Direct Linking
I went to look for a place with Pokemon sprites, and founds this:
http://www.freewebs.com/eevee_lady/index.htm This site has been stealing all your sprites, and direct linking. I don't know if you gave permission to her for doing that, sorry if you did.

I think those spirits, yes the ones on this site, were originally made by the Pokemon Company, then they were put on the site, after Ryan uploaded them from his site.

I agree this is wrong, Ryan or a moderator should be contacted immediately. I mean, I don't know much about direct linking but surely with them having well over two-thousand links it must be stealing a crap load of bandwidth. Is it possible that's why Pe2k has been down so much recently?

P.S.: I must correct myself, after fully looking over the site, there must be well over five-thousand direct links.

That's not why PE2K's down. A lot of people direct link to the sprites, and that one site doing it wouldn't cause this much downtime. As has been stated many times before, the site going down is due to the DP stampede, because having to load the forum for so many people makes it go slower.
It's not okay to direct link due to the bandwidth problem, but this is one site in a million that do it to PE2K's sprites. It's still up to Ryan as to what should be done about it, though.

The forum and the real pe2k run on different server's I believe. And those sprites have always been there, and pe2k has never been down like this before. :/ Stop blaming every possible thing for you not being able to post.

Well bandwidth stealing is wrong, yes. I'm sure Ryan will get to it if it gets bad on the main website. I don't remember if the forums are on the same server or not, either. :-/
