Question ?Sharking Moves?

i know there are codes out there to shark moves onto pokemon and all that, but here's my situation:

i have a jynx at level 50 and i didn't let her learn mean look. is it too late or can i still shark the move onto her so i can perish trap? How does the sharking of moves work? Does it matter what level, moves, empty slots, whatever, if i want to shark?

Dumb questions ...

Sharking just replaces one of the moves on the pokemon with another until the code disappears. To make it permanent, deposit it into the PC after you shark the move on, THEN turn the code off so it doesn't make the next pokemon learn that move too, and withdraw =)

How do you perishtrap on RBY/GSC? The only thing like that is destiny bond back in those days.

I didn't know Perish song was an RBY/GSC move. That's all.

Maybe ya shouldn't post if you're not familiar. That's all.

The move is from GSC onward.

i could see that being effective actually. the protect/ leftovers allows for some HP recovery and there's no scary sleep-talking Heracrosses 2 ruin things.

pft, sleep talking heracross... It's too luck based to be a real counter (33% of using Megahorn, 85% of Megahorn actually hitting, as opposed to a 1-2HKO from Dream eating).

But yeah, it's more situational based. Though if you don't go sleep trapping, you're better off with Misdreavus (tho hypnomissy does make it a good sleeptrapper too)

Post Re: ?Sharking Moves?

ahh screw missy. i'm trying my luck with an ice team remember? i might give the dream eating a whirl. the problem is everybody seems to expect a kissing jynx. the first turn, whenever my jynx comes out, their first move is sleep talk if they have it.

Then outpredict. >_<

If Jynx and counter starts at the same time, jynx should run.
If Jynx is out first, counter would waste a turn switching in, where you ML, then LK

If you realize the opponent predicts LK and will ST, then song that turn, so you'd get the PTrap effect without even sleeping the opponent yet ._.

lol, yoda can actually fight ._.

I have what the chinese saying "Talking soldiers on paper"

All theory :) The key is just practice, I guess. Jynx has no business switchin in to a heracross, but it can win a lot of battles against cross if cross switches in. (And most ppl wouldn't switch cross in either, Psycho weak :x)

you kidding? bug/ fighting? shouldn't that mean the fighting weakness gets cancelled by the bug advantage? i would TOTALLY switch in a heracross and megahorn that lil chick do death.

the practise i can handle. i still learn from like every battle, but the theory and calculations are lost on me.
