Default The Misfits

A friend and I both agreed to make teams made up of pokemon that many people rarely use, use them in different ways, or use ones that we have thought about using many times, but never have. Here's what I have so far, any feedback at all is appreciated.

Xatu@Focus Sash
Timid/Synchronize
252 Speed/?/?/?/? (I really am stumped here. Look at want I want to do, the comment.)
Tailwind
Swagger
Protect
Psychic

LickiLicky@Life Orb
Adamant/Own Tempo
252 HP/252 Attack
Earthquake
Explosion
Ice Punch
Protect

Suicune@Leftovers
Timid/Pressure
252 HP/252 Speed (I told you this team used pokemon differently)
Tailwind
Hydro Pump
Calm Mind
Ice Beam/Protect

Ninetales@Focus Sash
Timid/Flash Fire
252 Sp. Attack/252 Speed
Nasty Plot
Energy Ball
Extrasensory
Heat Wave

Meganium@Leftovers
Bold/Overgrow
252 HP/128 Sp. Defense/128 defense
Leech Seed
Synthesis
Giga Drain
Protect

Bastiodon@Leftovers
Impish/Sturdy
252 HP/128 Def./128 Sp. Def.
Metal Sound
Toxic
Swagger
Protect

This team is not supposed to be normal in any way shape or form. It is designed for fun. At the beginning of the battle the Xatu will use Tailwind one the first turn while the Lickilicky uses protect. The next turn Xatu will swagger on LickiLicky, taking advantage of the ability "Own Tempo". The lickilicky will then begin to earthquake or whatever is appropriate at the time. Well, anyways, tell me what you think about it. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

This is a double battle team.

Woa I've never seen that pokemon at all.

Eh even though I don't do any competetive (especially doubles, lol) I would suggest putting something with Brick Break. Cause even though I really don't know anything about it, it seems Light Screen/Reflect would be used a lot in double battles.

If you really wanna be cool do a Arbok using Gastro Acid on Slaking.

For Lickilicky, you can take a risk for a massive payoff. Drop Protect for Swords Dance and strap on that berry that gives you +1 priority if you're about to die. Use Tailwind and Swords Dance on the first turn. Then Swagger and Swords Dance. That'll bring your attack to +6. Then you can lay in the hurt till you're about to die and EXPLODE. You can switch Xatu out for a Ghost just as you Explode so nothing dies 'cept Lickilicky, and your opponent watches their mons die. IIRC only Rock/Steels and Ghosts have any sort of chance of surviving +6 STABed Explosion

. Lol.

And want to throw in Endure as well? What to switch out gets harder, though... I mean, Ice Beam works against Ghosts but not Earthquake, and for Rock/Steel, Ice is fail against them but not Earthquake. Hmm... Check its moveset. I'd recommend ThunderBolt.

Thanks for all of your input guys...the Arbok using Gastro Acid on the Slaking sounds absolutely EVIL. I like the idea of using that "Cutsap" berry I believe it's called? But at the same time, I want to be absolutely sure that Lickilicky gets of some devastation while it's in there. You all obviously agree with the fact that I need a ghost type, what should I take out for it? Also, what do you think of the other movesets? Are they okay? Also, while I will be using this against my friend, it will also make its way on Wifi battles. Thanks for your input guys.

As to your comment on the suicune, I realize the pokemon itself is very common. What ISN'T common, is my moveset (Tailwind) and it's EVs (252 in speed). Once again, this team will also use common pokemon in strange ways.

This doesn't work. I spent a week researching this ability. If you negate or trade its ability within the 5 turn limit, its stats stay cut. Doing it after the 5 turns is useless. Sorry, but it's a no go. And I do use Regigigas as a base for a team.

Like I said, I'm no competetive batler, but Regigas still seems like it would be tops in UU.

But there's tons of switching so it would probably would be rare to see it finally blow off Slow Start.

Just giving this topic a little nudge. IT was mentioned that I should maybe put a ghost type on my team in place of something so that it can take the explosion of my Lickilicky. What pokemon should I replace for that ghost type? What should that ghost type be? I was thinking maybe a Drifblim for the replacement. But I still don't know what to replace, or a good moveset for that drifblim.

It wouldn't matter because explosion wouldn't effect it at all. Anyway you could use drifblim depends on what you're going to replace it with

I'm considering taking out the Bastiodon for the Drifblim. Sound like a good move to anybody?
