Default The Battle for Mother Earth: Legacy of the Shadow Virus [[Need more members!]]

[[Dammit, this RPG is too good, and it keeps dying out. Let's make it work this time people!]]

Good side - Brilliant Sun - Lead by Arceus - Allied with Dialga, Palkia, and Cresselia

Evil side - Eternal Abyss - Lead by Giratina - Allied with Darkrai, Mewtwo, and Deoxys

Prologue:

There once was nothing in the vast universe. Nothing, but a single churning mass of chaos full of crushed up debris and constantly shifting forms of energy. Eventually, over countless millennium upon millennium, a large, pure-white egg formed in the complete middle of the mess. When the time was finally at the right, the egg hatched in the Original One, Arceus. From that Original One, was six, not five, as the current legends claim there was. They were the power of Time, Dialga; the power of Space, Palkia; the power of Emotion, Mesprit; the power of Knowledge, Uxie; the power of Willpower, Azelf; and lastly, the power of Death, Giratina. From those six, time ticked, space expanded. Both humankind and Pokemon were created, and given emotion, knowledge, and willpower. The last thing was death itself. Land formed itself, though all was distorted and bent out of shape. The sea carved itself into the land, creating an eternal dispute between the two to see who deserved to be more dominant. Life was good, though, as other Legendary Pokemon were made by the Original One, to restore and keep balance when ever unkempt. They balanced out land and water, and watched from the skies. They roamed the lands and the skies. The protected the land, they protected nature. They floated, fought, danced. They lived life happily together. After they had done all in their power they could do to shape the earth, the six great ones took great sleep along with the Original One. But through the sleep of one of the mighty ones, came dark thoughts, ones that chilled the bone and sent shivers up and down the spine. Thoughts that would ultimately change the world forever.

In his mighty cave hidden from the rest of the world, the embodiment of Death, Giratina, slept. As he did, he thought long and hard. While he slept, Giratina was still able to keep his eye on the world like he had been born to do. As he did, he watched time and time again the other Legendary using their powers for things other than the hatred that was death. Soon, Giratina grew quite jealous of this. After many years of living in anguish, Giratina personally confronted Arceus. The large Pokemon demanded an explanation to why he only controlled such minor powers. Arceus simply replied by saying he chose Giratina's abilities for a reason, and felt that the dragon was the only Pokemon powerful and responsible enough to control the powers. This made Giratina all the more mad. He returned to his cave, and sealed himself off from the rest of the world. Over countless years of being alone, Giratina stumbled upon something in the depths of his own mind. He thought - no, he realized - that with no Arceus to govern the world, it would slowly but surely revert back to it's original state. And in the mighty chaos, he would be the one ruler, the one who created all land, and brought his mighty law to all who served and lived in his domain. He dreamed of the day when he would rule all of that darkness, where no one opposed him, where he was king; where he was god. Giratina devised a devious plan to rally up troops of the shadow - to rally them up, and ultimately destroy Arceus in one final showdown where he resides; the Beginning Dimension. And, fortunately for him, so did three other powerful, and yet sadly, evil Pokemon; Darkrai, Mewtwo, and Deoxys.

Plot:

Giratina hatched yet another idea. While he was recruiting combatants for his shadow army, he would contact the three other evil Pokemon, and see if they would make a pact to ally up with each other. Ready to depart, Giratina left his cronies to watch over his cave, and took flight to Darkrai's island. Little did he know, Arceus was watching him. As Giratina flew over the caves and foothills of Sinnoh, his shadow left an eerie mark on the land. Soon, in about a day, Giratina made his way onto the island Darkrai resided on. Darkrai had already been recruiting a few myrmidons for his own personal doings. For over a month now they have been landing sneak attacks on Canalave City, the closest city to Newmoon Island. When Giratina informed Darkrai of his plans, all he could do was smirk. He told Giratina to go off and inform Deoxys, and then Mewtwo. Meanwhile, Darkrai bolstered his forces by corrupting the minds of the other Pokemon that inhabited the island. Giratina traveled all the way to Hoenn's Mossdeep City, and then Kanto's Cerulean City, and informing both Deoxys and Mewtwo of his destructive plans. They too told Giratina to go fly off, back to Sinnoh, while they would control minds of defenseless. For, Giratina created a power, a power which allowed mental domination of the body, that made Pokemon their slaves, and shared that power with the others. All while Arceus watched them all.

