Has anyone else heard about some BIG experiment being done by scientists? Apparently a black hole is a risk and could end the world.

Also if the experiment is successful then there could be a cure for cancer.

It has been in a lot of British newspapers, i'm not sure how it works but it's meant to have an experience of the billionth second or something of the beginning of the world and something about explaining more about global warming.

I'm not 100% sure on the exact details... maybe someone else could fill that in...

It is a small chance of a blackhole but i was just interested if anyone else has heard about it.

Hm. Never heard about it. But a black hole, sucks in anything within 400 miles of it. In space, that's like, the head of a needle.

I've heard this many times before. I'm very sure that the world will not end, at least not in our lifetime.
The scientists are trying something about particles. I'm no scientist myself, obviously, so I haven't a clue what they are seriously up to.

Already a thread about this, and it's even on this page. Made by yours truly, but to answer your question shortly nothing will end the world that comes out of this machine, since this machine replicates the rays that hit the Earth daily.

And actually it has nothing to do with a 'cure for cancer'. They are trying to find the Higgs particle.
