Bug/Flying Which is best?
Thinking of four off the top of my head:
Beautifly, Vespiquen, Mothim, and..... Masquerain
Which would you choose for an on-team UU (under used)???
(I always wondered what other people thought about Bug/Flying types, people don't seem to like them all that much)

Re: Bug/Flying Which is best?
People really don't like Bug/Flying types specifically because they're 4x weak to Rock, meaning they lose half their health when they switch into battle and Stealth Rock is there.
But, from UU, I'd say Butterfree, mainly because it looks cool and it's really fun to use. Venomoth is another really cool bug, but that's Poison instead of Flying, so I don't know if you'll count it.

Re: Bug/Flying Which is best?
Vespiquen is really cool to use but you really need a Rapid Spinner with it because it's a more defensive bug and gets really hurt if it loses half its HP.
Butterfree is fun, but a little slow for UU. I've always used it in NU (It's NU where I played, dunno about here) because in NU it is actually fast enough to hurt something before it gets its wings ripped off and is left on the sidewalk.
I like Scyther but I think he's BL. Not sure, but he's awesome.
Ledian can be an alright baton passer..
Yanma can Endure/Reversal. lol Yanma.

I like Butterfree and Vespiquen.
Scyther's pretty cool, too, I guess.

Scyther's UU.
After one SD, you should be making people sad pandas. After one Agility, nothing outside of priority moves can touch you except the all-outspeeding Speed Deoxys. Always go Technician, Swarm isn't worth it.
Butterfree has epic Sleep Powder but it's slow. Vespiquen is a fine defensive choice, but pair it with Claydol IMO. Claydoll can SR right back and spin. :3 Did I mention that Vespiquen's signature moves are broken? :3

I can't believe no one mentioned Yanmega...it's without a doubt the best out of all of the bug/flying types. :o

I agree, but I just love Ledyba! He's my favorite Bug Type.

Well, I like Yanmega, too, but he/she's asking for UU flying bugs.
Also, I'd recommend Scyther as well. The Agility sweeper isn't necessarily powerful, but it dents a lot of UU threats pretty badly and is insanely fast in that tier. Besides, Scyther is probably the coolest Bug type in general with Heracross behind him, the way I see it.

Re: Bug/Flying Which is best?
Scyther is UU and, imo, its the best Bug/Flying in UU. Bug/Flying is the most overused, bad typing ever. >_>

I guess it's the curse of logic. Most bugs have wings, and thus they can fly...>_> As such, rocks crush their wings and their poor and somewhat frail exoskeletons.

I second that, it's a deadly OU sweeper if used correctly D:
But Scyther for UU.

Re: Bug/Flying Which is best?
Butterfree has it's uses too.
Focus Sash gives it some more oomph combined with Double Powder.
His mediocre Speed can be remedied by Tail Wind, complimenting U-Turn and his arsenal of support moves.
But I like Scyther too. Mainly because I caught an Admant one with 30 Attack IVs with minimal effort.

Re: Bug/Flying Which is best?
i also think ledian has quite a bit of potential. it can serve as a baton passer (agility) and for a bug, it has a base sp def of 110, only let down by base 55 hp. it is also very cute to look at :)
