Default The ideal speed pokemon!!!

Regardless of type, which is the most recommended speed pokemon to put in a team?

Note: I don't like Ninjask and therefore I will not accept him, NO LEGENDARIES!!!.

What on earth is a speed pokemon? Dozens of pokemon are fast, but there are several jobs that they can do. "Speed" is not a category of pokemon. Do you ant a sweeper, passer, subseeder or what?

Okay, to make my question/post more clear, I want a pokemon who is fast, short and simple, I want a pokemon who has a lot of footwork for me to make a balanced team, I also want it to be a sweeper, any suggestions?!!!

Check all the pokemon who are above the 115 Speed tier.

Starmie, Ambipom, Sceptile, Jolteon, Aerodactyl

Well, Alakazam has the Highest non-Uber special attack, and killer speed, base 120 I believe... him or Gengar are pretty widely used for their high speed and special attack...

Sceptile is nasty. I'm suprised more people don't use him on shoddy given how damn centralized the whole thing is. 115 rules out Latias by the way. It's a mistake not to consider the psychic dragon, he's the most commonly used sweeper on shoddy now for a reason.

Also, is a sweeper's speed necessarily defined by the speed stat? I guess it is, but it's worth noting that Lucario has 90 base speed and right now, Lucario+swords dance+fsash+extreme speed is a real daunting late sweeping threat on shoddy. And don't forget the 65 base speed Scizor. I mean do i even have to describe how menacing a scizor with a few sword dances can be. He single-handedly killed Weavile's (120+ base speed, i think, don't recall Weavile's actual spd stat) usage once he got bullet punch in plat.

Crobat got dropped from uu on smogon, so he should probably be noted. Although he's not typically a sweeper.

lol, salamence is the most used sweeper and scizor if you count it as a sweeeper as it has bad speed.

latias is rank 9 and there is numerous sweepers in front of it.

Anyways when it comes to hitting hard and fast, alakazam comes o mind, jolteon is nice so is aerodactyl.

You see them both on the same teams many times (salamence as physical and lati as special). Salamance gets nowhere close to the same usage as Latias in the special sweeping category at this time. Point taken however about Salamence usage overall. I would like to see the list of all the special sweepers in front of latias in ou usage and power. I just don't see that.

Scizor+bullet punch killed Aero's late sweeper usability. He's been relegated to srocker with some pop at this point. You wouldn't classify Scizor as a big potential sweeper threat? Priority is superior to speed when sweeping in many cases, just ask Weavile.

That's only because priority makes speed useless, y'know. :o

It really depends you want for your speed pokemon.

If you are looking for a Phazer or lead Crobat is a great choice.
Crobat@Black Sludge
Timid Nature
Ev's: 124 Hp/ 132 Special Attack/ 252 Speed
~Hypnosis
~Taunt
~U-turn
~Air Slash

As for sweepers, there are alot of choices. I'm going to link you to a page that has all the pokemon with the highest speeds,

Here you go.

Starmie FTW, confusing for your opponent to predict.
