Default Fatal Dreams

Unless you can take some gore and blood (I often am very detailed) you should be warned before reading this. It's not so bad yet, but it'll get worse...trust me. xD

Chapter One: A New Beginning...For Now

A strong gale blew through the air as the moon began to lower into the lightening sky. A sense of victory also came with this gale, it going strong just as the gust. At last, evil seemed to be destroyed as a fairly young teenage boy held a beautiful girl close to him. He looked intently into her sparkling lavender eyes and grabbed her closer. Neither did either of them think of the events that had all occurred this past night, for now, a new day was brewing up; one, each of them knew, that would not be enshrouded with evil, darkness, and pain.

The girl, although she had severe wounds all over her body, and her kimono was ripped, tattered, and torn, she still smiled back at the boy. She returned his embrace with such love that even neither of them could feel the cold, heartless wind, but instead they felt a surge of loving warmth.

Their hair both blew every which way in the wind, same with their clothes, but neither cared. Now, it was all over. Now, it was a new beginning. The happiness and tenderness of the moment was soon interrupted, however. The boy's loving expressions soon turned to ones of hatred and anger as he turned around and saw the figure behind him, crawling there, covered in blood and wounds.

The figure, a woman, pulled a knife out of her chest, gushing even more blood, then grinned evilly.

"Aw, how sweet is this," she cackled in a raspy, weak voice that could hardly be heard. Her normally vibrant sapphire hair was now stained crimson with black fluids and was limp and greasy from all the pain she'd just endured. As if her skin wasn't incredibly pale enough, it was now even paler and blemished. Blood leaked from everywhere. The only things that weren't unusually red were her cherry red lips, her ruby red eyes, and the large R printed on her shirt. Even though it was obvious she had been stabbed several times, she was still breathing and moving, but crawling in a withering way on the ground.

The boy's eyes widened with confusion. "Why won't you die?!" he shouted, pulling out a gun. He stood in front of the girl, trying to protect her, but it was obvious that she was the type that could more than easily take care of herself; she was the type that was much stronger than she looked. Although they were definitely different in most every way thinkable, the woman on the ground, dying, seemed to have some sort of lineage to this girl. But still, once you looked into both of their eyes, you could see a definite difference: the woman's eyes were full of evil conceptions, malice and hatred; the girl's eyes showed love, forgiveness, and care.

As the boy pulled the trigger back on the gun, the woman cringed. Somehow, she knew she was finally getting what was coming to her. After all these years of her murdering, theiving, and her dictation, she was at last getting paid back. A loud boom echoed through the air as the boy fired the gun. The woman gasped for breath as the bullet sank into her chest, causing even more blood to spatter. The boy and the girl showed no pity for her and just stood there, staring, mercilessly. The girl looked as if she had finally met her goal in life: to kill this evil woman. At last, she could rejoice.

After about a minute or so, the woman finally fell back onto the ground, her long hair flowing behind her. As the life drained from her piercing eyes and her chest ceased moving, the boy at the girl looked at each other triumphantly and hugged. Suddenly, a dragon-shaped, red and black cloud of smoke surrounded the woman, leaving her invisible for a moment. When the cloud dissipated, however, the woman was nowhere to be found. All that remained was a fragment of a ruby; the puddles of blood had vanished and the ground seemed cold and undisturbed as usual.

After the boy and girl had gathered up everything and had taken care of any other unfinished business, they flew off on an iridescent, blue, glimmering bird Pokemon, never to return to this wretched, horrible mountain cliff.

~*^>^<^*~

Several years passed, and the couple married, started a family, and taught their children all they knew about Pokemon. The three children, two twin girls and one younger boy, all grew up loving Pokemon, and each desired to one day achieve their own goals:

The first twin, Nikki, dreamed of one day rising above her father, he being one of the greatest and most powerful Pokemon trainers who ever lived.

The second twin, Marti, wished to become an illustrious member of the Elite Four.

The third child, Ryan, had his sights set on becoming a strong Gym Leader.

