Sinnoh. Giratina is the first Ghost Type Legendary, and Rotom is the first Ghost Type Pseudo-Legendary, Pseudo-Legendary meaning only one in the entire game.

My favorite was good old Kanto. I have quite a few memories there.

I would have to say Hoenn, even though I think that the GSC games were the best (odd how that works...)

Johto all the way.

It was colorful, and it contained many new and rare Pokemon [hardly found anywhere else], but it was still ORIGINAL! *points at R/S/E/D/P*

My most favorite region would have to be Hoenn 'cause it was my first and very own video game that I ever had. Then next comes Sinnoh, Kanto, and last but not least Johto.

Although I love Crystal and I can't wait for a second generation remake, I'd have to say my favorite is Hoenn. Second favorite would be Sinnoh, and then Johto. ^^

Each of the regions had their own special quality...
Kanto was unique and what started one of the best series ever (also contains the best Pokemon ever, Blastoise).
Johto was a very calming place and introduced the more improved Battle System. Also, Stadium 2 was very beautiful.
Hoenn was a very mythical place, IMO. Most of the pokemon are hideous, but it did have Ludicolo and Swampert, so I'll forgive Hoenn for having Salamence.
Sinnoh is all about competitive play, and where most of the corrupt players spawned. As far as layout goes... I really like Orre. Orre was beautiful.

I'm going to go with Kanto, though. Rock on, Blastoise, rock on.

Exclamation Re: Favorite Region

Pokemon Blue FTMFW. Kanto rocked. No video game had gotten me addicted before.

Funny thing was I thought Oddish was the ultimate pokemon because my Squirtle could never beat the dang thing...

Nothing beats the original games. NOTHING.

It's gotta be Kanto for me. It's what first caused me to fall in love with pokémon and it was so fresh. Everything was new and exciting, I would actually train all my pokémon to proper levels before moving to the next gym leader and I just simply loved the layout of everything.

It seems that Nintendo have lost their way a little, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald were all terrible, the only positive was that Ralts was created. Sinnoh is just slow, it sucks the fun out of playing pokémon and because tedious with the badly sprited generation of pokémon.

Nintendo did restore faith after making Gold, Silver and Crystal though. I loved the fact you could travel back to Kanto and relive the journey. That was absolutely awesome. I just wish Nintendo would just create the nexr pokémon game with the same concept, having to battle through each region and moving on. It'd make it so much more interesting.
