Default [RMT] UU Rain Dance Team

It's all about UU's.

Overview

Lead
Electrode @ Damp Rock
Nature: Hasty
Trait: Static
Evs: 252 Atk / 228 Spd / 28 SAtk
- Rain Dance
- Thunder
- Explosion
- Taunt
Leader of the team. Since Electrode is the fastest Rain Dance user of the team, he can easily set-up a Rain Dance for 8 turns on the first turn of the match. If he somehow survives after the Rain Dance set-up, I use Explosion to bring my sweepers.

Physical Sweeper
Floatzel @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Swift Swim
Evs: 232 Hp / 252 Atk / 16 Spd / 8 Def
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Return
- Rain Dance
Basic physical Sweeper of my team.

Special Sweeper
Ludicolo @ Damp Rock / Life Orb
Nature: Modest
Trait: Swift Swim
Evs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
- Surf
- Grass Knot
- Ice Beam
- Rain Dance
Not much to say here. Max'd SAtk + Modest nature for him to be a good Special Sweeper.

Sponge
Lanturn @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Trait: Volt Absorb
Evs: 252 SDef / 136 SAtk / 80 Spd / 40 Hp
- Surf
- Thunder Bolt
- Confuse Ray / Thunder Wave
- Toxic
Basic Sponge of my team. Bring him out if I predict a electric attack so he can heal with Volt Absorb.

SD Sweeper
Kabutops @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 176 Spd / 80 Hp
- Sword Dance
- Watefall
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
Swift Swim + Sword Dance set-up can wreck havoc. Really good Physical Sweeper if used right.

Bulky Water
Quagsire @ Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
Trait: Water Absorb
Evs: 252 HP / 96 Atk / 160 Def
- Earthquake
- Surf
- Yawn
- Protect
Bulky Water. Can also bring him out if an electric attack is predicted and destroys electric type with EQ.

The team looks good all together but I have some nit picks.

In my opinion you should make Lanturn have a move other then ice beam because you have enough coverage of it already. Consider putting either T-wave or Confuse ray on it to help Kabutops and such set up easier.

Also on Quagsire I really don't think you need toxic, for this team it looks like Yawn would suit it more. Yawn will allow you to cause switches and allow you to set up and do other things with quagsire and more attacking in which he can do more effectively with Yawn.
Nice team btw, I enjoy UU.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I think you're right about Ice Beam on Lanturn. Confuse Ray on him will surely help Kabutops setting up.

Same for Quags. I'll edit my first post with what you said.

Again, thanks for the suggestion.

No problem.
It's good to see some UU around.

As Sean said, it's a great team, it's hard to make a BAD rain dance team lol, but I just have one thing that you should take a look at:
You have no grass resist, and most of your team is weak to it, along with two double weaknesses. That seems like trouble. You may want to try something like a Venusar. If you run Sleep Powder on it, you might be able to keep Toxic on Quagy if you want to, but I think Yawn is a good suggestion. And, Venusaur can stall while the rain is gone, with SubSeeding if you choose to go that route. Leech Seed support will really help all your Life Orb sweepers.

Yeah, it's true that a fast and good sweeper with a good grass move can wreck my team apart.

I'll EV train a Venusaur just in case. Though, if I add a Venusaur in that team, who should I remove for him?

As for Toxic on Quags, I'll remove it for Yawn. It causes switches and it's good in situations where I want to set-up another Rain Dance.

So yeah, about Venusaur's moveset:

Venusaur @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Trait: Overgrow
Evs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
- Leech Seed
- Substitute / Sleep Powder
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Bomb

That set looks good. I really wouldn't reccomend subsctitute on this set though, Sleep Poweder if Venusaur's only real advantage over other grass types. If you want a SubSeeder, Shaymin might also be good. You have plenty of Ice resists on your team, and he still resists grass. He also gets Seed Flare and Natural Cure which is quite win. You can always stick with the big flower though.
