In the land of Tamriel, year 4E 201, the region of Skyrim is on the brink of civil war. With the High King killed two sides have risen to put someone they want on the throne. The Imperial Legion wishes to put the late King’s widow on the thrown and keep ties with the Empire while the rebel Stormcloaks wish for Skyrim’s independence. Tensions are rising and the land divided, it’s only a matter of time before there is massive bloodshed and a full out war started to settle this debate.
But this is not the only thing that plagues the beautiful land of Skyrim, for this year that marks the return of the dragons.
It is a dark time for the northernmost region of Tamriel. Factions struggling to survive and nowhere near their former glory, a nation divided, and dragons terrorizing the land, it would appear that it was close to the end times. However even in the darkest of times there is always a glimmer of hope, for there is also another legend that could bring hope to the hearts of all in Skyrim – the Dragonborn. Known as the ultimate dragon slayer, the Dragonborn could be just the person the land needs. However there hasn’t been one in centuries and some aren’t sure if it’s just a legend or reality.
Will a hero rise to defend Skyrim? Will the land be permanently painted red with the blood spilt with war? Will the mythical Dragonborn appear to fight against the rising dragon threat? No one is certain, and unfortunately only time will tell. This tale has only just begun, and there is not one person who can predict the ending.

Factions: Thieves Guild
Hometown: Riften
Standing Stone: The Shadow
Appearance: She is a dark-scaled Argonian. She has a full head of long, thin spikes protruding from the back of her head. She has an agile, light frame.
Personality: Unlike most thieves, she isn’t motivated by the septims. She enjoys the experience and adventure of her particular arrangement. She has a more adventurous spirit than the average thief. She doesn’t feel the burden of morals. She steals as if it was a second nature. Although she isn’t particularly fond of murder, she does not shy from a fight especially when her life is at stake. She likes to collect rare or odd items. She finds great satisfaction when these ventures go well. She can be described as somewhat immature and fairly impish in nature.
History: Born under the sign of the Shadow in Black Marsh, it would have been expected of her to join the ranks of the Shadowscales. By some complication, random or arranged, that none seem to understand, she found herself alone in Riften at a young age. She found she had to take what she wanted. She learned this craft quickly and was not bad at it, of course turning invisible before getting caught never hurts. She lived for a while on the streets of Riften. It didn’t take long for the Thieves Guild to notice that there was a thief whom they did not recognize. This possible threat to the guild was sought out. She wasn’t particularly easy for them to find partly because they had no idea what they were looking for. They did find her after effort, and they were slightly surprised by this discovery. They took her in as an apprentice of sorts, a surprisingly noble deed for thieves. She adjusted well into her new dysfunctional family of thieves. Since she had a complete lack of a name, they took to calling her Black Thorn, highly original since it was based off of the color of the long, thin spikes protruding from the back of her head. The name stuck in a slightly altered form. She doesn’t remember much about the land of her birth. She does not know of any family that she may have.
Inventory: Equiped: Forsworn Armor (enchant: fortify destruction and magika regen), Forsworn Headdress (enchant: Fortify Destruction), Forsworn Guantlets (enchant: Fortify Pickpocket), Forsworn Boots (enchant: Fortify Sneak), Bone Hawk Rings (enchant: fortify one-handed), Bone Hawk Amulet (enchant: fortify one-handed), Twin Rippers (Renamed Falmer War Axes with fire enchantments)
In the HammerSpace: Theives Guild Hood, Thieves Guild Armor, Thieves Guild Bracers, Thieves Guild Boots, SoulSplinter (Shiv with soul snare enchant), ForeRazer(Forsworn Bow with shock enchant), Falmer and Forsworn Arrows, Various Soul Gems, Lockpicks, Potion of Healing
Skills: Block, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Conjuration, Speechcraft, Enchantment, Archery, Restoration
Imperials or Stormcloaks: neutral
Eligible Dragonborn: No
Factions: N/A
Hometown: Markarth, Currently near Falkreath
Standing Stone: The Steed
Appearance: He is a short-haired Breton. He has a bit of nice fuzz in place of facial hair. He has a green symbol tattooed around his left eye. He has a nicely built muscle tone from carrying around all that armor he wears. His eyes also have that yellow-orange glow of vampirism. He also has fangs.
Personality: He is fairly quiet by nature. He enjoys natural sights as compared to city scenes. He does not see the point in a meaningless kill. Every life has some meaning to him even those conjured. Of course he is not one to hesitate if he must extinguish one life to preserve another, but circumstance does matter. He also will defend himself and deal with his aggressors with prejudice.