~*^>^<^*~

Each child attempted to follow their dreams by becoming Pokemon trainers, and just after about a year after each of them had set out on their quests, they had all of their Hoenn league badges. For a while, it seemed that each of their dreams would come true, now that they had reached this point as Pokemon trainers. It seemed that now all was peaceful, and nothing could stop them...Until now.

~*^>^<^*~

Hope you like it so far! I know it's short, but it's only, like, a prologue so far. I've made a sprite of the woman (whose name will not yet be revealed) so enjoy. Please comment!

Default Fatal Dreams: Chapter Two

Here's Chapter Two! Oh yeah! xD

~*^>^<^*~

Chapter Two: Dead Peace

The pink, orange, and purple shaded sunset began to fade when a full moon began to rise in to the sky. No stars twinkled in the sky except for one solitary one that shone dimly even so. Dark clouds enshrouded the moon and all seemed dark as a gentle breeze danced through the cold, dry air. The unwelcoming dark sky rose above all of the world that night, even though it was meant to be daytime in some parts. Lifelessness enveloped every country; deadly silence was all one could hope to hear.

As everyone crawled into their beds, one person was still awake. She was looking down at the world from her outdoor balcony that towered above the whole city of Saffron. She just sat there silently, on the railing, her ruby eyes gleaming in the dim moonlight. They were unforgiving, cruel- -and would pierce through your heart if you looked deeply enough into them. Her black kimono hung down off the side of the railing as she remained there, motionless, thinking intently as she watched the tall grass roll in the wind. She looked up for a second when she saw something flicker, but soon discovered that it was only city neon-lights in the distance.

Stupid casinos, she thought angrily, resuming her looking down at the world below from her high mansion balcony. She was once again interrupted when a cat-like Pokemon with a jewel on its forehead nudged her. "Neko...What are you doing here?"

The Persian rubbed up against her lovingly, purring, then looked up at her and mewed. The woman smiled back at her Pokemon and stroked her fur in return, saying,

"I take it that you are hungry?"

The Pokemon nodded its head back and forth from side to side.

"No?"

The Pokemon made its way into her lap and yawned, stretching itself, then nodded, "No," again.

She smiled. "You were worried about me?"

Neko finally nodded a "Yes," then fell asleep on its owner's lap, snoring. The woman smiled again. "Thank you."

She continued what she was doing before, stroking the Pokemon's fur at the same time, looking serious once more. Her pale skin looked even paler in the dense light, but she was altogether beautiful in every way. She looked at least in her late 20s or early 30s, no younger or older. She sighed as she saw a couple down below in the park overlooking the lake. They were holding each other's hands and smiling as they saw their reflections in the water. The boy knelt down on his knees for a second and revealed a black box from within his pocket; the girl placed her hands over her mouth then squealed as she hugged the boy around his neck.

She looked away. Something about watching this scene hurt her. She gently picked the Persian up and set in on a pillow in her room, covering it with a special blanket, then got into her big, circular bed with chafon curtains all around. She pulled the covers up closer to her, almost unconscious, until she heard a loud crash downstairs and the sound of several pounding feet. She quickly charged out of her bed, panicking, and ran out of the room frantically and into her bathroom.

There, she crouched down, hugging her knees with one hand and pulling out a cell phone with the other, pressed up against a cabinet. She reached up to lock the door quickly then dialed a number on her phone. The phone had an entirely black skin with a red R imprinted on it. As she held the cell close to her ear, she mumbled some kind of prayer that the person on the other end would pick up, her eyes squeezed shut. They shot open when she heard someone answer her call.

"Hello?" the answering person spoke.

"Oh, thank God you picked up, Chase. The cops are here. Right now. I have no ammo or guns or knives or anything except for the knives down in the kitchen, and there's no possible way I can get down there now. I need the team here now, for my life and for the sake of your salary," she gushed out at him all at once, but still in a calm way.

