A/N: Mmmm, retcons.

Chapter 19: Ballad of Heroes
Finch; This is for you.
-Note left to Finch from Reg Lando prior to his disappearance. The note was left next to a package that contained Reg Lando’s Dao Blade, named Gesshokumaru.
Floor L-32, HMS Triumvirate
Space

Neo and rust looked out the window of the room, as Silver Etherlight’s escape pod launched. Considering it was the Captain’s escape pod, it would probably be faster than a normal escape pod. Both didn’t think it would take longer than an hour to get rescued. However, disaster struck. As the pod launched, Diabora lurched out, and ripped off the escape pod’s communications arrays and fuel couplings. He then sent it spiraling forward at an immense speed.

“Oh my…” Neo said, speechless. He was marooned by the machinations of Diabora, and not only that, marooned with a ship full of incredibly strong freaks and his greatest enemy. Diabora laughed, as he jettisoned himself away, “Damnit! Why doesn’t he just kill us outright?”

“Because,” rust began to explain, “Without his void shields, he’d lose a battle against us. That’s why he’s depending on these Uberdiablos and marooning us on a ship, to prevent us from getting close enough to throw a punch. And he also likes f*cking with us.”

“Reminds me of you,” Neo observed, as he laid back on the bed, trying to absorb everything that happened, “What’s going to happen now?”

“You can’t survive in space and we have a limited amount of oxygen,” rust explained to Neo, “We’re in a pretty tight spot right now. We have to hope to Ketsuban that Silver was able to communicate with the Spacewing before getting set off course by Diabora.”

“So we’re screwed,” Neo surmised.

“Yeah, pretty much,” rust replied. He sat down in a chair in the room that was bolted to the floor and slumped, “Damn, I wish I had my flask on my right now… Oh well, its only a matter of time before I meet Necros and his goons again… That’ll set us back a good week or so.”

“You just need to go,” Neo told rust, “I’m a goner. At least if you survive, everyone still has a chance.”

“Not in your life,” rust replied, “I will be the only one killing you, thank you very much. We’ll figure out some way to get out of here.”

“Its your… second funeral…” Neo said, awkwardly. Many jokes involving death had to be altered when speaking to rust because he knew what it was like to die.

“I’m not going back to hell again. As such, I don’t plan on dying today,” rust replied, his voice laced with arrogance. It was slightly reassuring to Neo that rust had no intentions of dying, though he didn’t know if rust was putting on a show to look tough, or if he actually was tough.

“What was hell like?” Neo asked, “I’ve only seen bits and pieces of heaven myself…”

“Its full of puss*es. A bunch of people going, ‘Oh, what did I do? Why did I stray from the path of Arceus?’ It’s a bunch of bullsh*t. Needless to say, it didn’t take long for me to kill… everyone there. Of course, in hell, demons really don’t die. They just respawn, like in a video game.”

“You’re probably the oldest of all of us and you’re talking to me about video games?” Neo asked, slightly astounded.

“Oh, sure,” rust said, remembering his youth, “Tiantus had this great computer set up back in the eighties. He had a crapload of games there… Since he wasn’t doing much anyway when Aqua was only a band of small-time mercenaries.”

“You and Tiantus go way back…” Neo said, surprised, “How did you two meet?”

“It was the night that I had killed my step-father. He came home drunk, and beat my mother to death. However, I went at him with a knife and killed him. I ran away and torched the place afterwards,” rust explained, reliving painful memories, “When I ran away, I bumped into Tiantus. He was selling drugs for money to buy a computer. He was also the one that helped me pick my name, because I had to change it so I wouldn’t be connected to the murder of my step-father. I never capitalized the ‘r’ whenever I wrote it, because I had always felt incomplete… That those ten or so years I spent as Raize Haseo would never come back to me.”

Neo processed this information as fast as he could. He had learned so many new details about rust Makuta, it was hard to keep up. He almost sympathized with his greatest enemy and the man who set the world record for most direct and indirect murders.

“However, I’ve told you a lot about me. I have a question for you,” rust explained, “Do you remember when you visited Sootopolis with your father, Nathan Winterfield, when you were around ten?”