History: There is quite a bit of rumor floating around Falkreath as to the history of Norik. Not much of it is true. He is thought to be an Imperial deserter, but he is no coward. He was thought to be retired, but he isn’t thought to be old enough. In truth he was born in Markarth. He was infected by a vampire as a young man. He had moved to Cyrodiil to get away from Skyrim for a good while. He was near the Imperial City when the Avatar of Akatosh struck down Mehrunes Dagon, thus ending the Oblivion Crisis. He also fought the Aldmeri Dominion for the sake of Talos. After this he moved back to Skyrim. He settled into his home near Falkreath. Lakeview Manor is quite adequate for supporting life. He spent a great amount of time here. He stayed to himself. His ideals were learned through experience, since he has lived for a bit longer than one would guess. His best friend seems to be a Fire Atronach he summons. It always seems to be the same Atronach.
Inventory: Equipped: Steel Plate Helm (enchant: Fortify Conjuration), Steel Plate Gauntlets (enchant: Fortify Block), Steel Plate Armor (Enchant: Fortify Destruction), Steel Plate Boots (Enchant: Fortify Sneak), Gold Ruby Ring (Enchant: Fortify Destruction and Magicka Regen), Gold Ruby Necklace (Enchant: Fortify Conjuration and Magicka Regen) Targe of the Blooded (unique shield: Deals 3pts of bleed damage for 5 secs on Bash)
In the Hammerspace: Ragged Trousers (White with useless Glow enchant), Imperial Bow (Enchant: Soul Trap), Steel Arrows, Various Soul Gems, Potion of Blood, Gold
Skills: Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, Smithing, Alchemy, Enchantment, Restoration, Speechcraft, Lycanthropy
Imperials or Stormcloaks: neutral
Factions: Companions
Hometown: Unknown Orc Stronghold, Currently residing in Whiterun
Standing Stone: The Lord
Appearance: He is your typical green-skinned orc. He has a great mass of muscle. He has red tribal face paint across his face. As well as an almost red ragged Mohawk that folds underneath his helmet.
Personality: Being born in an Orc Stronghold causes you to grow tough to survive. He appears fairly dead in emotion and is rather cold. He isn’t bothered by death nor does he fear it. It can be assumed there is still something almost human buried behind those orcish eyes of course it will take digging to find it.
History: He was born in an Orc Stronghold. He was the youngest son of the chief. He earned the second part of his name from his fist which felt like a hammer. He did not get along with his oldest brother. When his older brother slew his father to become chief, Gorvesh was exiled by his brother. After his exile, he decided to put his talents to the test and join the Companions as a test of himself and his fellow man. He had little trouble joining the Companions. During a mission working alongside another member, he was exposed to the blood of his comrade. The transformation was swift and merciless. He found himself something different. His power was great and his thirst for life even greater. He awoke in his Orc form in less than pleasant attire. His life with the Companions continues.
Inventory: Equipped: Steel Horned Helmet (tempered), Wolf Armor (tempered), Wolf Guantlets (tempered), Wolf Boots (tempered), Silver Ring (enchant: fortify Health), Silver Necklace (Enchant: fortify Stamina Regen), Skyforge Steel Battleaxe (Enchant: Shock)

Name: Eclipse Race: Dark Elf Sub-Race: N/A Gender: Male Appearance: Eclipse is the average height for a Dunmer, however stronger and fitter than most due to his job. He has short black hair, and crimson eyes. He still looks relatively young (He is approx 40 years old, but looks 25). He has the unusual light blue skin tone, which is rare among Dunmer, and his back is scarred from getting the whip as punishment after being caught stealing. His left wrist is heavily scarred from using his bow without a vambrace, and a tattoo of Karliah's name on his right wrist. Skills: Destruction, Sneak, One handed, Archery, Speech, Pickpocket, Lockpicking, Light Armour Main Inventory:
Nightingale Armour (Stock Enchants), Dual Daedric Daggers (Enchant for fire damage), Daedric Bow(enchant for shock damage), Assortment of arrows, Potion of Magicka x3, Potion of Stamina x3, General food supplies. Eligible Dragonborn: no
Hometown: Grew up in Riften, Currently lives in Windhelm Factions: Nightingale, Dark Brotherhood, Theives Guild (Ex) Personality: Eclipse takes everything seriously. Especially his job. If someone performs the Black Sacrament, Eclipse will not rest until they are dead. Even in his free time, he rarely relaxes. He is synical, the only jokes he ever makes being dark and disturbing. Nights when he isn't working, and can afford to be hung over the next day, he will be at the pub, trying to drink away the memories of his past. History: Eclipse cannot remember anything before the Riften Orphanage. He was told he was abandoned there at a young age. He was the only Dunmer who lived at the Orphanage, and had very few friends. The other children were afraid of him. They had heard about how the Dunmer like to play with fire. By the time he was 14 he had run away from the Orphanage, learning to sneak and pickpocket in order to feed himself.
At age 15, Eclipse was caught trying to pick someone's pockets. He was very close to doing so, until the man turned around and saw him. The man was Gallus of the theives guild. Gallus was 21 at the time, and took Eclipse to the theives guild where he was given regular work. After a few months, he earned the respect of the other members, Karliah included.
