Default Why wasn't/hasn't DWM 3 released in English?

That's proof that Dragon Quest(The Japanese name for Dragon Warrior) Monsters 3 has been released in Japan before, but the english version of it was never released in English. It's been more than a year since DQM3 has been released in Japan, it couldn't take them up to a year long to translate the game to english. I've been a DW fan for a long time, and I've searched the net for reason why this was cancelled/delayed, but to no avail. I'm thinking the reason might be they're still working on it or Enix and Squaresoft's merge...But they couldn't just cancel a game that has gameplay comparable to Final Fantasy...

I am THE dragon warrior fan. Ask me anything. It is a shame that there has been no support for DW by squenix.

If you remember, after DW4 in the NES enix closed it's american company, then many many years later, Eidos got the license to distribute DWMonsters, it was in the middle of the Pokemon hype so it sold excellent. Enix saw it and decided to re-open their offices in America, they launched DW1&2 with great success, and so was DWM2(both versions) sadly, DW7 even though getting great reviews by every magazine/website it sold like crap because it is not "pretty looking" like Final Fantasy.

After that it seems Enix lost a lot of interest sadly. And with the merger they seemed to have totally forgotten about Enix games here in America. Such a shame the most important/popular company and game in Japan is not even known in the US. So even though the previous DWmonster games sold great, since it was for playstation they decided to not bring it to america. But hey theres some great news, Dragon Warrior will finally be known as Dragon QUest(like in japan) since the copyright ended. And it appears squareenix WILL bring DQ8 to america :D:D

Awww...DWM was and is still my favorite Gameboy series (even more than Pokemon). Dragon Warrior/Quest is fun, but I like using and raising monsters more than people.

=(
