actually i think that MD was one of the most unsuccesful games they have had. i agree that another region would not be successful and they need to try new plot lines and game styles but MD was a failure profit wise.

I'll probably grow out of it around 2020 and will go on later than that. Like people, everything dies just to a point where it is easily forgotten. Lego, Pokemon, Naruto, and a couple other things will die eventually.

Nintendo are making serious amounts of cash off the Pokémon series. They aren't gonna let it die unless there is a major fall profit-wise.

This is true, in fact it is the second-greatest franchise, so it won't go down easy. And sonic'll have to go down first.

I dont think pokemon will ever die, unless they make a 227th gen pokemon, then its getting a bit out of hand

I think pokemon is not gonna die at all i just might be that they'll all leave all 493
in the past they might add a new generation but the 493 will remain acient
like making a new console EXE: gamecube then wii(revolution) its like wii replaced gamecube (well it did) even in pokemon they might replace all 493 and start again
i think i would be gr8.......

It will be a ling time till it dies but when it does im keeping all my pokemon stuff and i'll make a grave outside my garden saying r.i.p pokemon the best craze ever

to be honost, I live in belgium and I can't find much merchandice here anymore. Just the games and the tradecards, now eventually some 'soft rubber' figures but they look horrible.

so yeah it will eventually fade out for something bigger, whatever that will be ? only the future knows.

As long as we still love the Pokemon franchise, how could it die? Mario's been runnung for probably over 30 years now, and it's not even CLOSE to dieying. Pokemon is right up there with Mario, almost, so trust me, Pokemon probably won't be dead until we're old enough to not care what dies because we'll be close to dead too...
