In Japan, Pokemon Emerald was also released in the Fall, back in Fall 2004 (September 16, 2004). And it took about 7-8 months to get to the US, Pokemon Emerald was released in May 1, 2005.

So we're in a similar situation right now, with Diamond/Pearl scheduled for Fall 2006 in Japan, so you can expect a US release date around April/May 2007.

Yea you're right, I'm off by one day. Originally, the release date was scheduled for April 15th, then they pushed it back.

Team Rocket grunts have beret-like things and they don't look French, lol.

I don't think the guy looks that bad... I like his hat...but it does look a little weird in the game screenshots. I'm glad the girl looks cool, though I'd play as a female no matter what, lol.

At first glance, the games dont look that spectacular, but when comparing the screenshots with those of the Advanced games, they do look pretty good.

I guess pretty soon we'll be flooded with information. Annoying if you have a website to update xD but I'm excited now.

Sarah, personally I consider the Rockets to be wearing the type of caps people wore decades ago; they're rather different in design too (they have those flap things that help block the sun/hide eyes and stuff). If it were a hat like the rockets, I'd love the main character completely, but...