On one cold November night, around midnight, several months after Giratina told of his plan, the plan finally came into action. With everybody having plenty enough warriors, they struck. Giratina attacked Veilstone City, Darkrai crushed Canalave City, Deoxys ambushed Mossdeep, and Mewtwo raided Cerulean. They struck at midnight to insure their victory, but little did they know, they were being watched. Cresselia, being dangerously close to Darkrai, rushed herself to Arceus. As she raced across the waters, the four Legendaries were tearing up and destroying anything that was in their past. Business done within a matter of a few hours, the amazingly strong dark forces left as quickly as the came, leaving nothing but destruction and death in their wake; all part of Giratina's master plan. Cresselia, fearing that she was too late to save the cities, raced as fast as she could. As she reached Mt. Coronet, she found nothing opposing her way to the top of the large mountain. Once she reached the top, she witnessed Arceus confronting Dialga and Palkia about the situation. Arceus knew exactly what the plan was, for he had been watching the whole ordeal for a very long time now. Enraged that one of the very beings he created himself would betray him, he knew it was now time. Arceus' head was filled with all the pain and agony of the Pokemon from the world down below. He walked towards the edge of the Beginning Dimension, and as he did, looked at Dialga, Palkia, and Cresselia. Arceus walked to the very edge of his domain, and send out a message to all the pure Pokemon left in the world.

"Brave Pokemon warriors, defenders of light, of nature, and of all life itself, arise. Your time has come to defeat these evil beasts, corrupted and mislead. You must stop them from overtaking this world, and turning it once again into chaos."

/[[Global News]]\

Reports of strange acting Pokemon have sprung up around and in the areas of the cities that have been attacked. These accusations claim the Pokemon's bodies have taken on varioud pale shades, and their eyes have an unnerving, zoned-out stare. Ask anybody who claim to have witnessed the Pokemon and they'll tell you they had felt a dark and chilling presence emanating from the very core of the Pokemon. While the reports from all over list several noticeable differences from normal Pokemon, two have been confirmed - the dark presence, and the lack of a shadow from all witnessed Pokemon. Because of these symptoms so to speak, the unofficial name of "Shadow Virus" has arisen, and has become a popular name for citizens and scientists alike.

Several Flying-Type Pokemon, such as Gliscor and Honchkrow, have been seen around territories known to have been under the control of the attackers. Some fear that these may be scouts, looking for new members for their armies, while others think they might be looking for anybody that got away. Whichever one it may be, however, indicates that this isn't just some one-time battle; this is war. Fortunately, other Pokemon, such as Staraptor and Altaria, have been seen flying around the general vicinity Mt. Coronet in a similar fashion as the previously mentioned Pokemon. If these fliers are aligned with the legendary Pokemon rumored to live atop the mountain, then there might just be hope for the entire world.

RULES:
  1. Don't be afraid to get a little violent in this. Just keep the blood to a minimum.
  2. This is no place for romance. Remember that.
  3. No bunnying, god-modding, invincible characters, blah blah blah
  4. I'm a grammar freak, so please optimize your writing skills. It's not going to kill you :P
  5. Long, fluent sentences make RP's flow nicely.
  6. Supplies are starting to thin. Not everybody is going to have an insane amount of items.
  7. With all of the chaos going on, most of the smaller wild Pokemon are not going to be flitting about in the wild.
  8. The goal here is to interact with others, not to be on an adventure all by yourself.
  9. Character restrictions are none existent to me. If you can handle them, make them.
  10. Don't even attempt to sign up with a history of personality of a minimum of at least for pages.
  11. Do NOT post a sign up if you are not at least semi-literate.

vampire man: Not even close to being accepted. Way too short, and there's no history. Until you update it, pending. Barely.

Deth Bringer Rita: Age means age. In role playing, level doesn't have much affect.

