Question: What does focus energy ('pokemon' is getting pumped) do? And what does Mist ('pokemon' is shrouded in the mist) do?

Focus Energy increases the chance of getting a critical hit and Mist stops reduction of stats in battle (like the effects of Growl, Tail Whip, etc.).

Where do you suggest I train my team at to get them ready for the elite four in Yellow?

Hitmonlee lv 41
Pikachu lv 41
Marowak lv 41
Mew lv 41
Blastoise lv 45

All I can think of is victory road, but it takes too long for them to reach a new level.

I'd say spend all your money on potions and sutff and just keep trying the E4 while leveling up your pokemon :) For example train 1 or 2 pokemon by only beating the first of the Elite 4, then 2 others with the second and so on. If they're not strong enough for that, indeed try Victory Road

Oh, I've beaten the elite four already. What I did was I traded them all to my gold then made one hold exp-share and challenged the elite four. They got a boost because they were traded. All lv 50 after about 2 or 3 rounds of the elite. Right after trading them back, my first shot at elite, I won.

well, i used missingno. to rare candy all my pokemon until lvl 98, then i gave max of all vitamins to them, then used one RC to get them to lvl 99, evolving them then doing the vitamins againthen did one more lvl.

I have pokemon yellow and silver for gameboy color, and yellow, red, blue, gold and silver on emulator. I usually train a lot of different pokemons, coz I think that's the most fun... being able to choose. Yesterday I found out how to get Mew, and I caught it and won the game to get my new team... in a couple of more days it would be the strongest team I have ever had! (I never cheat... that's boring)
