Default DJ Max gets American release

You heard it, DJ Max Fever is coming to America on the PSP! It'll combine the first 2 games (Portable 1 and 2) and allow for 4 different modes of play and 5 difficulties (just to make it easier for the American audience, apparently). This is pentavision's first game in America, and this is a very good game to pick up. Very good. I'm still playing it. 8-button mode, trying to beat Memoirs and Mile...and failing. XD

Describe to me this, wonderful game.

I have never heard about it, but I am probably interested in it.

Easier to just send you a link to see it. This is one of the slightly harder songs in 4-button mode.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjXVK3ju-kw

Basically, it's just like Beatmania/Guitar Hero, except with button pressing. It gets much harder than this guy, though.

Like this:

(second hardest song in the second game)

That's quite Insane for my button mashing tastes. D: But I'm actually quite Interested In this game, either way(I'm currently making a list of what PSP games I should get when I buy that new blue PSP next week, so yeah, I've looking around everywhere for good titles and whatnot).

And five difficulty settings? I don't blame them for adding that. :s Also, what kind of music's In It? Is It like Guitar Hero where they take popular songs and put them In the game, or Is It all original music made just for the game? Just curious.

Here's one of the easier songs in the second game, back when I was a noob at this game:

You can change speed settings, and I heard difficulty settings are changed to make parts of it easier, or something like that.

The music from both Portable and Portable (games that Fever is based on) are all original, and ranges from all kinds of different genres.

I'll pick this up if I were to ever get a PSP. And Kenny, it's Stepmania/DDR/InTheGroove, not Beatmania. ._.

Allow me to be blunt, Ms. Kenny_C.002, but

When I'm not thinking about girls (Just their faces and personality mind you.)

I've added you to my list.

Also: Think big chain stores will get this, or will they be flippin' asstards and stock only the most popular game?

Big chains like Walmart? It has a probability of 1% in getting it. The game's too niche for it to be stocked in a major chain outside of gaming chains like EB and Gamestop.

I found Soul Nomad in a Wal-mart one time.

I'm not sure why I bought it from Wal-mart, though, I felt like a complete idiot.

Both Atlus and NIS are at least established companies, and will ocassionally have large retailers stock them. You have Pentavision, who's releasing its first game in the US with DJ Max. Chances are, big chains won't be stocking it precisely because it's not profitable to take a risk like that.