“Yeah…” Neo said, taken aback slightly by the fact that rust knew about that, “How the hell do you know about that?”

“So, that really was you,” rust replied, “Remember the crazy man that said something about life to you two? That was me. I had been tasked to kill your father, but I was never able to bring myself to do it. In the end, I had killed my step-brother and took over his gang.”

Neo’s eyes were wide open, amazed by the fact.

“If I would have killed your father, I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to form Team Aqua, and you never would have been a soldier,” rust explained, “So, it was probably for the best.”

“…” Neo was speechless. He was now wondering if keeping his father was worth the millions that rust Makuta had slaughtered. He knew that he had had no choice in the matter, and yet, he also wondered if his insistence on going with his father when he was child was the one decision that doomed the world to rust Makuta’s wrath. No… Neo had decided, rust would have found another way to gain power to wage war on the world, “Yeah, I guess so.”

There was an awkward silence in the room for a couple of moments, as Neo checked his oxygen level. He still had 75% of his tank left. The wound on his back was also hurting less. Looking around the room for some kind of distraction, until he looked on the desk and saw a computer terminal, “Bingo!”

“What?” rust asked, confused, as Neo’s Bingo came out of nowhere.

Neo went toward the computer like a hungry dog to food, and quickly hacked it. He did a quick scan of the files on the computer’s registry, finding all the files accessed when Diabora raided the ship. Quickly, he collated them, looking for common terms within the documents.

“Ah-HA!” Neo exclaimed full of exuberance, “Hiigarus, Shield, Shielding Technology, and Dimensional Travel are things all of these files have in common.”

“Diabora’s looking to create a new shield out of Hiigaran technology?” rust asked, thinking he had solved Diabora’s puzzle, “And that’s why he attacked Ultima City! He was looking for information regarding Project DIAMOND and Project PEARL.” DIAMOND and PEARL were two secret Aqua shielding technology projects researched during the Great War. They were abandoned when Samkat and Trevor, whom had been contracted by Team Trainer, had found a way around them using Dark Energy.

“This is why Diabora is hiding, he’s too weak to battle without the shield… I mean, he’s strong, but he’s no longer invulnerable,” Neo surmised, “However, if we’re right, it looks like Hiigarus has something that can make him invulnerable again.”

“So, this was the information he needed; the existence of shielding technology far superior to that of Aqua’s… Meaning that Diabora is going to Hiigarus…” rust said, “We have to warn the Hiigaran government.”

“You think? This may be the thing we need to stop Diabora. Hiigarus has weapons with destructive capabilities that we can’t even imagine. If Diabora goes to Hiigarus, they’ll kill him,” Neo replied.

“And, if we’re wrong, another massacre on the level of Sekai happens, and Diabora becomes invincible once again,” rust told Neo, “Better safe than sorry.”

“Agreed,” Neo said, “Of course, we need to get out of here first.”

“That doesn’t seem to be a problem,” rust replied, looking out the window, seeing the Spacewing approach the Triumvirate, “Looks like Silver’s message got out after all.”

Cala
Calmencia

Silver Etherlight’s escape pod crashed onto the surface of Calmencia. Reports said that it was a lush world with no sentient life. Etherlight cursed, he knew that he was marooned. And not only that, without any technology or means to gather resources. He’d go insane on the lifeless planet, and die lonely.

He advanced, gun in hand, towards the forest, looking for water and food. He could at least survive if he assessed his surroundings. He found a lake, and shed his evac suit quickly. Tossing it to the ground, Silver was wearing his normal clothes once again. Scanning his body, he found several scientific implements, but no communication devices. He cursed once again, and then washed his face off with the clean water.

Turing around, several people dressed like Space Pirates were there, with their plasma guns pointed at him, “Hello, gentlemen…”

“Who the hell are you?” One of them asked.

“Silver Etherlight, pleasure to meet you,” He replied, “I’m a scientist and a Mecha specialist. How can I assist you?”

“A mecha specialist, eh?” The leader of the band of pirates asked, “The Valhalians need someone exactly like you.”

Nice chapter, very interesting to see the dawning of Valhalla Genesis.

