This is probably THE most touchy topic I could have a thread on, but it needs to be known.

Racism really annoys me. Everybody is the same, just different colors. The part that is even worse is this:

Whenever you say something to someone of a different race than you, for the sake of this example, we will say the person in this is Hispanic.

Me: Sorry man, we're full up.
Him: What? Just 'cause I'm Mexican you don't want me there. I see how this has got to be.

See, when someone of another race than you hears something they don't like, that often comes out.

Discuss, please.

There's ignorant racism and there's scientific racism that parallels Darwinism.

There is less than %.05 difference between every race, but if you think that's small or insignificant then you're wrong considering there's less than %3 genetic difference between us and chimpanzees.

Based on history and a glance at society, the Europeans and Eastern Asians are the most accomplished while South Africa still remains the most undeveloped society and region on Earth.

There's different skull shapes to evident that there's different intellectual capacities between every race, the Mongoloids(Eastern Asians) have the biggest back skulls while Negroids have the smallest.

You can be a Racist and still be acceptive and loving to all kinds of people, I personally believe in one Race's superiority over another.

Never the less, no Race has qualities that fit every single person that belongs to them. There are white-skinned Negroids and hairy Asians.

IQ differences around the world also point to the superiority of Asians and inferiority of Negroids, but again, you can't apply one quality to every single person that belongs to a Race because there are many Africans with Gifted IQ levels.

I really hope that aliens exist and if they do, we will have interaction with them in a peaceful manner.

I believe it will unite humanity as a whole and help us realize the only differences between all of us is cultural.

First of all I'm one hundred percent sure that Africans don't appreciate being called 'Negroids' and Mongolians a don't like being called 'Mongoliods'. IMO Scientific racism is more idiotic than the normal one. You hate people so much, but don't know so you make up stuff to prove you're point. The .5% in the genes is most likely Physical differences, and the reason Icelanders born in Nigeria will still have white skin.

All what that said to me is "I don't like African people, and I'm gonna pretend I'm smart and passively insult them."

Everyone has had a racist thought, or made a racist action in their life. We may have regretted it afterwards, or questioned our own morals, but we've done it. We've all had a laugh at a racial joke, or grinned when Chris Rock makes comments on TV. Anyone who says they haven't is lying to you. With that in mind, I'm really hoping I don't offend anyone with this post. I don't think I will, but you never know. :\

I think it's simply because our minds are so wired to view someone who looks different as being different. Obviously no one is exactly the same, but when you boil it down, we're all human. When a white person sees someone who's black though, they say "that's a black person" as opposed to "that's a person". It's not exclusive to white people, either.

I'm not saying that's the rule, it's just the way a lot of our minds work. :|

Yes, racism rubs me the wrong way. I live in Texas, so I see a lot of ignorance, and racism isn't a topic I'm unfamiliar with. :/

EDIT: I also agree with Leman. That post was disgusting.

Of course, racism is bad.

However, you can not deny that our world is made up of different people. Among those people are ignorant people who fear that which is different from them. Thus, I think racism shall never be completely eliminated but hopefully the numbers of racist people will go down in the future.

So tell me, where oh where are the sources to back up these facts. Also, I have never heard of the word Negroids in my life, so you are probably making it up or my vocabulary is low. What really takes the cake in your post is the you can still be a racist and love all people too. That has got to be the most hypocritical, oxymoronic sttatement in my entire l life. A racist hates one group of people so hhow can they love all people.

You never heard of Negroids because the term is Negro, and that one been thrown out of the window long ago because it was deemed insulting, which it is because it is a term that after hundreds of years, has grown to imply slavery.

Mongoloids? How about Mongolians? Or East-Asians? Wait, aren't most of the East Asians of Chinese descent anyway? Japanese, Koreans?

In any case, accepting differences between races is completely different from racism. Racism is discrimination, acceptance well... Acceptance.

While I disagree with using Scientific research to back one's own ethnocentric beliefs, there is genetic difference beyond skin color.

Consider, of all "races", the two that have the largest genetic difference are Africans and Melanesians. Two races that have dark skin and similar hair texture are more different from each other than each is from Europeans. Unlike beauty, race IS more than skin deep. Still, these differences are rather negligible. Breeds of animals have far greater genetic difference than human races, biologically our difference are insignificant. There's more difference between individuals of a race than between races.

Yet I would not say the close similarity we share is THE reason not to be racist.

I don't believe social constructs should be based on race, but I view denying racial differences as a means to support a multicultural anti-racist stance as a way race activists strawman themselves. No, we aren't the same. It can easily be proved we are different, so is that reason enough to reject?

I don't think so. I believe in accepting people even if they are different. I don't accept because we're similar, that's far too easy. I accept because we ARE different. We should be proud of our differences, and not view differences as inherently, objectively inferior.

Yes, even differences deeper than just skin color.

and subsequent "Race and..." articles for further information.

And don't even consider saying Wikipedia isn't a reliable source: yes, there are some pseudointellectual quacks that edit articles, but if the article includes multiple citations, odds are its as accurate as any webpage.

I'm laughing so hard right now! Negroid is the scientific name for people of South African origin, it's not meant to be offensive and it's roots are connected to Latin(the language of science.)

Mongoloids is the scientific name for Asians because it is believed ethnic Asians originated in the Mongol mountains like Caucasians originated in the Caucasus mountains.
