Hmm. I'd say Treecko or Charmander. Or, if you can wait, Eevee.

It doesn't matter that much. You can always switch team leaders by the end of the game.

So pick whichever starter you like best. :P

Uhm, I went with Torchic on my first game, and it went well, even against Suicune and stuff like that, by their last evolution, all starters get really hard to level, so just go with whomever you feel like!

Try Skitty/Eevee, Pikachu.

Attract is really useful for the bosses, you can paralyze them aswell, and most of the bosses before you beat the game are flying type.

I always preferred Pikachu, because it was the easiest, but if you want a challenge, Mudkip or Squirtle I'd say.

Mudkip evolves into a water ground type later on and allows you to type trump electric types and gives you immunity to electric. Eevee is a horrible pick. It levels up slowly and has a crummy moveset in my opinion. I think it has low defense as well, but I'm not sure.

Eevee is fine. I was a natural one and it does GREAT. Just take a partner with long-distance moves, use Bite... Eevee does fine.

I suggest be whoever you are. Being someone else makes you feel a bit guilty. Pick the partner you like as well. People thought I was CRAZY when I chose Chikorita, as all I ever say is "Quilava", and I thought, half a month before it came out, "Beige. Flareon and Meganium. Beige... Beige." I was a natural Eevee, after all, and I couldn't stand how EVERY question would be a lie, even the gender. I also get a lot of Charmanders, but not as much as Eevee. But I pretty much answered the questions like the Pledge of Alligence and, as I thought, I was an Eevee first time.

Beh, I would use one of my favorates, but if you're all about the moves and types, maybe Pikachu or Mudkip...
