OMG, I had a type advantage over you! Wow!

You are basically pointing out that Garchomp and Salamence have a weakness. So what? Only two Pokemon don't have weaknesses, and they are Spiritomb and Sableye. If you are going to argue, I suggest you use better examples than being hit by a weakness.

Also, you "claim" that your Lanturn won't go down by a lone EQ from Garchomp? Yeah, that's seriously doubtful.

Lastly, Dragonite can easily be OHKO'd by Ice Beam, just like Garchomp and Salamence. And yet you favor him over the other two? Wow... that's sick.
i must agree with ND

Go! Salamence!
Go! PickleBoy (Ludicolo)
Slamence used a super strong attack (usually people use like Draco Meteor or Ariel Ace).
PickleBoy's health is just below half!
Pickleboy used Rain Dance!
It began to rain.
return salamence, go kingdra
... u know the rest

Go! Garchomp!
Go! Surge! (Lanturn)
Garchomp used earthqake
Surge used Confuse Ray!
Garchomp became confused!
OK, Surge! Come Back! Go! Mizutaiho (Blastoise)!
Garchomp is Confused!
Return garchomp, go jolteon
jolteon thunder
Mizutaiho hung on with Focus Sash!
Mizutaio used Ice Beam!
or if you want to keep it your way. lets say garchomp used one of those berrys that heals confusion.
he eqs
blastios comes out
focus sash keeps turtle from dying
another eq. bb turtle

... you know the rest...

dude how easy it is to make a biasid scenerio.

i carry garchomp in one of my teams. and he was truly usefull.
especially when you can predict a lightning hit.

garchomp > salamence

only time you need a slaamence is when you dont have a flying type.

I think a Garchomp is the better.

Garchomp@Focus Sash/Life Orb/Leftovers
Jolly
252 attack/252 speed/6 hp

Fire Fang/Stone Edge
Dragon Claw
Swords Dance
Eq

It has good speed and then the swords dance kicks in.Also if you have a life orb on it it will have amazing attack.

You only use Fire Fang with Expert Belt. Otherwise it's almost useless.

Also, Salamence is very powerful with DD, and Garchomp is hard to beat with a Choice Scarf and Outrage. Dragonite is also good with DD, but doesn't get as much Speed.

They're quite different. Salamence's useful for its fighting / bug resistance, and can attack both physically and special. Garchomp is more predictable but more threatening lategame too, and has other useful resistances. All in all, the choice depends on the rest of your team

I really like your answer, Lucavi, as it does indeed depend on your team. If you use T-Tar (it was mentioned earlier), then Garchomp is the better choice. And so on...

ludicolo can actually die from a single aerial ace from salamence...so that scenario is stupid
that's why theres the ability to switch out to your advantage...OU means they're good pokies...there's nothing wrong with garchomp and salamence except for their defense..so when you think you're gonna die...switch into a forretress/skarmory...etc.

PickleBoy's health is just below half!
Pickleboy used Rain Dance!
It began to rain.
Pickleboy used Icd Beam.
Salamence fainted
Opponent- "How could my cool ultra-super strong Salamence lose?"
Me- "Thinking that was your first mistake..."

Go! Garchomp!
Go! Surge! (Lanturn)
Garchomp used Swords Dance!
Garchomps ATK sharply rose!
Surge used Confuse Ray!
Garchomp became confused!
OK, Surge! Come Back! Go! Mizutaiho (Blastoise)!
Garchomp is Confused!
Garchomp hit itself because it's so stupid!
Garchomp is Confused!
Garchomp Used Earthquake!
Mizutaiho hung on with Focus Sash!
Mizutaio used Ice Beam!
Garchomp fainted!
Opponent- Arrgh! My mega-awsome Garchomp LOST?!?
Me- You lost because you're kinda dilusional...

Or let's say this...

Go! Garchomp!
Go! Syren (Milotic)
Garchomp used Earthquake!
Milotic used Ice Beam!
Garchomp fainted

Yeaahh... You get my point now? Now, maybe those things up there won't happen. Maybe the guy will get lucky get a critical hit every time. Or maybe he'll never hit himself during confusion. All I'm saying is, I could list tons of scenerios where it is easy to KO Gar-stupid and Salastupid. Oh, and by the way, a Garchomp's Earthquake alone isn't strong enough to take down my Lanturn.

IMO, Go with Dragonite. He's cooler than either of those two put together (well other than Giratina, who isn't?)

Um no smart player would even LEAVE their dragons in the open to ice attacks like that....

It really depends on what you need...Salemence shreds thing so badly with Draco Meteor but Garchomp is faster and has Sword Dance.