The voice on the other line paused for a bit. "I'm contacting them right now, Ma'am," was his reply. He paused for about another 10 seconds. "We're already on our way."

"Good. You'd better be. If you weren't then I just might have to have your head." She shut the phone quickly after she said this then held her breath, not wanting to make a sound. Sweat drops of fear trickled down her face when she heard her Persian meowing loudly just outside her door. She tried to shush it immediately, but it wouldn't shut up still. She exhaled angrily as she tried to control her brewing temper. Instantly silencing when she heard voices coming from right outside the door, she held her breath once again, trembling with anxiety.

"Naru! We know you're in here! Show yourself!" Officer Jenny shouted, holding up a gun. The obvious anger in her voice frightened the Persian into meowing loudly and hissing at the policemen all around. "That Persian! Naru must be inside that door!"

The woman cringed at this, wanting to curse the Pokemon for leading them right to her. She moved silently farther into the bathroom, tiptoeing into the shower room, locking the French doors behind her. Pulling back the shower curtains and stepping into the tub, she once again crouched down, listening closely for any more signs of approaching threats. She heard them breaking down the first door, so immediately got up and rushed into the next room, a bedroom, that was linked to the other through the bathroom. She decided to slink downstairs and into the kitchen where the knives were, and to her best luck, found no more signs of law force.

She opened all the drawers and stuffed as many knives as she could into her kimono sash, trying not to stab herself in the process, then opened the fridge. She rolled her eyes when she saw the box of doughnuts missing. Stupid police. She slammed the fridgerator door shut almost exactly when she heard footsteps coming downstairs. She panicked; she knew there were several other places where she could hide, but she didn't want to risk anybody seeing her. She just glanced around, sweating, until she found herself staring directly into the eyes of Officer Jenny.

"You are hereby placed under arrest, Kasumi Naru," Officer Jenny stated loud and clear, motioning for two male officers with handcuffs to come forward. "Your days as a Rocket Mistress are now over."

Kasumi smirked evilly. "That's what you think!" she shouted as she yanked out a hidden knife and stabbed it into Jenny's stomach. The police authority fell to the ground, groaning in pain, struggling to aim her gun up at her assaulter. The police force all aimed guns at Kasumi and fired, but she was too fast. Throwing out a silver powder that concealed her in a puff of smoke, she was completely gone when the smoke disappeared.

When they looked out the window, they saw her, flying away on her Dragonite, cackling maniacally. The Rocket members who saw her overhead knew that she had escaped, so didn't continue on their way to Kasumi's house but instead went back to the base.

Kasumi grinned. Once again, she had altered her fate. Now, she knew, there was only one more thing to do...

~*^>^<^*~

Nikki Tricken tiptoed into her Verdanturf home, quiet as a ghost Pokemon, then silently closed the door behind her. She glanced at the clock on the kitchen wall. 1:30 A.M.

Oh, darn it, she thought nervously. Mom'll kill me if she finds out I stayed out past 10.

A small green Pokemon with thorns on top of its head and two roses, one pink and one blue, followed close behind her.

"Ro?" it said in a high, innocent voice.

Nikki whizzed around speedily and shushed the Roselia, whispering, "Thalia, you have to be quiet! Do you know what'll happen if Mom finds me- -"

"Hello, Nikki," a young woman coming down the staircase greeted her, but not in the happy kind of way. She flipped up the lightswitch and stared straight at her daughter. She glanced up at the clock, then back at her. Her lavender eyes matched her daughter's, same with their bright teal-blue hair. She looked as if she was in her 20s; her hair was messy from her sleeping and she had dark bags under her eyes. "I told you to be home by 10. I know you have all those trainers' meetings and all, but 1:30 is ridiculous, Nichol. Ridiculous."

"But Mom," Nikki whined, thinking of where she had just been, which was not a trainers' meeting.

