Well, I believe my mortal body will stay on earth and my spirit will pass on to the next life.

Heaven, Hell, or maybe something completely different. No one knows.

I believe when I die, my body stays. My spirit goes to not heaven, but a spirit world. Heaven doesn't come till the resurrection, where my body will be reunited with my spirit in a perfect form, immortal like my spirit but also with a glorified body with flesh and bone but no blood.

alot more involved then that. But I believe we go on after this to live for eternity. And that we had lived without a body before coming to earth, and that this is only a small part of something much bigger then we know or can even begin to comprehend.

I... die. Most likely at the hands of some dangerous animal, or Jared's girlfriend.

Inside joke.

Anyway, if I'm wrong I'm almost certain to go to hell/limbo because of my beliefs. Considering the amount of people the church dictates will go to hell, it will most likely be like a huge family reunion, except less painful.

Default Re: What Do You Think Happens When You Die?

Has anyone heard about a Phenomena (sp?) called "Astral Projection"? Ive done some research on the topic, and have read some forums and joined up in some to learn about it. This is basicly what it is:

Astral Projection is the sensation of your soul leaving your body when you sleep, and you going into a projection, into one of 7 planes. The higher the plains you get, the more evolved the world has become.

In our plane, the "Real-Time" plane, the world has evolved into the 4th demension, or time in other words. The world moves along in the 4th dimension, as everyone knows. The only thing though, we only use half of the demsion, we can only move forward in time, and not back in time. If it is possible to move forward, then it is possible to move backward, but we have not accomplished this yet.

Once you get to a certain plane, you can walk around just as if you were in your body. Another form of this, but it is not the same thing, is an OOBE, or an Out-Of-Body-Experience.

Now i told you that to help this topic out.

People who Astral Project have a great belief and claim to have proof of what happens after you die. Apparently, your soul gets released into the Astral Planes. Some times its into our plane, and sometimes its into the other 6.

This explains ghosts ^. Once your soul goes to astral, and you appear in the real time plane, your "Astral Mind" remembers the last thing that you where doing. If it was working on a farm, or knitting a blanket for someone, and you die shortly after, your mind will think its still doing that, and the Astral Mind will make your Astral Body repeat the action. When people see ghosts, this is what they see.

But not everyone goes to the Astral Plane of our time, like i stated before. But if you ever get enhanced in the power of Astral Projection, they say that you can go into our real-time plane, and see all of the spirits that have fallen out of the world and landed in our plane.

There are also people in the Astral Planes that go there just for torture. Once in the Astral Planes, there are spirits, (and if i didnt already mention, when you go into the Astral Planes you still see your body, as if your still using it, but its really not there), and these spirits can take shape of any thing. A really pretty girl from 2 doors down, or the hot guy at the beach. If you encounter anyone in the Astral Planes, unless you know them, it is best to stay away. If you dont bother them, they wont bother you.

So there is bad and good things in the Astral Planes.

But after a soul gets put to the Astral Planes, does it stay there forever? No. The Buddhist put this the best way in there religion. After a soul travels for a while, it then enters into another body, where the Astral Mind is temporarily erased, and only accessed when you enter the Planes again, or your new body and mind in the real world, die out. So reincarnation is the simple term, but its not as sudden as you think. People can go 1 second and then re-enter, or they could go for a thousand years and then re-enter.

Thats all i got to say, and i hope that helped out. Of course, i have not been able to perform an Astral Projection, but if you believe in it, it explains alot. Im not bashin anyones religion, just stating what ive learned.

But of course, in the way i believe, everything couldnt have been created from nothing, in the very begining, something or someone, had to create atleast a molecule or atom or something, and that grew into us.

But the above statment is my belief, not the Astral Projectionists belief.

That's interesting MH. I'll have to check that out when I have more time.

Anyways, I believe in reincarnation. After I die, my spirit goes to the Sommerland, where I'll spend some time going over what I learned in this lifetime. After I feel I've done that, if I feel I've lived enough times and gained enough knowledge, I'll return to the All and reside there for the rest of eternity. If I feel I can learn more, I'll be born into another form, and life once more in order to learn.

Personally, I believe that when you die, your body goes into a sort of "point of no return" astral projection. Free to float the universe at a single whim.

As for me...I'm Christian, so guess what I think ^^?!

