Fishing
In Sapphire this fishing larky is really hard, is it me or is it like this for everyone? I have been fishing for like 10 minuites and I only got 1 bite which got away! Im only using an Old Rod so im not expecting to get anything good but you would think I would be able to get a Magikarp atleast! Is there some sort of secret to this fishing buisness that I dont know about?
Thanks

Re: Fishing
I hate fishing in R/S, when it says you have a bite you need to quick hit the A button, then wait...then it will say you have a bite again, and again you quickly press A, BUT MAKE SURE YOU ONLY HIT A ONCE EACH TIME. And repeat until you catch them.

Personally, I think it's funner that way.
@Kert, a lot of it does depend on where you're fishing at, but you might just be having a stroke of bad luck. Keep at it, it's completely random.

Its easier just getting in the water and surfing.
Good rods are good at catching Magicarp too, so maybe wait until you get one of those?
And how can you get more fish? Try fishing around!

Those programmers are bad. I want a game so glitcy that I take one step and get stuck in the wall!
Which might not be fun. Anyway, the moral is

Re: Fishing
LOL you need a Magikarp out of all pokemon. Hey If you want one then just go to Sootopolis city the waters are filled with them and the occasional gyrados.

Re: Fishing
Hm..
Sapphire? Old rod?
Try getting a Magicarp with a good rod those work too. And, just like Lifetimeban said, maybe you should try surfing in the water and using your old or good rod. Maybe surf in Sootopolis.

Re: Fishing
Yeah go to sootopolis and fish for magikarp/gyrados
For the Feebas you have to use a super rod in six different areas along that route.
I found my feebas in front of the waterfall near the weather institute
It took forever though.I got mostly carvahnas
