I know there were many threads, 3 tops, like this but who is Ash's dad? There was a rumor that it's Giovanni, or he died. But what happened to him, and more importantly, who is he?

I've heard some rumors that it's that Silver guy from Pokemon Chronicles. (The one Richie ran into)

Lol, that would make Ash Gary's uncle seeing Gary is Oak's grandson.

It's never been revealed and it probably never will be. There's not enough evidence to prove that any character is Ash's dad, so all you can really do is speculate.

I think, it's Brock.

Not really.Or Mr.Mime!, seriously that's why his mom likes him so much. But I really think it's Giovanni. Why do you think the rockets just happen to run in to him all the time! And why else wont't his mom tell him who he is?

Maybe Ash's dad is dead and thats why she got Mr. Mime.

Since some people think/know that Giovanni is silver's dad(the rival from GSC, Look it up on serebii in the manga section), I'm thinking he died...

It cant be professor oak........ as you see in the 4th movie. Ash meets young oak from about 40 years back. Plus hes too old to be in love with ashs mother.

I've never heard the rumours about Giovanni O_O btw i think he left home to go after pokemon when ash was little , maybe he will meet him
