Also, no grouchies about Nu-Metal. O< It may not be fantabulous but it's still classed as a genre of metal. So... yes.

...It's not really viewed a genre of Metal. Nu-Metal is not listed a sub-genre of Metal, but rather a genre of its own.

Not according to Encyclopedia Metallum, which 90% of I agree with. It's rare I find a Nu-Metal band listed there.

Nope, it really doesn't, but Nu-Metal was derived from Metal and I don't see what's so hard to understand.

Anyways, a band I've been into a lot lately is Lacuna Coil. Cristina Scabbia has this voice that simultaneously makes me melt and makes me hard as a rock. ******* I'd buy her a drink any day.

Yeah, LC are alright. :3 I like 'Within Me', but that's basically the only one I've heard. Apart from the one on Guitar Hero III. > w>

Same here. I'm craving some other bands, but I can wait.

P.S. Nu-metal doesn't have any metal roots. It's just some talentless knob either rapping or whining over a couple of power chords.

Oh my god. Are you all bloody fools? Many Nu-Metal bands have talented vocalists who don't rap or whine, many bands use more than simple power chords, and it's all rooted in Metal you taint. Thus the friggin' name Nu-Metal.

But, as it is many of the more popular Nu-Metal bands worth a damn are naturally evolving into other genres. Disturbed is more Groove/Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, Linkin Park is Modern/Arena Rock, KoRn is going Industrial and have some Prog elements in their newer stuff, Taproot is Hard Rock, Limp Bizkit is dead (thank god). But Nu-Metal is still rooted in Metal. Just get off your high horse and accept it.

I love Disturbed. Linkin Park just irritate me now because of the whole Jay-Z trash, and KoRn are awesome.

But hey, we're not here to argue about the spawning of Nu. *Shrugs* It was just invented to get the chavs into music.

Anyway. :3 Accepted, Lord Lucario. *Adds to the list*

Nu-metal is for angsty pre-teens. Of course, it's played loudly, so all the little kiddies are like OMFG THIS IS SO @#$%@#@$#w#$#%&u^#%@#@$#qw$M3T4L!1!1

You failed so now you resort to idiotic categorization. I'm 20, I'm not angsty, and I like some "Nu-Metal" bands (though most of them are now Post-Nu-Metal).

Let's just move onto another topic right now because this WILL NOT END otherwise.

Amon Amarth anyone? I'm thinking of posting a few videos on youtube of my playing their songs on guitar.

And I say we do a Metal Awards thing, choose our year's best.