Name: Alazel (Al-a-Z-ale)
Species: Houndoom
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Role*: Physical , Support
Personality: He may seem a bit cold hearted at times, but it is all in good intentions. He does have a bit of a bitter side to him when confronted about humans, he usually just shuts down and refuses to talk. He was not always like this though, once he was a kind and lovable pokemon. He still is, just in a different manner. On the outside, he may seem like Cold stone. But on the inside, he is still the loyal companion he was left at seven years ago. He really cares, even when he does not show it.
History: Several years ago, when Alazel was much younger, he was happier. Living with a small family of three in Cerulean.A mother, a father, and little toddler just learning to walk. He took much joy in being with the family, helping them carry things, just helping make there lives easier. He loved it all. Well, the good years went by at a fast pace. As soon as the young toddler grew to a young teenager, she took off from home to start her own journey. Alazel was a bit depressed after she left, he felt a bit empty in a way.
Well, as time went on, The mother and father got a call from their little girl. She was stuck in Mossdeep city and needed to get home immediately for some unknown reason. They had no idea why, but they could not go to such a place. Upon there 'bright' idea, they sent Alazel to bring her home. He had been through these parts long ago when he was running with his pack, he knew them like the back of his paws. Back then he went all over...he had his share of fun.
Though, as bitterly as fate had dealt it, he was poisoned while walking through some very tall grass from a thorn of some sort. He tried to keep going, but grew too weak and ended up being at a Pokemon Center for over a week. By the time he had left there and tried to make his way to Mossdeep, it was too late. Stories from fleeing pokemon made there way to his ears, sorrow filled his heart. All of what he had, was gone...

Default Re: The Battle for Mother Earth: Legacy of the Shadow Virus

Name: Hadyn
Species: Infernape
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Role: Physical

Personality: Hadyn is a very calm, joyful, laid back Pokemon. Through his vigorous training, the Infernape has grown oblivious to most distractions, and always focuses on things with perfect attention. Hadyn, either because of his strength, or because of his strong willed heart, is very confident, and would go into the deepest parts of any war to save his homeland. Hadyn can last in the heart of battles for large amounts of time, as shown by training with his master, a Lucario named Apollo. But, Hadyn has a temper side, and sometimes it shows. Aside from this minor personality dysfunction, Hadyn is a wonderful friend to have around.
History:

Ages 1-6 [Chimchar]:

Hadyn, when he was a Chimchar, was chosen from Professor Rowan's lab to be the starting Pokemon of a trainer. Not wanting to be captured for mindless thinking, he immediately threw a fuss when the beginning Trainer came around to get him. After he had almost injured the Professor, Hadyn saw his chance and escaped. He ran into the wild, and ended fighting countless battles everywhere he went. Hadyn moved by night, and slept by day, though it was very hard to since he was constantly under attack of wild Pokemon. When he was near, Hadyn would rest in a town or city, where he would lazily idle about. Once he would regain his strength by bathing, drinking water, eating Berries either given to him or ones he picked himself, and by resting, Hadyn would set out at dusk, where he would aimlessly find a place he could call home. For the next five years, Hadyn would search for that one special place. And on on very special day, Hadyn experienced the event that would change his life forever, and at the end, give him a home, and a family.

Ages 7-14 [Chimchar/Monferno]

One the day he had turned seven years of age, Hadyn had over heard several people having a discussion about Iron Island, not too far away from Canalave City. This had been in Veilstone, so Hadyn had a long ways to go. He had heard of them speak of a great Lucario who lived on the island, who would take in and raise any disciple hardy enough to live on the island and train with him. On his way there, Hadyn was attacked by rather large Machoke. In that fierce battle, Hadyn finally evolved into a Monferno. With his new found powers, he easily defeated to opposing Machoke. In a few days, Haydn reached Canalave. Well, rather Jubilife. He was faced with a tough dilemma; getting across the water and to Canalave City. During his thinking, he was confronted by a Mantyke, who agreed to carry Hadyn across the water to the city just beyond in exchange for some very rare berries, said to be somewhere in the middle of Sinnoh. With the described image of the berries, Hadyn set out once again into the depths of Sinnoh. For days he searched high and low, until, at last, he found one of the berries described. Carefully plucking it, he wrapped it thrice with large leaves, and raced back to the awaiting Mantyke. As promised, he was transported to Canalave.

