On Emerald, I have a dilemna on whether to use the Master Ball on Latios or Regice. I'm unsure about whether the stats/nature of a Lati@s are set before you meet it, or when you meet it. If it's when you meet it, I'm going to Master Ball Regice to get nature/IVs instead. Anyone got answers?

Use it on Latios, because ts really hard to track him down. Regice isn't hard to catch.

My question is, though, are the stats/nature of a Lati@s set upon meeting them in battle? Or are they set before you encounter it?

I would just the clone the Master Ball.

They're set once you encounter them the first time.

So if you encounter Latios/as and then they flee and then you start tracking them and find them again, the stats will be the same as the first time you encountered them.

i wouls say what ver one you find first try not to use the master all so if you catch it with other balls you still have the master ball left for the other one

I say you get another Masterball.

I currently have a total of 20 Masterballs, given to me by constant trading.
