Nintendo Trademarks: Nintendo V-Pocket and PCGP!

Nintendo have registered the trademarks for two items called "Nintendo V-Pocket" and "PCGP," both include images. Let the speculation begin.

Nintendo V-Pocket - PDA?
There's plenty of speculation, but no official word. What's the speculation for Nintendo V-Pocket? The word is that it might be a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). Some have gone further to say that it may be a PDA feature for the Nintendo DS. Of course, none of this is confirmed officially, as Nintendo does not comment on speculation.

PCGP - Pokemon related title possibly?
As for the PCGP, this may concern Pokemon. Nintendo and Game Freak registered the trademark for PCGP. Since Game Freak is the developer of the Pokemon games, the speculation here is that this may turn out to be a Pokemon title. The beginning "P" may stand for Pokemon.

Since so many people are taking a guess at it. I'll make my guess. The best guess I can come up with for the PCGP is that it stands for: Pokemon Championship Grand Prix. Why not? Mario Kart has been a popular title, a Pokemon type game based on the same thing would be fun.

Again, this is pure speculation as Nintendo has not announced their intentions with these trademarks.

According to a story posted on GameCentric, Nintendo recently licensed software from PalmSource, though no mention was made as to what specific applications have been licensed, or why. But it seems obvious Nintendo is attempting adapt PalmOS's core organizer functionality to the DS portable gaming console.

Pfft, thats nice but PDAs are only for people with jobs, and LIFES. <_< It's probably going to cost a fortune, but it's a good idea.

I'm guessing that it will be a lamed PDA for students. One more reason for kids to carry around nifty stuff and instill greed and envy in their peers (or get the crap beat out of them )

On the palm board at Brighthand.net I'd say 50% of the people are students, and quite a few of them are in elementary school.I guess if you have a yuppie mom who schedules play dates, you need one.

I honestly don't think that it's entirely a bad idea, but I got my sons laptops instead... which instead of "playdates" lead to sessions of them busting security on people's dialup and BB sites (this was 20+ years ago...)

Anyways, there have been attemps at PDA type software for GB and GBC. I forget the name of the GB one (I've got it at home), but there was this one called the SharkMX which was a mail system, contacts, and scheduler. I have one of those here in my desk. You could actually up and download email with the software (simple pop and smtp clients). I had to hack the cart to change the phone number from the dead server IGN used to run.

The one on the GB couldn't remember the current date (it didn't have a clock), so you had to scroll to the current date. UGH. The MX was much better, since it did have a clock! I actually used to take it to meetings with me (on the lime GBA) to irritate my boss.

If they put out decent software, I'll use my ds in meetings just to have the fun of watching them make faces. Actually, I end up taking my laptop to most meetings...
