I'm going for a Uni fancy dress party, and then staying at home giving treats to kids who come. Nope, too old to go T&T-ing, so nah. XD
No one is ever too old, you just have to know how to do things ;). Every chance I get each year I 'help' and end up with candy :3. I am a twenty-five year old Halloween fan :D

Hehe Becky..if you think I'm fourteen, I'm actually seventeen. XD All my Uni friends would laugh at me if I go T&T-ing.

Well...I might though. You have given me something to mull over. =3

THE STORY OF HALLOWEEN

Years ago, some colonists in America were afraid of monsters and made a holiday in which random monsters would walk around. They thought that some people should disguise as them as well. Then for reasons unknown to Kendo-kind, they decided to give out candy to everyone.

THE END

Did you know that Halloween is probably the dumbest holiday?

.....

Yeeeeaaaahhhh. It's not an insult, I used to go trick-or-treating, too, but costumes aren't worth the money... ;_;

It's not dumb at all, many other holidays have far less history. I would say that Halloween is one of the few with a true reason for being as it dates back so far and also crosses into so many cultures under different names. It is not just what it has become in modern times :). If you want to know a far more detailed version of the history of Halloween around the world I recommend the book "The Halloween Tree" for even our youngest members :)
And dressing up is worth the money, at least, unlike other things we buy, costumes can be used over and over, even if it is just for fabric.
But then I was raised to reuse everything, so you get more than your moneys' worth thinking that way:)

I thought it was based after a Pagan holiday.

I don't have any plans; I think I'm just going to stay home and work on my websites. Most of my friends are working today, too. =/

Yeah, it was thought that ghosts of your relatives came back on that day, so people dressed up so that they weren't recognized.