Great to see this fic still alive and kickin'. Keep it up, amigo.

That was great how you pulled rust's first encounter with Neo in there. ^^
And...it sounds like Silver could be having some trouble of his own huh?

More typos to kill before the next chapter.

That's continuing a sentence, should be lower-case.

Only two. That's not bad. ^^

Actually, that's Silver's last hurrah in this fic. I set up the formation of an organization known as Valhalla Genesis, which was team in Team RP V (which is set 100 years after this fic), which was led by a man named Silver Etherlight. Assuming he was a descendant of the Silver Etherlight from Team RP II/TFA, something had to be done to set that up.

Oh, and I'm sorry I haven't been fixing the typos, I've been busy and its a hassle to edit the post and my Word Document with the fic in it. >_> Its on my list, though, and will be done when I muster enough un-lazy. I sincerely thank you for helping me out, though.

His last hurrah? Oo So what, does he like, disappear from the fic?

And it's no problem. Glad to help. ^^

I might have one more bit with him establishing Valhalla Genesis with the ascendants (is that the right term?) of Joseph Vhalian and Kasai Woerner, but besides that, yeah, he pretty much disappears.

This fic still rocks t3h socks.

I'm hoping the tagline from the beginning is a hint to Finch's involvement in coming chapters... :P

Aww...But Silver was actually growing on me. I mean comic relief! Who will hold that spot now? haha Still I guess now he will take what he learned from his moments with MIke and Amy to good use now seeing that you are setting the seeds for Valhalla Genesis. Very cool. I mean about the seeds of Valhalla Genesis stuff. Still I forgot about the leader of VG was also named Silver.

I guess Diabora wasn't very impressed with the Shield Type M. Sigh. Meh. I like it. haha I guess he didn't know what I had planned if we ever did countinue that RP. haha

Yes, I know this is incredibly late, and I apologize to everyone, rust especially. But now, as a late birthday present, I give you Chapter 19.5 ^^.

Chapter 19.5: Breach
Find AQUA… and set them back to the stone age.
-Neo Winterfield’s response to Jacob Tales’ question of his plan.
Maridia-0

With the assistance of FOES and Team Trainer, Hoenn soon had electricity back in Slateport and Sootopolis, which allowed Neo’s plans to start to go into effect. LOUD and the rest of Hoenn was fearful of Team Aqua. So their solution was to hit them first, and hard.

Three ships in Hoenn’s navy had thankfully been spared from the EMP that spread from the impact site just north of Slateport in Mauville, so they would be incredibly useful. However, they had managed to salvage an additional two ships, an aircraft carrier and a submarine. Only problem was, all the aircraft onboard the aircraft carrier had been toasted. People from Team Trainer and FOES were working to restore their electronics and make them useable again in the coming fights. The presence of these spurred on ideas of actually attacking AQUA. However, they decided that a sneak attack was first in line.

This would require a force of humans, or at least Meteorians who were more human-esque in appearance than others. Neo was aware of the fact that, as a Harpy Meteorian, he could not go on this mission, looking to far from a human to be useful. However, Jacob Tales, who was a half humans half rat humanoid known as a Nezumi, had the answer. Their experiments with the Shards of Oblivion and Magic had allowed them to figure out a way to switch the races between two Meteorians, which they discovered trying to come up with a Magic Cure. This news heartened Neo, and he opted to join this crew. Jacob had an idea of a Merman that would be willing to swap with Neo. While Jacob was busy with his thing, Neo decided to try a hand in finding AQUA.

He soon acquired a laptop with which he could hack any system he wanted, provided it had the proper setup and programs installed. While working on that, Jacob approached Neo with a merman, and after a few minutes, the trade was done, and Neo looked almost completely human, save for the clamshell necklace around his neck, and perhaps the long blue hair. Other than that, he looked no different to a tourist of some sort. After a change of clothes, Neo found he was unrecognizable. Perfect.

