[Ultima Boss]

Due to the vast amount of threads requesting team rates solely for the purpose for defeating the Elite Four, I thought that I would take it upon myself to make a thread for that sole purpose. Not only will this help clean up the mess in the Strategies/Movesets board and the current Strategies sub-board, under the Diamond and Pearl board, but this will also bring about a good opportunity to ask specific questions without having a guilty conscience of not knowing whether or not you get scolded for making a simple mistake.

With that being said, knock yourselves out, and don't ruin the fun for everyone else.

I could use some help defeating the Elite 4. My *current* team is:

lvl 41 Empoleon
Im training a lvl 26 Grotle right now.
Im also trying to catch Burmy, Mespirit, and Combee(Female).

For the record, its not all that hard to beat the Elite Four if you know your stuff. I'd suggest getting 20 Max Potions, 20 Revives, and 10 Full Heals for the Elite Four. You are practically immortal now. You should bring at least one PP Restoring item (I brought Max Elixir, found by using the Itemfinder behind the Valley Windworks).

Now, this was my team. They weren't EV Trained or IV bred.

Anyways, you don't have to do serious training. Lucian is the hardest of the Elite 4 (Including the champ) because his Bronzong is a *****.

Anyways, Staraptor took out the bugs, Empolean took out the fires and grounds, Mesprit with Shadow Ball took out the Psychics, and Dialga destroyed the champion with Dragon Pulses and two Roars of Time to finish off Milotic.

Personally, I think the Elite 4 was way weaker then they used to be, except for Lucaian's Bronzong. The first time I beat him this was my team

Porygon-Z and Froslass took out Aaron Bugs, Torterra wiped the floor with Bertha, Torterra and Staraptor beat the hell out of Flint, Staraptor mostly beat up Infernape. Luxray and Garchomp beat up Lucain. I used all of my Pokemon to beat up Cynthia. Torterra Vs Spiritomb, Froslass Vs Garchomp, Garchomp Vs Lucario, Staraptor Vs Roserade, Porygon-Z Vs Gastrodon, and Luxray Vs Milotic=Cynthia being beat, badly.

Now now, Read this info to knock out the elite 4 without a sweat:

Aaron (elite1): type: bug
pokemon: dustox, beautifly, vespiqueen, heracross, drapion
recommended types: fire or flying
other: if you can get your hands on a charzard, it works perfectly
toughest: drapion: weak to ground type moves

Bertha (elite2): type: ground
pokemon: quagsire, sudowoodo, golem, whiscash, hippowdon
recommended types: grass or water
other: take out torterra and easily wipe out Bertha
toughest: hippowdon: when hippowdon comes out so does a sandstorm

Flint (elite3): type: fire
pokemon: rapidash, steelix, drifblim, lopunny, inferape
recommended types: water or ground
other: in the past i've even used a fire type to fight and its fairly effective
toughest: ???
(bonus)info: R,I, and S are weak to ground while drifblim is weak to ghost or dark
and lopunny is weak to fighting.

Lucian (elite4): type: psychic
pokemon: mr mime, girafafig, medicham, alakazam, bronzong
recommended types: ghost or dark
other:they are all weak to ghost except bronzong and girafafig, B weak is
weak to fire and G is weak to dark, bite will kill him usually.
toughest: bronzong

Cynthia (elitechamp):type: varied
recommended types: ???
pokemon: spiritomb, roserade, gastrodon, lucario, milotic, garchomp
other: she has all different type of pokemon
toughest: varies to your team
info: here we go: Spiritomb has no weakness. Any good,strong atk will do against him. Roserade is, obviously, weak to fire, but also weak to ice, flying, and psychic. Gastrodon is weak to grass and only grass. Lucario is weak to fire, fighting, and ground. Milotic is weak to grass and electric. And last, but not least, Garchomp is weak to ice and dragon types.

I beat it with 5 Pokemon. I only had that many, because I was training my Rampardos by dying in mid-Elite Four runs while only beating some of them... Luckily, I actually won. I had an Infernape level 54, and Roserade, Golduck, Staraptor, and Luxray were all 49 or so.

I took out all of Aaron's bugs with Infernape and Staraptor. (mostly Infernape) At Drapion I had to Calm Mind once with Infernape, though. With Bertha, I used Growth once on Roserade and Giga Drain'd to take out 4 of them, and used Infernape to Close Combat the Sudowoodo. On Flint, who's not really a Fire Type user, I used Golduck to take out Rapidash (it wasn't fast enough to use Solar Beam.) Same thing with Infernape... With Driblim, I used Luxray, and I used Infernape to Close Combat both Steelix and Lopunny. Lucian was pretty easy. Either I used Calm Mind 6 times on Infernape and swept the whole team, or used Golduck and Amnesia'd 3 times, used an X-Special or two, and swept the whole team.

Now for the Champion... I don't remember the order, but I beat the Spiritomb by Calm Minding a few times and using Flamethrower. Against the Lucario, I used Calm Mind + Flamethrower with my Infernape. Staraptor beat the Roserade. Milotic was either beaten by my Roserade or my Luxray. Roserade murdered Gastrodon with one Giga Drain... The Garchomp was really hard since it was getting lucky with its many Critical Hit Giga Impacts. At this point, there were only 4 Pokemon alive: Infernape, Staraptor, Luxray, and Golduck. I switched out to Staraptor, and Intimidate kicked in, while Garchomp killed it. Then I switched to Infernape, and used a Revive on Staraptor. I switch to Luxray for more intimidate, and back to Staraptor. This repeated until either one of them died or Garchomp's Attack was completely lowered. I finally switched to Golduck and used Blizzard to kill it.

That's it.

Yes. Especially since I don't have Hyper Beam by my side.

My friend had beating on his first try with empoleon, diagla ect but he said it was hard at the champion's milotic
