This involves the Mew glitch in Pokemon Yellow. I was wondering if you could do the same glitch with other trainers and get a result giving you a completely different pokemon. Can anyone confirm this?

You can indeed. Just gotta be careful, cos I think some do yield Missingno.

Well, I dont have that much info about this glitch, but I heard this once, that this glitch could be performed in Cerulean City, where you can catch Mew at lvl. 9.

You can get a Nidoqueen/Nidoking by doing this n the BLUE/RED/YELLOW version as far as I know.

Also, since the Gambler you use to activate the bug is one you don't actually battle, you can use as many other trainers as you want.

And you can even use the Gambler, too. Just be sure to use him last. :P

You sure can but, like Josh explained, it may trigger Missingo, which you don't want to have on your game. Trust me. >_>

I wouldn't risk it, if you get missingno your game is fried like Elvis' penut butter nana sandwich.

Honsestly, I never thought I could catch Mew at Yellow version. I tried many times but I always fail.

What is the reason why one shouldn't get missing no? I never get a chance to try it myself.

M and MissingNo can corrupt your Hall of Fame, which isn't the worst side effect anyway. I caught one of the two, and it went to my Box. When I tried to withdraw it, the game would crash.

Better to just play it safe.

Oh well... I think all players must be aware of what it'll really happen.

A game crash happens to me when I always clone my Pokemon to ge duplicate items like Rare Candies and more. My Pokemon storage gone nuts and my only choice is to play the game all over again. :(

Yep. got a magmar that way and also "fought" Missingno many times. always had to restart the gameboy.