Emboldened, Neo set his laptop to work alongside a working radio. After tuning the radio to the frequency he had been contacted at, he managed to connect it to his laptop, and from there, it only took an hour’s worth of effort to determine with little doubt that AQUA was somewhere on the Sevii Islands. The plan was to find out who was supplying Aqua and keeping them alive, and take them out. Next, the force was to hack into the Aqua mainframe after finding it, and hitting their systems hard with a powerful virus, or something similar, which a small team would work on. Meanwhile, the rest of the team taken for the mission would remain as sleeper cells to continue to collect information about Aqua discreetly and feed it back to the members of LOUD. And with them all looking like humans, it would be a surprise operation that might make Aqua stumble enough for the plan to work.

Soon, Jacob and Neo had rounded up a force of a hundred Nekos, Humanids (Meteorians that look very similar to humans save for their oddly colored irises, fingernail-less hands, and their incredibly quick movements, as if teleporting short distances if the need arises), and Merpeople, all dressed in clothing to hide any particularly revealing parts about their non-human nature (i.e. Nekos wore hats and baggy clothing to hide their ears and tails, and gloves to hide their claws), and all with equipment needed to infiltrate the Sevii Islands and hurt Aqua on a technological level, and guns for defense and tactical approaches. The boarded three cruise ships, donated by Team Trainer and FOES, and were soon bound for the Sevii Islands. The idea for infiltration was to fool Aqua into thinking they were tourists from the Orange Islands coming to the Sevii Islands, since the Orange Islands were neutral in the whole affair, being without Meteorians. It was nearly foolproof, assuming Aqua wouldn’t check them all upon arrival. The three ships would all go to three separate islands of the Sevii Islands.

{Insert Song: The Landing from Final Fantasy VIII}

At nightfall, Neo and the force on the ship he rode on, the Hyacinth, arrived and docked on Kin Island. However, three guards immediately approached the gangplank before the passengers could disembark and began to speak. They said that they couldn’t dock there, and that civilians had been ordered to evacuate the Sevii Islands and relocate to the Orange Islands instead, due to an impact from the a piece of the Star of Oblivion. Neo suspected immediately that they were from AQUA, because they were obviously lying; nowhere else by Hoenn and Sinnoh had been affected at all by the Star of Oblivion, that was well known in LOUD. Neo began to protest, but a rash Meteorian shot one of the guards, Thinking quickly, Neo pulled out his Uzi from the top of his pants and kill the other two guards before they could do more than recoil in shock.

The operation began, with the force finding the need to lay low much more than before. Weapons were out, locked, and loaded; shooting anyone on the Sevii Islands not a Meteorian was justified now, because of the lack of civilians and innocents around. Firefights began breaking out, but the AQUA troops, not expecting the civilians to be packing, were gunned down quickly in their stunned moments. All too soon, Neo heard an explosion, and looked back to discover his ship had been ripped in half by an explosion, possibly from a torpedo; the Meteorians on Kin Island were trapped there. Neo figured they would do well to continue the mission. The Force split up into groups of three to five people, and they began covering all of Kin Island covertly.

Unfortunately for them, Raidon had noticed the attack, and was now on Kin Island personally, hacking away at Meteorians with his katanas and assortments of hidden blades; the madman was untouchable. Taking a radio off of a dead merman’s body, he heard Neo’s voice, and new immediately that these weren’t humans they were facing; they were Meteorians that looked almost human. He ordered the All Clowns to run a bombing raid on the island, as well as his SWAT Team to come onto the island to root out the aggressors. He then informed Neo via radio of the futility of his actions, as he was surrounded by every blasted force AQUA had to offer. Their radios compromised, Neo and the other two in his group agreed to turn off the radios; they’d be little use to them with one in the hands of the enemy. After skulking around in the bushes and trees under the cover of darkness, they finally approached a power station; if they had knocked it out, all the power of Kin Island would be gone. However, Neo speculated that AQUA still had another eight islands to work with, so knocking it out alone would be of little use. So, the group decided to work on the original plan: hack into the AQUA Sevii Islands system and send them all back to the Stone Age.

They infiltrated the power facility unnoticed, due to the fact that all civilians had been evacuated, leaving only a skeleton’s worth of personnel inside. With an idea of the layout, they found the control room with a little effort. Silencers on, the guards were taken out without alerting the rest of the building. With the room secured, Neo began hooking up his laptop into the computer of the building and jacked into the AQUA network mainframe. With one teammate, Robert, hooked up to the mainframe of the power center to have it set to blow at the click of a button, Neo began uploading his powerful virus.

