Don't get thunder it has horrible accuracy. If you really want it get rid of thunder wave.

Quick Attack, it's a basically worthless move for your pokemon to know as you progress in the game.

I agree. Thunder has low accuracy. Thunderbolt is more preferred. Besides, you can buy a TM for Thunderbolt at Lilycove.
