Default Um, some questions regarding the battle modes

Ok, uh, so I was reffing, and I thought I'd ask about this issue that came up.

Right now there's like 4 modes:
RBY
GSC
RS
Stadium

Question: Is Stadium ALWAYS going to be using the mechanics of RS, or is Stadium mode just a sub-mode, so you can choose stadium mode and then the mechanics of any mode? Eg: Can you Stadium in RBY and have the Hyper beam thing, Stadium in GSC to have the poison at end of move thing, etc?
Essentially, ending up with:
RBY
STADIUM-RBY
GSC
STADIUM-GSC
RS
STADIUM-RS

Also, Marth told me this instead:

There is essentially no different modes. GSC mode is basically RS mode without the Traits, but all battle mechanics, such as poison, toxic, etc. are operating the same way as they would RS, and Stadium is just where you tell the moves to the ref secretly via IM.

Is that the case instead? I seem to have gotten things mixed up.

Also, regarding Poison:

I told Marth that I've been reffing with poison/burn dealing 1/8 rounding down (1.2 dmg) per turn and Toxic as 1/16 with increments of 1/16, so 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, which is essentially how the game handled it. Marth agrees that it's correct, but that he uses 1HP, and toxic as always doubling. Uh, am I allowed to do it the first way, or should I also follow Marth's way instead?

Just curious, anyhow, because toxic seems to be uh, exceptionally powerful in the URPG.

essential, stadium was always like g/s rules except for the opponents tell the ref moves and Pokemon. stadium will still be stadium rules and it is understood as g/s. for r/s, there is coloseum that came out.
so...
stadium= g/s
coloseum=r/s

as for toxic, we went over that one Dux while you were vacant.
Toxic damage: .9 first turn and increase by that much adding on to the damage. (.9, 1.8, 2.7, 3.6, 4.5, 5.4...etc.)
here's the link.

Thanks a bunch! That clears everything up now.

Man, now reffing is easier *nod*

Edit: Oops, forgot to ask:

So normal Psn and Brn are 1 HP damage each?

.9 each. Toxic is: X; 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, where "x" is .9.

oh, ok, makes sense ^_^

Oh yeah, Jack, I didn't quite understand, is GSC mode actually basing GSC mechanics, or is GSC mode just RS mode without Traits?

Oh, another question regarding poison.

If you KO an opponent, eg:

Espeon used Psychic!
Vaporeon fainted!

But Espeon is poisoned, then in RBY:

Go Weezing!
END TURN

in GSC:

Go Weezing!
Espeon is hurt by poison
END TURN

in RS:

Go Weezing!
Espeon is hurt by poison
END TURN

(the diff is that in GSC Poison happens after you attack, RS is always at end of turn regardless).

So in the URPG, if I KO a pokemon and is poisoned, do I take poison damage that turn in GSC mode? What about RS mode?

We have always had psn not hurt if you fnt the opponent due to too many draws will occur if you applied psn.

Although you can't tie with PSN because the game ends the moment one team's pokemons are all fainted, and poison damage is dealt after a pokemon is sent to replace the fainted pokemon, but ok, I'll keep that in mind.

MLugia is right.

R/B Poison was dirty... the main reason I started with Bellsprout/Victreebell was because I could KO most pokemon in 2-3 moves ^_^.

Toxic + Wrap ^_^

Wrap doesn't trap others in RBY... Unless you're using GSCRS rules, but you're talking about R/B Poison so...yeah.

Well, iirc, none of the in-game trainers switch, and if you're a fast wrapper, switching out and getting wrapped on the switchin is just as painful :/