Of course, AQUA would find out about this virus, but it was already at a 50% upload before properly detected. Tiantus Hale, resident computer genius of AQUA, began attacking the virus to set it back, and also began tracking the Subnet IP to properly locate the hackers. All too soon, AQUA would know of the little control room inside the Kin Island power station. Robert decided to unhook from the power station grid and began attacking Tiantus’ computer back, stopping him from delaying the virus, but they had extremely little time before they new they’d be discovered.

In fact, they had even less time than they thought, as did AQUA.

The Renegades had built up a mass of Arm Slaves and Knightmares, and had loaded an assault force onto three airships bound for the Sevii Islands with one thing in mind: a victorious battle. They did not know AQUA was there, but they knew someone was, and they wanted to start their campaign of domination there, where it was thought it would be easiest. Since AQUA was distracted with the invading Meteorians, Silver and his Renegades assault force approached the Islands unopposed. Once they had deployed from the planes and dropped to the Island below, they issued an ultimatum on an open radio channel: Surrender to the Red Comet Mobile Force, or face the consequences.

Neo and his team heard the threat, and knew it was time to boogie. So, Robert sent Tiantus one last, insanely complex algorithm to work past, then the team set the computers down to work on their own. They broke a window and quickly evacuated the building before they could be discovered. The virus upload was at 85% when they left the computers. Outside, they noticed the mech suits the Renegades were in, and stayed low to avoid any and all detection; they may not have been AQUA, but Neo still didn’t trust them.

Once safely hidden away from anyone else, Neo pulled out his radio and ordered all Meteorians to cease fire and evacuate any way they could. He received no responses, as he expected, and he and the other two quickly made their way to a nearby dock, where civilian boats floated in the water. They chose one and hotwired it, and started making their getaway from Kin Island as fast as possible. With only half a tank of gas, they could only make it to the Orange Islands, but Neo knew that would be enough; from there they could call in an evac.

Meanwhile, Tiantus used a backup account to attack the virus upload unhindered. The virus already uploaded, unfortunately, started to get to work, shutting down AQUA operations and deleting important files. Tiantus worked as furiously as he could but the virus was too fast for him to beat it before it had done at least some damage. Raidon and his own small force came upon the power facility and found the room the virus was being uploaded from. They took the laptops, and, after seeing the window they broke and escaped from, Raidon got on his Aerodactyl and chased after their footprints to the docks. Speculating correctly about their sea escape, he and his Aerodactyl began their pursuit over the sea.

Sooner than expected, Neo found he was being pursued. He and Robert opened fire on Raidon before releasing their Pokemon, a Dragonite and a Pidgeot, to attack the Aerodactyl. Raidon released his Kabutops into the water and dropped down on it before his Aerodactyl succumbed to the attacks and fell in combat. His Kabutops sped up until Raidon was close enough to jump onto the boat. Drawing his katanas, Raidon demanded to know the whereabouts of Neo Winterfield. The group did not answer, not quite knowing this man was the big head honcho of AQUA. Robert’s Dragonite came up behind Raidon to attack his back. However, viciously huge bullets from a sniper rifle ripped off its head before the attack could connect.

Silver had pursued them with his Char type on a custom water speeder it now stood on. His weapon pointed at the boat, he once again demanded they surrender to him or be killed. To emphasize his point, he stopped the boat’s getaway by launching a napalm missile and surrounding the motorboat in a ring of fire. Robert, aggrieved by the loss of his Dragonite, opened fire recklessly on the mech pursuing them as well. Knowing it was suicide, Neo and the female member of the Team, Joanna, immediately jumped into the water and turned into Merpeople, swimming away far faster than they had been going on the motorboat. Raidon tried getting his Swampert to pursue them, but they were far too fast. Cursing, he turned his attention to the mech, now that the fire had destroyed Robert and the boat.

He and Silver opened talks. Because the Renegades had AQUA prisoners, they expected to be holding all the cards of the negotiations for surrender. However, Raidon saw an opportunity that might benefit him much more than he had expected before the arrival of the Renegades.