"No. Go upstairs right now, and your father and I will decide your punishment- -"

"What's goin' on now?" A tall male with white, scruffy hair, bright blue eyes, and handsome features came down the stairs next, stretching out. Unlike the woman standing beside him, he looked more rested and lively. He immediately started rummaging through the fridge and found a nice piece of chocolate cake to eat. He brought it with him on a plate to the kitchen counter and started eating, making a mess all over the place. The woman sighed as she looked at her husband. It was the middle of the night, his daughter had tried to sneak in past curfew, and all he cared about was eating chocolate cake.

"Nichol is finally home," she said, getting impatient with her spouse.

He looked up from his food. "Hiya, Nikki," he waved to her, then continued his eating.

The woman smacked her hand against her forehead. "For goodness' sake, Wolfgang, it's 1:30 in the morning! She should have been home hours ago!"

"1:33, Sweetheart," he corrected, getting up to get more cake.

She looked at him like he was the most stupid person in the world. (And he probably was) "That's not the point, Wolfie! She's been out long past curfew! Lord only knows what could've happened to her!"

"Honey," he said, getting up and giving her a chocolatey kiss on the cheek, "she's thirteen years old. She's a teenager now. She's gonna get home a little after curfew sometimes. Besides..." Wolfie looked over at Nikki and winked at her. He sure knew how to save her butt when she needed it the most. "...This is only the first time. Nikki's a good kid. Let's spare her. Just this once?"

The woman sighed. "Ok. Just this once." She yawned and rubbed her eyes, beginning to head up the staircase to bed.

"Thank you, Renee. G'night, Sweetie."

"Good night, Wolfie," she said one final time, then retreated to her bed.

Wolfgang rubbed the seat next to him, motioning for Nikki to sit down. He stuck his fork into another hunk of cake, then shoved it into his mouth.

Nikki sighed, relieved. "Thank you so much, Dad. I really owe you one," she gushed, resting her chin in both her hands.

"That you do....So what's his name?"

Nikki glanced over at her father, wondering how he already knew. "How do y-"

"Look, hun, I ain't stupid as you think."

"It's Brandon. But look here, Ok? We're just boyfriend and girlfriend, nothing serio- -" she blurted out, but Wolfie cut her off.

"It's ok, I trust you. I had a girlfriend of my own. I know how you feel. Except in your case it would be a boyfriend." Nikki smiled. She always knew she could count on her dad. "I know you'll do just fine. You can go out on dates, just try and get back before midnight, OK?"

She laughed. "Ok, Dad." She started off for the stairs. "And thanks."

"No problem," he said back, then ate the last piece of the chocolate cake. After Nikki had gone to bed, Wolfie turned out all the lights, made sure everyone was asleep, then hit the hay himself. Little did he know, however, that this was the last time he and his family would be able to sleep in peace.

Here's Chapter Three! Thanks charmeleonblaze for commenting! ^^

Chapter Three: Merciless

The dimlit sky still enshrouded the world as Kasumi trailed off into the sky on her large, orange dragon Pokemon. She lay down on her back for a moment, admiring the dark and evil-looking sky, then grinned. After sitting up straight, she started pulling the knives out from her sash, then threw them down to the ground to see what she could hit. Kasumi rolled over laughing when she saw that she had hit an innocent bird Pokemon flying through the air. The Dragonite paid no attention to its maniacal trainer but instead continued flying. Kasumi lay down on her stomach, looking into some kind of book, flipping the pages with one hand, her chin resting in the other.

"Ah! Here we go!" she exclaimed, satisfied. She ran her finger, skimming the text until she found what she wanted. "Uh-huh. Here it is. Renee Skye Naru- Powerful, respectful trainer who triumphed over each league and is one of the greatest trainers who ever lived. Date of birth: August 31, 1974. Height:5'11". Weight:130 pounds. Married Wolfgang Mackenzie Tricken at the age of 19. Hmm...Ts, Ts, Ts, ah- -Here he is- -Wolfgang Mackenzie Tricken- Supposedly one of the strongest and greatest champions ever to live. Date of birth: October 28, 1974. Height: 6'2". Weight: 185 pounds. Married Renee Skye Naru at the age 19." Kasumi looked up for a moment.

