Default Chansey

Hey guys, I've spent prolly... oh I dunno, A WHOLE DAY trying to catch Chansey in the Safari Zone, I found a place that has her appearing, but I can never seem to catch her, no matter what I do...

Any tips/tricks to catch her?

Bait, rocks, and a ton of luck is really all you have. Don't move squares when walking, just gently tap you D-pad so your character just turns but doesn't move. That way, you'll keep your safari time and all you have to worry about is the safari balls.

use a lot of baits even though it makes it harder to catch it it doesnt really matter if its harder to catch cuz if u dont throw any bait itll probably just run away like right away

My advice for getting a chansey is not to waste your time trying to do anything special in getting it, because there isn't an easier way. I advise however, that you just throw a ball at it straight off, cause you have a better chance a t catching it then you do if you use the bait, and it might still run away if you just throw a bait, so a ball is the logical choice. Good luck, however, I don't know if it is worth the work if you are just trying for a lucky egg, because they are like impossible to gate, and take more time to get them than the extra exp. is worth, in my book anyways... well, like I said, Good Luck.

Yea, there is. See, you got to get to a different area in the safari zone (A.3?).

Anywho, the chances to get a Chansey are either 2% or 10%.

I suggest you find out how to get there firsthand, 'cause if you don't (like me), you just might waste all of your steps.

This is the best method. You get to save valuable steps, raising your chance of encountering Chansey without having to constantly go back.

I usually just throw a Safari Ball at it right away. With me, throwing bait or rocks at it always seems to make it flee.

To come to think of it, Chansey's pretty much useless except for its defense and special defense.

Chansey's defense sucks. I once used cut on one that was at level 55 and it fainted instantly.

If you've heard of competitive battling, you would know that Chansey/Blissey is far from that. It has the ability to heal your entire team and absorb Special hits.

Some noob will tell you not to double post, so I'll do it first. Don't.

And Chansey's defense SUCKS, and it doesn't really need its special D. It just has a lot of HP...

Yes I know what you mean, I have a lv 100 Blissey It has a hell of a lot of HP and Sp. Def. and it has decent SP. attack and good speed.....well good speed for a Blissey.

And this was a VERY lucky catch on this Chansey, it took me a long time to catch it, but when I finally caught one it had a Hasty nature and was holding a Lucky Egg!!

Man that was a lucky catch.

Oh and my advice, throw a Safari ball and pray.

EDIT: I'll post my Blissy's stats here later if anyone wants to know.

Yep, now it's on my Sapphire version. Actually come to think of it I am VERY lucky at getting held items.