Shortly after reaching the small island city, Hadyn heard the unmistakable roar of a large engine. A small ferry was heading out, and was about to leave. Hadyn darted his way to the ship, and reached the dock where it was about to leave. Unfortunately for the Monferno, the ship had departed. So again he ran, this time to a draw bridge in the city. Just to add insult to injury, the bridge had started to go up. But Hadyn continued to climb, and finally, he leaped off the edge into the boat, landing in a large tarp. The didn't actually stop at the island with the Lucario, it just passed by it. So, in a few minutes, the ferry passed by the aisle, and Hadyn leaped from the side, landing with a large thud. The small island held no importance whatsoever - it held not even the significance to be placed on a map. The only thing that stood out was a cave, which Hadyn headed towards. Soon, he met the Lucario he had heard about. He made a deal with him, who was named Apollo, and for the next several years, he lived and trained with his new Lucario master.

Ages: 15-26 [Monferno/Infernape]

Under Apollo, Hadyn went under vigorous training. Apollo first said that the most important thing right now was to get Hadyn to evolve into an Infernape. While training with his master, Hadyn realized that Apollo was nothing that he had expected. In his mind, Hadyn thought Apollo would be a mean trainer who barely cared for him, and made him go beyond his physical limits. But no, Apollo was much different. He, for one, cared deeply for his disciple, for the Lucario also ran away from home when he was a small boy. Second, Apollo acted as a father figure to Hadyn, and never trained him beyond Hadyn's limits. After two years of special training, Hadyn finally evolved into an Infernape. "Now, the real training begins." Was what Apollo said the moment Hadyn evolved. Rock smashing, boulder lifting, physical combat, all were the things the Infernape had attempted, and, after a while, perfected. Several more years passed on. Hadyn and Apollo constantly sparred with each other, honing each others skills. Apollo once told Hadyn to come with him to the mainland, where the would spend a few days crafting makeshift dummies and other training objects. Once it had been almost a decade, Apollo told Hadyn that he had learned all that the Lucario could teach him, and it was time to move on. Hadyn, with Apollo being his only family, asked if he could permanently live in the cave. To his dismay, Hadyn was told that he must leave the island for good, for Apollo had to teach more disciples for battles. With a smile on his face, Hadyn said thanks for all the Apollo has done for him, and told him he wished to spar again if they ever got the chance.

Side: Brilliant Sun
Other: As proclaimed in the Pokedex, Hadyn uses a style of martial arts involving all of his limbs.

Name: Bison

Species: Donphan

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Role*: Physical

Personality: Real stuck-up and always loving himself, especially his tusks.

History: Was raised to level 20 as a phanpy by his trainer, but as his trainer caught bigger and better pokemon, he was released. After released, he quickly found a group of barely stronger Donphans, who taught him all the moves he knows. As he grew with his friends, he decided he would use a hate to help fuel his fighting, which in the long run, caused him to level up twice as fast... what exactly was it that fueled his anger? His old trainer. As he grew more and became a mighty Donphan, he grew mighty tusks, which to Donphan's are highly respected, making him the cream of the crop. Eventually he found a baby phanpy, with a similar background, and has trained him to become strong, and maybe eventually be the Donphan with the largest tusk. Whenever his local baddie Darkrai had started recruiting, he knew he could easily be a great asset to Giratina for raw power, and his hatred would help fuel the power Giratina so obviously needed on his frontlines.

Side**: Eternal Abyss

Other: With his mighty horns, his horn attack is now doubled in strength, but in turn, causing him to become much slower. (If you don't want this, I'll remove it, but keep in mind it only affects his horn attack)

It's good, but two things. One, the personality is a little short. Two, in role playing, levels don't exist, just like in the Anime. Instead, we use age to determine how powerful a Pokemon is.

Actually they do exist in the Anime, have you seen Episode 9, Season 1? School of Hard Knocks. I'm not saying you should have it in the RP though...

Anyways, here is my SU.