"Ah, so little sis finally got married to that kid? How unexpected," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. Her heavy mascara made her looked even darker and mysertious than she already was. Kasumi then returned to looking through the mahogany book. "Now tell me about their kids...Norman Tricken, Hugh Tricken, Suzie Tricken...No." She slammed the book shut angrily and looked at its spine. "Hmm...1993. I'll have to get the 2007 one...You think our good friends down at the Pokemon Center will have one on their dusty bookcase, Kyoumou?"

The Dragonite turned around momentarily to look at her trainer. Although she didn't like at all how Kasumi was evil, she had grown accustomed to it, but one day still hoped that her trainer would convert to good. She nodded her head slowly, then immediately turned to face in front of her after almost hitting a building. Kyoumou started to land in front of the Pokemon Center, but Kasumi directed her on the other side, behind it. There, Kasumi got off of Kyoumou and returned her to her Poke Ball. She pulled her hair back into a dainty bun, changed her kimono inside out (it was originally black but was now red), tucked her skirt more into her sash, and rolled up her sleeves so she could look less like herself.

She quickly ran around to the front of the big, white building with a red roof that had the engraved image of a Poke Ball, and entered through the glass doors. She immediately set off for the stairs, trying to avoid Nurse Joy, but failed.

"Is there anyway I can help you, dear?" Nurse Joy asked sweetly, looking worriedly at Kasumi. Her crystal blue eyes wore a nervous look; somehow they knew this strange woman was not to be trusted. Her smile looked sincere and true, but Kasumi, having worked with thieves all her life, knew when a grin was fake or not. Kasumi turned to look at her closer and grimaced.

"Quit pretending. We both know that smile's fake," she said bluntly and emotionlessly; Nurse Joy was taken aback.

"Wh-who are you?" Nurse Joy asked, holding back terrified tears.

"Now that's awfully rude of you. Never would have expected such a thing from a sweet, innocent thing like you. I believe it's proper etiquette for you to tell me you name first. This is our first meeting, correct?"

The Pokemon medical expert only nodded, her tears now obviously showing.

"Wuss. So now you're crying? What about me scares you so?" Kasumi gave her a frightening smile, followed by a devious glare in her eyes. Nurse Joy knew she wouldn't live to see tomorrow with this woman here. She started backing up slowly, trying to keep Kasumi from seeing her actions, and picked up a syringe. With the needle behind her back, she carefully approached Kasumi with her weapon. Nurse Joy flung it at Kasumi.

Kasumi caught it in her hand, avoiding the needle, then smiled evilly. "Aww, you think an itsy bitsy syringe can hurt me? Honey, I've been shot, stabbed, and still lived so many times you wouldn't believe it."

Nurse Joy lost it and threw every thing she could get her hands on at Kasumi. The Team Rocket leader just dodged everything and rolled her eyes when Nurse Joy tripped and fell face first. Nurse Joy looked up at her, withering in pain, cursing her. A big, egg-shaped Chansey rushed up to help her, but Nurse Joy motioned for it to go back and hide.

"Why...why are you doing this to me?" she managed to speak, one eye squeezed shut in pain, the other still open, looking right into Kasumi's red, sparkling eyes. Nurse Joy gasped when she saw her pupils thin and lengthen, making them look just like the eyes of a serpent.

Kasumi laughed softly. "I haven't done anything, Miss Joy. I only came in here for a certain book, and you just freaked out."

Nurse Joy's normally sweet, round face sharpened. "You've lost your mind."

"Or are you the one who has?" She left her there, groping in pain, and walked up the staircase to the library. After about half an hour, she came back down with a black book in her hands. Acting as if Nurse Joy cared, she held the book in front of her face, saying, "Residents of Hoenn, 2007. Might be of some use to me, who knows? Hope you don't mind that I won't be returning it any time soon."

Nurse Joy looked up at Kasumi, hatred glowing in her face. "What are you going to do with it?"

