I've heard things about if you say snap the pokemon will snap out of confusion and if yous say wake up that the pokemon will wake up, is this true? is it cheating or a design by the makers?

I have never heard this and doubt it's true since it would be very cheap, but if it were true it would definately be useful. However, it's way too cheap (in my mind) to be true.

well i tried it and it did work the only problem is with confusion it cost you to take damage once then gets rid of it. sleeping only takes 2 turns though. then again it could just be coincidence.

I doubt it would work, although it could have some sort of effect if you were to say something loud or blow hard into the microphone to speed up the process of waking your Pokemon, although that is really just a guess, and likely untrue.

Llama: It was possible to awaken your Pokemon in XD by Calling it, surely this is no different?

Since I am unfamiliar with XD I really wouldn't know, but it still seems unlikely. And Blastoise, I'm fairly sure your's was coincidence, especially if you only tested it once.

Well it sounds like a pretty clever prank. I can imagine someone trying to do that in battle. :D