Anyway, my belief is that when we die, our bodies lie on Earth most definitelly, and our souls would either go to Heaven our to Hell, depending on our actions and beliefs. If the soul goes to Heaven, we'd live forever without want for anything than what we'd have there for eternity (Heaven = Eternal Happiness!).

However, if it goes to Hell, I believe it'd be burned for three days until it no longer exists. Think about it: a lot of people believe in eternal suffering in Hell, but God loved the humans so much that he gave his one and only son to forgive their sins. If he loves us all that much, why'd he make anyone suffer for eternity? He'd not want us to suffer for long. Now, non-existence seems like one hell of a punishment, but eternal damnation and forever seperated from God would actually be a worse punishment in my opinion.

My body stays on earth, being decomposed and feeding the grass and worms. :O

My soul, it goes into a place where souls go after their physical bodies expire. They stay there until they forget all the memories of their former life, and are then brought into a new body.

yay reincarnation! X3

The Reincarnation is one cause of Deja vu. You remember stuff you forgot in your old life. That's what I think. ^>^

Honestly? With me being so influenced over Harry Potter I have no straight answer. Possibly you "move on", but there's no way for us to know, which makes death the next great adventure, (ha, got that from my siggy and Harry Potter). I think that's what J.K.R. trys to say, death is a part of life, no matter how you look at it. She said herself that her whole way of writing changed with her mother's death. And, death is the hardest thing ever.

As for the heaven and hell thing, I really don't think you go to hell because you aren't 100 % into the religion. My family is very religious but I've never really got into it like they do. And, (Here comes another HP quote) "It is our choices, far more than our ablilities, that determine what we truely are." I think you go to heaven because you ARE a good person, not based on religion.

EDIT: I just remembered something! Witch Craft is a sin based on the bible, I just remembered. And all my cousins can't read Harry Potter because of religion. And I honestly don't believe that. And again, heaven is for people who have good intentions, it's not all based on religion.

Christ is just and pure and Holy, and though absolutely nothing I’ve done in this life will make me worthy enough to spend eternity with God, forever before His throne crying “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND IS AND EVER SHALL BE,” He has given that gift freely to me, and I’ve accepted it openly. That is why I know exactly where I’ll be when I die, with 100% certainty. That is also why I have zero shame in proclaiming His gospel to the nations, through persecution, judgement, and even death, I will live for My God, who redeemed me from all of my past.

I <3 Harry Potter, but I don't think Harry Potter is a sin, one of my firneds can't read or watch it! I mean you're not performing witch craft, so, I always believed that Wizards and Witches had the same religions as us.

I believe in God, but I believe he'll let me go to Heaven or hell the way I like, with the exception of him telling me were I'm going, so yea I want to become a Wizard Pokemon Ninja Angel, and I will either party with jesus or ... Cha... in Cha...

Really? You think God Almighty, Lord of Heaven and Earth, the one who created the timeless voids and all you see, hear, touch, smell and taste, is going to listen to one little person justify himself by his actions?

I mean no direct accusations at you, personally, Sota, because I've seen this situation oh-so many times. People don't just go to Heaven or Hell depending on whichever they want, or even whether or not they were a "good" person. First one must even define good. Where's the line? If someone lies, are they as bad as someone who murders? What about someone who rapes, is he worse than someone who just looks at porn? What about someone who only steals candy, is he better off than someone who steals millions from the government?

God is the Holiest of Holies, and the very thought of sin makes Him cringe. He hates sin so much, that He absolutely cannot let someone who is sinful by nature enter in to worship and glorify Him. In His very presence you would be consumed by His Holyness, and you would literally perish. Heaven is not poofy clouds that we sit on, playing a harp for all eternity. Heaven is the very throne-room of God.

I know that someone would obviously counter this, saying "well then, how can anyone get to Heaven? Everyone has sinned in one way, shape or form."

My response would be, "Yes, very good George [assuming his name is George], you've discovered a flaw, which God knew about before He even created us. However, He, in His vast Holyness, believe it or not, came up with a cure for that sinful nature. His name is Jesus Christ, and that is the very reason that He came as God incarnate to die on the cross for your sins and mine alike, that by His death, He conquered the grave and rose again. This free sacrifice He provided us, only needs to be accepted as a gift from God, just like you, George, would give a Christmas present to your mother on Christmas. Without accepting it, however, you will perish, like billions of others have throughout all generations. All you simply have to do is accept it by faith."