"Since you won't be telling anyone anyway, I guess I might as well tell you. I might be...looking up some family members that weren't around a few years ago...Just in case, you know, to keep up with current events?" she answered, rubbing two fingers together. "But I can't have you telling anybody, you know. You can't be trusted." Kasumi glanced down at her, her eyes still looking snaky. She gave her a devious smile that made Nurse Joy burst out crying.

Kasumi felt no pity towards the hysterical woman as she pulled out another knife from her sash, flipping her over onto her back with her foot. "Believe me, sweety, this'll hurt you a lot more than it hurts me."

A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the night air that could be heard far outside of the city. The police, paramedics, every authority came, but no evidence was found, no matter how much the building was searched. All that could be found was the dead carcass of Joy Annabelle Kirk.

~*^>^<^*~

"Well, would you look at this!" Wolfie exclaimed to his family the next morning, reading a newspaper. Marti ran up to see, her messy white bedhead hair covering most of her excited expression.

"What is it, Dad?" she asked, leaning on his shoulder.

"Says here that the Nurse Joy down in Mauville was murdered early this morning, 'round 2 A.M."

Renee walked up, skimming the news article. "That's horrible, Wolfie! What kind of a person would do that to such a sweet lady?"

Marti looked a little distrubed as well. "Does it say how she died?"

"Says she was stabbed in the chest," Wolfie replied, surprised. He took a bite of his scrambled eggs and continued reading. "They say they examined her body for any DNA of the killer, but they ain't been findin' nothin' but her own DNA." He snorted. "Strange."

Renee nodded in agreement, taking a sip out of her coffee mug. "It is. Marti, where's your sister and your brother? Are they up yet?"

Marti's bright blue eyes lit up. "I'm not really sure; I didn't look over at Nikki when I got up, and I haven't been into Ryan's room this morning."

Wolfie put the newspaper down and shoved his chair back, causing his daughter to trip a bit. He leveled her quickly, chuckling, then stretched out. He scratched his backside then started up the stairs, calling to his wife, "I'll go check."

Renee sat down at the table next to Marti, her head resting on her fisted hand. An emotionless, drowsy look concealed her face; she neither ate or picked at her food, she just to took another sip of coffee, although it didn't hype her up one bit. Marti flipped on the TV switch and giggled when a playful Mightyena licked her.

"Kurassha, cut it out," she laughed, making Renee smile. "No wonder you're so frisky; you're obviously Dad's Pokemon!"

"Good morning, Kurassha," Renee greeted the wolf-like Pokemon, giving it a soft pat on the head. Kurassha nuzzled against her leg in return, then gobbled up the piece of egg Renee handed it. "Good girl."

Marti's attention had turned from the Pokemon to the TV screen. She spooned in her cereal bite after bite as she watched the program, as if she had to do it quickly as possible as so not to miss anything. She held her head back and laughed, food still in her mouth; Renee looked away in disgust.

"Please, Marti, your mouth is full of- -" she started, but Wolfie's frantic cries soon interrupted her.

"Nikki and Ryan!" he shouted, rushing down the staircase. "They're gone!!"

I am guessing yuo watch Naruto, judging from your avatar and your lack of squeamishness for blood. You are the same as me. Gore and blood doesn't bother me in the slightest. I did a story at school, with lots of blood and gore. I printed it... showed my parents, then realised how detailed it was Aw well. *spins out kunai**grins*

Nice job, Flim! I like how your descriptive without being too descriptive. And it's aslo realistic, unfourtunetly that's missing in a lot of fics nowadays. All likeable characters and everything, awesome! I don't think Brock would like the fact you killed Jenny and Nuse Joy, though.

Aww, thanks so much, Woog! Rofl, I never thought of Brock xD Nurse Joy is gone for good, but not Jenny...Jenny's tough. You're so sweet! ^^

Ha, think you're over-exaggerating just a little? xD Anyway, I'm having a major writer's block at the moment, even though I know what's gonna happen next. Next chap. should be out soon.