While Neo and Joanna, and all other escaped Meteorians not killed in action waited on the Orange Islands for helicopter evacuation back to Hoenn, AQUA and the Renegades drew up the pact for an alliance.

Incredibly awesome chapter, Shen! But man, reading that reminds me how badly we were god-modded against back in that RP. XP

Great to see you writing again though. Hopefully... maybe we'll see an update to United in Arms soon?

Very good Shen. Got to like how everything play out.

Still Neo is right. There was a bit of GModing there. haha

Still you may want to check out the first chapter of my fanfic. It kind of concerns this RP/fanfic. Just a suggestion.

Still good. Can't wait for another x.5 chapter.

Chapter 20: Shattered Memories
“Restoration of memory can take a while after one has become a Combin. I’ve heard that it can take more than a year. I count myself as lucky that my memory loss was so short.”
-Shairii Woldrac, recounting her time as a Combin
Blackthorn City, Johto
Homeworld

“Yes, my name is Amy,” Amy signaled to the golden nametag on her chest, “You act like you know me… Did we go to high school together?” It was even worse than Mike had thought. Not only did she not remember him, but she awoke with false memories. Mike did find it odd that she didn’t have the wings or claws that Shairii said she would have when she ‘respawned.’

“Amy, I’m Mike Anone, don’t you remember?” Mike told her, looking her in the eye, attempting to convey his feelings to her. She looked back at him, confused at what the strange man was saying.

“You’re… Commander Mike Anone of the Homeworld military forces…” She said, confused, “I’ve never met you before though… Come to think of it, you’re not even in the news anymore. Why are you here when Diabora is still out there?”

“Because of you, Amy!” He told her. Amy looked flustered for a moment, but then disgusted once again, “I love you! Don’t you remember?”

“What?” Amy shouted in shock, “I’m flattered, but I think my boyfriend will have a problem with that.”

“BOYFRIEND?” Mike shouted out loud, as everyone in the store turned their heads towards Mike and Amy, “Who is he? I’ll f*cking gut him!”

“That would be me,” a voice said. Mike turned around and belted the man in the face, sending him flying into a shopping cart. He heard the distinctive crack of a broken nose, as Mike turned to look at whom he had punched. It was Frank Bueller. At least he had found two of the three Combins. He just had to make them regain their memories.

Amy screamed, as wiped the blood off of his mouth and nose with his wrist. He cracked his neck twice, and then got up, his hands balled-up into fists. Even though he didn’t have a memory, his body would still remember all of the Aqua training he had, as well as all of the combat experience he had in the Fifth Circle of Hell. Mike knew he wouldn’t be able to best him in fisticuffs.

“So, you want to f*ck with me, you little b*tch?” Frank threatened Mike, “I don’t give a sh*t if you’re Mike Anone or Dia-f*cking-Bora or whatever. I’m going to rip off your arms and beat you to death with them.”

This was bad, and Mike knew it. Besides embarrassing himself in a public area (and not doubting that the security camera footage would be on the Internet by tonight, if not already), he would also lose Amy until she regained her memories. He knew he could just kidnap them and wait it out, but he really didn’t want to do that.

“Come on!” Mike said, as he made the come-here motion with his hand. Bueller charged at him, screaming like a mad man. He came up and gave Mike a gut-punch. Mike brought up his knee to Bueller’s crotch and banged it hard. Bueller screamed in pain as he grabbed Mike’s neck and choked with one hand while punching his face with another. The first punch broke Mike’s nose, while the second cut his lip, and the third broke his jaw. Not only could Mike not breathe, but now he was bleeding like crazy.

“Want some more, you little p*ssy?” Frank continued to demean Mike.

Mike spit blood in Frank Bueller’s face and taunted, “Dooo yoor woorst, Bweller!” Bueller dropped Mike, in shock that he had known his name. He then froze, as his mind was overcome with hundreds of different memories in his life, afterlife, and second life. When he snapped back into place, he looked down at the bloodied mess that was Mike and gasped.

