It's awesome they will be released globally. They must have been working on it for a long time to be able to do that! Amazing nothing was leaked earlier.

I'm really excited too! Torn between wanting to cover the news for PE2K and wanting to avoid spoilers completely. D:

I have been contemplating trading in my DS lite and getting a preowned 3DS, so I can do WFL (Bloody WPA) After seeing this I am definately getting a 3DS.

$10 says there are 15 or more legendary pokemon.

They cut down legendaries in B/W, so it's my opinion they've realized we don't want a bajillion legends like in 4th gen. xD

I don't know, I certainly like the idea of 3D world being implemented and the prospect of 3D battling.. But the style again is just not Pokemon for me. It's like they are trying too hard to make every city/town special and different and end up with too futuristic designs and ruin that essence of simplicity and that bit of magic which made old Pokemon games so special is lost.

And I understand how all the legends add the to the storyline and everything, but sometimes you need to draw a line. Hopefully they don't do too many, but I have my doubts.

I don't know what to think. I'm excited for the games but some of the Pokemon look uninspired and the release is way too soon. I don't even have a 3DS! >_<

I wouldn't say it's too soon- it's been three years since Gen 5 was announced, which is (roughly) the same gap between RBY-GSC-RSE-DPPt-BW. It probably just seems shorter due to BW2.

Personally, I was devastated during the first watch of the trailer, then I watched it again and perked up, and then again, and then again and I feel miles better and more excited. I think a big part of me is mourning the loss of the traditional style games (especially as I desperately want RSE remakes) but the 3D style of X & Y remind me of the Gamecube games and I loved them to pieces.

Also, it looks like they're not adding in a whole new gen of Pokemon which is a plus.

Pfft, I think pretty much most generation I, III, and some of IV are ugly. xD All the starters are so cyooooooooooooooot. I think we're going to finally have a cute generation. MY DREAM.

I was awestruck when I found out about this! Gen 5 still feels new to me and now we're getting gen 6?! Wow! The starters look really nice IMO Chespin is just adorable! It actually has the potential to become my new favorite grass starter. (Sorry Chikorita )

I really agree with this, im surprised they didnt go with a remake first. Ruby and Sapphire really need to get a remake already. I am hoping they didnt rush these pokemon.. because I really felt like the designs of the fifth gen pokemon were very poor.