Name: Max
Species: Arcanine
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Role: Physical
Personality: Tough, relatively smart and very stubborn. These are the words which best describes Max. He is also the leader type, and thus he has a slight problem when it comes to following orders. However, since he understand that the only way to be able to be in command, is by following commands until you get promoted. Therefore he has, reluctantly, put aside his thoughts of being a leader, and instead started to follow the orders given to him.
History
Growlithe(0-13)
Born and raised in the forest near Lilycove City, Hoenn, Max lived a peacful life together with his two siblings and their parents. The five of them had been alone ever since Max's parents had run away from their pack. There had been a slight misunderstanding, and Max's father had been forced to escape if he was to survive. He soon ran into Max's mother, and after Max, who were the oldest one of his siblings, was born they settled down in this forest. When Max was around 10 years, he was given a Firestone from his father. He was told that once he felt ready, he was allowed to use it. It would make him evolve into an Arcanine, the same species that his mother and father was. Max was tempted to use it, but then told himself that the day he could look at it, without immediately wanting to evlove, then he would reconsider using it. It took him 3 years until this happened, and one day, during his 13th year, he evolved.

Arcanine(13-21(present))
Shortly after evolving Max felt like it was time for him to move out. He therefore told his parents that he was going to leave them and find a place to live elsewhere. When he promised them that he would come back and visit them his father told him, "Don't make promises you can go through with. If you're ever nearby then drop in for a visit, if you're not, that means you have found someplace else where you can live a happy life." He then smiled, "I felt much like you when I was your age, always looking for adventures, and I found one of the greatest adventures in my life after I had left my old pack. Your mother and you kids, you are the best things that has ever happened in my life." After hearing this Max somehow knew that he would never see his family again, and therefore he only said, "I love you too. All of you." He then looked at the faces of his familymembers one at a time, then turned around and ran of to find an adventure.
After living a free life for several years, he heard of a terrible event at some place called mosdeep city. Nobody could tell exactly what had happened, but everyone was running away from it, even the water pokemon swam away from the island. Shortly after this he heard a message, a message that could come from one being, and one being alone, Arceus. Shocked by this message, but also determined to do whatever he could to help. Now the only question was how to get in touch with Arceus and the other pokemon who had heard the same message.

Hmm, Johto is the only region yet to be the victim of this disaster, unless mewtwo is messing with Johto as well as kanto? Just wanted to point that out.

Ever since going on his rampaging streak, Brutal has become a very dangerous Pokemon that does not associate with anyone except for the ones he respects the most. As for the others, he will go at all means neccesary to kill and slaughter them till there is nothing left, but a puddle of blood.
History:

Geodude (Ages: 0 - 8)
Brutal was born and raised within the dark depths of Mt. Coronet along with his three other sisters. Unlike his sisters, Brutal was a very energetic Pokemon that always loved to battle. Sometimes Brutal and other Pokemon that resided in Mt. Coronet would test their skills to see who was tougher. However these battles have sometimes frustrated Brutal and made him angry. On one dark night, Brutal went too far and had killed another Pokemon. This struck fear within the hearts of all of the other Pokemon and formed respect for the intense Pokemon.

Graveler (Ages: 8 - 16)
Since that one night, Brutal felt like he was not respected by any of the Pokemon so he went on a rampage killing every Pokemon that he was able to slay. From Zubats to Cleffas, dead bodies layed in his waste. His parents took notice to this and ordered Brutal to stop immediately. Did Brutal stop? Heck no, this only triggered an even darker side to Brutal. Brutal took out his parents as well as his family easily and continued to strike fear throughout all of Mt. Coronet.

Around the age of fifteen and sixteen, Brutal felt that he needed to show his strength off to the entire world so left his home and made his evil ways towards the adjacent areas to continue his rampage.

Golem (Ages: 16 - Present)
After he had evolved in Golem, Brutal become an extremely powerful Pokemon. Using the land as his ally, Brutal destroyed all that was in his path and left a trail of death behind him. Darkrai took notice to this and went to meet Brutal. Darkrai informed him of Giratina's plan and without saying a word, Brutal nodded his head with an evil smirk on his face. Brutal, a Death-craving powerful Pokemon, became one of Giratina's best warriors.
