Is Ash ageing? -

Hey

I just wondered; Is Ash at all ageing? - I mean he must be 15 or something by now. But is he? - I mean his heigh has not change, as far i can see, but his face has change, he looks older. Also his way to behave; He is not that stupid anymore, and dosen't make that much stupid jokes like before. But does anyone have evidance of that, i mean like its meantion in the shows, or something - =?

No hes not, I believe in the creators eyes he hopes that pokemon is never aging. ash would be about 14 or 15 bye now. lets see, count how many days are spent in every episode, then add traveling time, side tracks, rest, ect and then you got a basic idea how old he is.

Actually, somone asked this very question at pokemon.com. They said he has'nt been ageing that much, so he's only about 11.

Don't you have to be like 12 or 13 to even be a pokemon trainer in the anime? Thats how it started, I think.

-_- you cant really believe that right? Hes been in 4 leages 5 if you include battle frontier, hes been side tracking for events (ex jirachi movie and lucario movie) hehe I shouldnt repeat myself

Don't you have to be like 12 or 13 to even be a pokemon trainer in the anime? Thats how it started, I think.

10 is the age required to be a trainer I believe.

One thing that also could give a clue to ageing is that, he is getting more tan for every season. - And also his new voice; Well i know its a new actor, but still, i think they meant to let the voice get totally gay. Why? - Becuase he is going into puberty -

I don't really see any "growing up" features. In Pokemon 3, the Lord of the Unown tower's Piakchu mini-movie, Ash, Brock, and Misty were making a party, parcially because that was the day Pikachu and Ash met. My guess of his age would be... Well, when the Manaphy movie comes out, I'd guess about 13. And you wondered how I got to that conclusion...

I think they're trying to give the idea he is. Like with the new voice actors and how his voice was deeper then not so deep. Who really knows what they are doing though.

If they are doing voice changing, how come Jessie and James's voice change? They have passed puberty.

I knew I should have elaborated more then I did. And how do you know how old they are since nobody's age is really clear. You can't even try guessing by height and all that.

He is, but only very slowly. There has only been proof of one year passing, and that was midway through Johto. Apart from that, there hasn't been much mentioned about age. I really don't think he is anywhere near 14 though. He's at least 11, maybe 12.
As for the new voice actors, I haven't heard them, but I doubt they'd modify his voice to show he's going through puberty or anything. I'd say his voice changed a bit because they were still messing around with the new voice actors for a while to see what sounded best. If Veronica Taylor was still his VA I doubt they'd have told her to change Ash's voice at all to show he's getting older.

Think about it, it must be a pretty messed up world where they let 10 year olds travel by themselves, aren't their parents worried about paedophiles?

And they must be pretty stupid because they drop out of school at 10.
