It never cease to amaze and amuse me how some Americans seriously believe that they can (both in terms of duty and feasibility) control the internet. First the CAN-SPAM Act of 03, and now this...neither of which is at all enforceable.

"The internet is not a truck." -Sen. Ted Stevens, Chairman of the Senate Commerce Comm. (R-Alaska)

^seems to sum up politicans understanding of what exactly the internet is. It's not a bird. And it isn't a plane either.

DU: Welcome to the wonderful world of the Bush Administration - line up for the Two Minute Hate to your right.

Ha ha! What a stupid law!

Please, they have enough trouble trying to catch people who download music. Second, this is so unenforceable it's hilarious. I have to disclose my identity when I annoy someone on the Internet? Who the hell in their right mind would do that? And even better, who is going to go around policing the Internet to catch this kind of thing?

Lmao...

Playing World of Warcraft, I gank and annoy someone on the Horde side, and then suddenly some loser from the Bush administration comes along as some stupid paladin telling me I have to disclose my identity to the person I just ganked...

Love it, Bush is a much better comedian at making fun of himself than a politician.

One of the times I'm glad ta be a S'poean.

Seriously, you get fined just because you annoy a person? I mean, what kinda rule is that? It hardly makes sense.

I agree with Chief: Bush makes a better comedian here. ><;

"FREEZE! You're under arrest for annoying this dude by saying 'poop'! Your sentence is two years in prison!"

I think my net-newbie friend has to go to jail now. o_o

Being sentenced to have done something bad, such as damaging someone elses property, for, say 2-3 years is a lot worse than annoying people on the internet, though this rule is helpful, and it stops people annoying other people on the internet. So this rule has good and bad points to it!

The key lies in your computer hardware, my friend. The key to that power lies solely there.

The end is near. Well, we already knew that when Bush went into office, but this just pulled the end closer.

By the way, Dratnin Lover, this won't stop people from annoying folks on the internet. Only scared, new internet users will stop. Chances are, new people won't wanna do it in the first place.

I'm changin' my IP address to 13.3.7, lol. Now I'll only be tracked as the 'Leet Annoyer'

Yeah, me too.
But you know, Bush is in a different time zone, you know.
He still thinks the communist will take over the US, so he's beating them to the punch.

If it was a year ago, I doubt I would have noticed it.
Sorry, though. Perhaps this should be locked.

haha, if this is from a year ago, then it just adds to how stupid this law is, and how ridicolous is to enforce it
