn and gone with a new trainer called Ou. SPOILER!

This is Ambipom's new bio.

Before evolving, Ambipom was originally Ash's Pokémon. However, since Ash met it, it has loved the idea of contests and not battling and was eventually traded to Dawn and evolved soon afterwards. Through the training it received form Ash when it was an Aipom, Ambipom is one of the major powerhouses of Dawn's team, and with this and its love for Contests, it is likely to be used many times in Dawn's campaigns. After partaking in a Pokémon Ping-Pong Tournement, it learned it's true calling and after much consideration, decided to leave Dawn & Ash and stay training in Ping-Pong

I don't mind if Ambiparm is released or not because we can see them again just like Ash's Charizard in Master Quest's Johto Phtot Finish when it balled Blazikin and Articuno and Bradon in the Battle Frontier.

I think that Ambipom lost a lot of confidence in the Tatsuami Contest after losing to Kenny's Prinplup, and now that Ambipom has some new found confidence playing Ping-Pong, Dawn had decided to let him go.

That's what I think anyway.

Meh, doesn't matter although it has had alot of appearances on many of the episodes and it won't really be the same without him/her/both/whatever. I say replace Ambipom with an Eevee and evolve it into Espeon.

Makes me glad by Sunday, Ambipom was part of the Redeem team in winning hall of fame and Koed 3 Pokemon! Man, I can't believe that Dawn would do such a DUMB thing, and I'd say it to her too, D U M B! Releasing the pokemon like that is TERRIBLE. Sometimes I wish on the show they had 'TMs' so that the trainers can understand that teaching a TM boosts a Pokemon's confidence. That's just a bummer, leaving Dawn to play ping pong. They may as well make a sequel to that 'Balls of FUry' movie where Ambipom has to play ping pong to save the world.

I'm actually not that bothered. I would have preferred it to stay, but now Buneary has the slight chance of evolving, and Dawn can add some variety to her team. I also don't really understand why they built up Ambipom's backstory, just to release it.

Actually, Leafeon would be a better choice, to complement May's Glaceon.

I liked Ambipom, but I think that now that she's gone Dawn's team can be a bit more balanced. Hopefully we'll see some more Mamoswine development.

That's too bad that Dawn gave up Ambipom. I was never a huge fan of Ambipom, but Dawn's team is a lot worse without Ambipom. I wonder if she will catch anything to replace Ambipom.

It sucks... Why'd they did it to Ambipom, it was another nonsense for new Pokemon to come.. they made it before to pidgeot, charizard, primeape, squirtle, and i hate it... better if Ambi is traded back to ash and sent to prof. oak... duh!!!

I really doubt it if Ambipom isn't on any of the main characters teams, but then again, Charizard did show up during the third pokemon movie.

There's still a chance... But most likely no.

The Pokemon anime has done stupid stuff... yeah, I agree that this one is one of the stupidest ever.

but espeon would be a real good cause it compliments garys umbreon and since the g/s remakes might mean they will travel to johto, an espeon would be a good idea
