Default Poems...music for the ears.

I decided I wanted to start my own Poem thread. I'll try to post at least one a week, maybe more.

I never gave a name for this one...Perhaps Shattered Dreams?

Falling through,
Falling down,
Crying loudly,
Hear no sound.

Time and space,
intertwine,
but everyone else
seems just fine.

I hear the words,
But suffer the blows,
when someone is eager
to hurt and show

Shattered dreams,
broken heart,
When will I,
get a better part.

Destroyed soul,
push and shove,
All I needed,
was a little love.

Do you know,
what I feel?
No, you don't,
it doesn't seem real,

Shattered dreams...
They become splinters in life.
Then I have to weep,
And feel the knife.

Isn't... Isn't all music for the ears?

On topic: Good poem, and it would make a very good song.

This sentence summarizes my thoughts.

I do not know much about poetry, but I will try to review this thing later.

Very nice, I like it. It's one of the few I like enough to actually reply to =P

Anyways, good job. ^^

Thanks!

What some people fail to realize is that poems are music as well, so I thought I'd just put that in. Plus, I felt My Poems just seemed to typical.

Sorry for the delay. I loved writing this one, and I wanted it perfect.

Gums tale

I saw a chewed piece of gum,
And a thought came to me.
What if the gum could talk?
What was it's family?

It would say, "My dear aunt was
chewed by the Queen of France.
And through the lips, she did see
The kings purple underpants!"

"My Cousin twice removed,
(from the package, you know)
Was chewed by a rather dumb statue,
who said, 'Dum Dum, Go Go'"

"My father was chewed by
The Repulsive Beauragarde child.
He had a long, long, long, long life,
but it was constantly wild."

"My sister was chewed by
some Rachel Scott; who was nice.
It was tragic what happened to her
(my sister). She got stuck on ice."

I would marvel at the gum,
And ask, "What about you?"
The gum would simply say,
"A gumshoe."

I think what he's trying to say is that his poems are like music to the ears. It's a saying, xP

I liked both the poems, by the way; the last one made me chuckle.

I swear I've read a poem similar to that one you wrote about the gum. Don't get me wrong; I'm not accusing you of plagiarism, since it probably wasn't about gum. I remember it was about someone imagining what it would be like if some object talked about its family.

Oh, and your poem was pretty funny.

Thank you! Humouros poetry is fun to write.

BTW, For those of you who don't know who I'm referring to in the last three gum chewing stanzas, it was:
The Easter Island statue from Night at the Muesuem
Violet Buearagarde from Willy Wonka
And Rachel Joy Scott...I think everyone knows about her.
