Pokemon National Video Game Championships: Qualifier Website Open!

The qualifying site for the Pokemon Video Game National Championships is now open, you can visit the site here: http://www.pokemon.com/pokemonchallenge/

Qualifying is currently open for Miami, FL. Qualifying for Tampa, FL on March 4th and Atalanta, GA on March 11th will be open on February 18th, 2006. You can pre-register before the qualifying opens. The qualification process is an online Pokemon trivia challenge. The first 64 contestant to score high enough in each age group will qualify (12 and under, and 13 and over).

Okay, Ryan, I will take it from here.

1st placers get a Nintendo DS, a trp for four to Tokyo, Japan, and 5 games that are to be released in the U.S.

2nd placers get a Game Boy Micro and 5 games that are to be released in the U.S.

3rd placers get 5 games that are to Be released in the U.S.

4 th placers get a Pokemon plush.

Everyone who is in the top 64 gets a prize pack.

Do you have to win the qualifing thing to go to this Journey Across America. I need to soon mine is this Saturday.

Nope. The video game tournament is part of Journey Across America, so no, you don't have to qualify to just go to the event itself, that just means you won't participate in the video game tourament. But there will be other things for you to do there, like getting Celebi for your game and the 20 other Pokemon listed here: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/foru...ad.php?t=14812

Has anyone gone to the first event in Florida? No sites have any information about the tournaments! Nobody knows exactly what kind of events there will be, or who won the tournament, with what pokemon, what attacks, etc. It would be very intresting...
Maybe the owners of this site can get some of this info??
