This really doesn't deserve a thread. =/
But to answer the question, yes you should.
Magikarp and Gyarados are uber.

Re: Magikarp
Wait, do you mean giving your gyarodos to someone for a magicarp? If that's what you mean, HECK NO! If it's vice versa, HECK YEAH!

Definitely. Gyrados is a great member on any team.

Re: Magikarp
Two things though:
1. What should the nature be?
2. Electric on Gyrados =

Re: Magikarp
1. If you use physical Gyarados (as you should), go with Adamant.
2. Switch to something else, if electric comes up. If you know you can outspeed the oppponent, use Earthquake (which you should have).

Re: Magikarp
Gyrados can learn lots of attacks and is one of the strongest pokemon in the game and I think adamant nature is the best.

Re: Magikarp
I thin you should actually gt a magikarp because then you'd have two pokedex entries not just one.
Just be sure to get one at a high level to avoid being a laughing stalk.
If I were you, i'd get one with a quirky or serious nature.

Re: Magikarp
having a garyados is great because if you also have a slamnce you could breed them and you might get a baby bagon with hydro pump
the also make great partners in double battles

Re: Magikarp
Get a magikarp at the weakest lvl possible because the lower the lvl,the better stats the pokemon will have. Then use XP Share to train it.Once It evolves, teach it EQ,Dragon dance(at lvl 45/50),Aerial Ace,and Surf;or Dragon Dance,Taunt,Eq and aerial Ace.It will be a good physical sweeper.