“What have I done?” He shouted in horror. Amy came over to him and said, “Its okay, honey, he attacked you.” It added insult to injury that, not only did he beat the crap out of Mike f*cking Anone, but his wife was also fawning over him, until he had remembered that they were ‘dating.’ She still needed to have her memories restored.

“I’m going to call an Ambulance,” he said, whipping out his cell phone. Amy grabbed hold of his arm, as Frank noticed that the Combin process had make Amy look noticeably younger than she actually was. He figured the same must have happened to him as well.

“Mike, if you’re still with me, I’ve called an ambulance,” Frank explained, “I’ve regained my memories. Sorry about… destroying you.”

“Ooh, tis feen…” Mike replied, obviously pained to speak, “Asss loong asss it hulped.”

Finch looked down at Reg Lando’s parting gift for him. It was a sword similar to rust’s known as Gesshokumaru. Since it was Zanpaku-to, he knew that it was forged in the demonic metal known as Nth Metal. He also knew that it possessed special powers, he just didn’t know what.

The sword was kept in a midnight-blue sheath and had a metal strip tied around its handle. Hanging off the leather strip was a small golden medallion with the Chinese symbol for “Eclipse” on it. The sword itself looked like a Katana, but when it was in its released form, it looked like his Dao blade.

The one oddity about this blade was that he knew Reg Lando had never been to Hell. The only way one could acquire a Zanpaku-to was to go to Hell and steal one. He had surmised that Reg had received it from his own version of Reg Lando, whom had received it from a different Reg Lando. According to Celebi, the sword was a “paradox” and it hurt him to even look at something so wrong.

“Finch,” his radio had buzzed. rust Makuta’s voice filled his ears, “Neo and I are back. Meet us in the Conference Room.” Finch grabbed his things and clipped his sword to his belt as he set out to the Conference Room. Once he had arrived, rust, Neo, Celebi, and Shairii were already there making plans.

“Where’s Silver?” Finch asked.

“We don’t know. Diabora really f*cked up his escape pod… He’s probably dead…” rust explained. There was a small moment of silence as everyone thought about Silver Etherlight’s contributions to the war.

“I’ll work on the Dai-Rai-Oh then,” Tiantus said, as he scurried into the room.

“Alright…” Neo began, focusing everyone’s attention on them, “We’ve discovered that Diabora’s next target his Hiigarus. He’s looking for some kind of shielding technology to replace what he’s lost already. I’ve sent a message to the Hiigaran Consul, Cyrano Kayzar, telling him he’s in danger. We have yet to get a response.”

“Anything out of Mike?” Shairii asked.

“Yeah. He got into a fist-fight at a store with Frank Bueller,” Neo replied, “Bueller’s regained his memories, though. Mike said he’ll be back within the week, while he works on recovering Amy’s memories. Frank had gone to look for Peter Jennings.”

“Well, at least Mike’s coming back,” Finch replied, “It seems as if we’re getting killed off one by one. First Reg, then Silver… Who knows who’s next?”

“No one’s going to die,” rust said, attempting to reassure Finch, “Neo and I have Legendary Spirits, Shairii’s a Combin, you have Inazuma and Izaterasu, and Mike has his own powers.”

“Still… What if Diabora gets something from Hiigarus before we can stop him? It will only be a matter of time before he comes to kill us then,” Finch replied.

“We’ll find a way,” rust told him, as Neo looked at the console. Apparently, there was a reply from Hiigarus. Neo pressed a few buttons, as a green Hiigaran in the robes of royalty appeared on the hologram projector.

“Greetings beings of the Homeworld and Ramdyne,” Kayzar said, “We have heard about your troubles with Diabora, and we offer you our condolences. However, Diabora is nothing compared to the Hiigaran military. If he even sets foot on this world, we’ll atomize him. As such, we won’t require your assistance in defeating this beast. However, if you would like to see your nemesis vanquished by our hand, you are more than welcome to come to Hiigarus.”

“This guy sounds like a jackass,” rust said, “I’m almost hoping that Diabora destroys the Hiigaran army, just to see the look on this guy’s face.”

“You heard him, though. We got an invitation to Hiigarus. Perhaps we should pay them a visit,” Neo suggested.
