Nintendo to Spend Millions to Advertise Pokemon Releases!
-08/25/04-

Nintendo plans to spend $1 million for advertising the upcoming Pokemon TCG set, EX FireRed and LeafGreen, which will be released on August 30th, 2004. This includes television, print, and public relations marketing support. Also, Nintendo will dedicate $5 million for advertising for the upcoming video games, Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen, which will be released on September 7th, 2004.

This shows that Nintendo is still dedicated to keeping Pokemon successful. Despite the fact that Pokemon has been around quite some time now, Pokemon is still doing very well in term of sales of video games and TCG.

Well, I'm glad they're doing that. Honestly, trying to find Pokemon in a toy store nowadays is very hard, while only a few years ago it used to be everywhere.

I'm glad Nintendo still puts concentration on Pokemon. It would be a shame to have come so far only to lose it all. Pokemon is definitely something worth keeping for a long, long time.

I agree. We wouldn't want Pokemon to end. Games like this keep you full of energy. >.>

It's really news worthy that they're putting a good effort into something that has been around so long. You would think they would want to invest in something that will be the "next craze," but it's interesting that they would still put that much effort into a "past craze," but it's still going strong for Pokemon of course.

is the release date tommorrow or Sep 9th? Just want to make sure

The official date is September 7th, however, I am told that many stores may not have until the 8th, 9th, or even later. So I would check with your local store and see if and when they'll have it. But the official date is the 7th.
