I'm actually not sure if this is where this belongs (if it isn't, will a moderator please move it). Okay, I will be cosplaying soon, and I'd like to go as Ichigo in his soul reaper form. I don't want to just go out and buy a costume, so does anyone have a tip to make a good cosplay costume?

If you're going to go to some hardcore cosplay place, I think you should reconsider buying one. :x

Theres no real tips you can give, besides trying to wear the closest possible clothing. :/

Well, I actually know some people who can sow pretty well and they owe me favors, so I figure I can by the fabric, and they can sow it. As for how hardcore it is, I've never been there. It's A-kon. I'm going with a friend and they said I should cosplay.

Making costumes / clothes isn't as easy as just fabric + sowing.

... Unless that person is really pro.

It's not? Do you know any good stores that I could by Ichigo's outfit from?

I believe that most cosplayers in America or England get their costume goods either imported from Japan, or from an anime freak shop. Rarely do most anime stores hold a large variety, as it's always either Naruto or something else that's overrated.

I want a Darker Than Black costume. O_O I don't care if it's Kirsi-style, Mao-style, or even Huang-style (Prolly can get that assembled easily).

My question is how much does it cost to get something like that imported from Japan?

I'm guessing around $50-100, and it's going to be one heck of a search if you're going to be trying to find rare costume.

I forgot how much it was, but I can tell you that it's quite easy to get your hands on one if you have the location of an anime store.

Try Cosplay.com May not be the best place, however.

Actually that's not near as much as I was expecting. I was expecting some three, four hundred dollar costume. I may order it after all.

cosplay.com... is... x_X

I suggest you find a willing tailor/specialist that can make these for you with detail... or yeah order them straightly from Japan

didn't check thoroughly, but I think there are sites here... maybe... http://www.japanlinked.com/about_***...n/cosplay.html

I've seen one cosplay before. It was about one of my favorite games. Pretty cool done, only I think it goes a little overboard :\

Strangely, I see cosplay outfits at Japanese grocery stores. If you don't have those where you live, then I don't know. I saw a Naruto outfit and a Kakashi outfit, and they were around $70-100... Oh, and you can also get them off eBay.