Over the next two years, Eclipse and Karliah became friends, and Eclipse developed feelings for her. But he noticed that she kept sneaking off randomly. Worried that she had got into trouble, Eclipse followed her, to Nightingale hall. Gallus was there, and he and Karliah went into a room where they spoke with the Daedric Prince Nocturnal. Gallus and Karliah never knew he was there, until Nocturnal sensed him and pointed him out.
Nocturnal deemed Eclipse worthy of being a Nightingale, by the fact that he had been able to stalk her agents, and enter her hall undetected. He swore to protect her shrines in this life and the next, and from then on was a Nightingale, the Agent of Stealth.
For the next year, his feelings for Karliah continued to develop, to the point where he went to Whiterun to purchase an engagement ring. He planned to propose to Karliah when he returned. He was gone for three weeks. However when he returned, he discovered Karliah and Gallus together. They had fallen in love.
Eclipse snapped. He left Nightingale hall, not telling Gallus or Karliah why. He camped near Nightingale hall for the next year, keeping an eye on what was going on, occasionally sneaking in with his agent of Stealth power. If someone were to stumble upon the Shrine of Nocturnal, he would send them the other way, or kill them. Nocturnal didn't reveal his presence. She knew he was still fulfilling his promise to her, and respected his wish to stay hidden.
In that time, he was replaced. Mercer Frey became a Nightingale. Eclipse retained his Nightingale powers, and continued to watch over Nightingale hall. Until he saw something suspicious. Mercer Frey running towards Nightingale Hall, Sword drawn and bloodstained.
Eclipse followed Mercer into Nightingale hall. Karliah saw Mercer, and asked where Gallus was, since they left on an expedition together. Mercer told her that Gallus was dead, then charged at her, weapon drawn with the intent to kill.
Before Karliah could draw a weapon, Eclipse appeared in front of her, between her and Mercer. Eclipse used his Ancestors Wrath power, surrounding him and Karliah with flames. Mercer stopped, as Eclipse shot him in the wrist. Mercer continued to fight Eclipse. Eclipse used his Daedric Daggers to fight Mercer off, ending with Mercer being stabbed. Mercer fled, as did Eclipse. He didn't think that Nocturnal would be pleased with all the bloodshed in her temple, especially by her own agents.
Mercer blamed his wounds on Karliah and framed her for Gallus' death, since he didn't know who Eclipse was, and Karliah was banished from the theives guild, with a bounty on her head there.
Eclipse joined the Dark brotherhood, becoming one of their most valued assassins. He never seemed to fail when someone's name was put on his list. However after the incident with Karliah, he had become a sour person. He began drinking heavily whenever he could get away with it.
25 years after Gallus' death, Eclipse lives in Windhelm. He is wealthy from doing work for the Dark Brotherhood, and is contacted by Messenger when they need someone in his area dead. He spends his nights at the tavern, drinking away the memories from his past. He still has the ring in his house, and still struggles not to think of Karliah, though would be ashamed if she could see what he has become. Title Application: N/A Magic: Fireball, Chain Lightning, Ice Storm, Fire, Frost and Lightning Runes. Other: Due to him being a Dunmer, Eclipse has his Ancestors Wrath Power, which surrounds him with fire, and is resistant to fire. He also has the Shadowcloak of Nocturnal ability, allowing him to go invisible for small periods of time.

From what I see it looks like you have all the information needed to be accepted. However you're using the "beta" version of the SU I had when I was first developing the idea. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could transfer your info to the given SU on the thread. Also, I need to think about Lakeview Manor. I am uncertain if I want to allow someone to have one of the plots of land right off the bat. Plus Lakeview Manor is a popular spot, at least in my opinion. So I may have to ask you to remove that part, but at this time it's unclear if I am. If you could at least change to the new SU format it would help a lot.

He also has the Shadowcloak of Nocturnal ability, allowing him to go invisible for small periods of time.
All in all this looks very good. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted people to be a Nightingale at the beginning, but with how you wrote your history it's acceptable. You're accepted.
~~~
On another note! Titles aren't just for Thane of a hold. You can also apply for titles like Guild Master, Arch-Mage, Listener, and so on. Now that doesn't mean you'll have that title in the beginning of the roleplay. You can apply for it for gain during the course of the roleplay. Just thought I'd mention that.
I have been thinking, it would be interesting for Eclipse to meet Karliah again due to their past together. Would I be able to control her as an NPC, or would I write a sign up for her as one of my 2 remaining characters.
Name: Blackthorne
In the HammerSpace: Theives Guild Hood, Thieves Guild Armor, Thieves Guild Bracers, Thieves Guild Boots, SoulSplinter (Shiv with soul snare enchant), ForeRazer(Forsworn Bow with shock enchant), Falmer and Forsworn Arrows, Various Soul Gems, Lockpicks, Potion of Healing
Eligible Dragonborn: Sure
OPTIONAL
Hometown: Gideon, Black Marsh
Factions: Thieves Guild
Personality: Unlike most thieves, she isn’t motivated by the septims. She enjoys the experience and adventure of her particular arrangement. She has a more adventurous spirit than the average thief. She doesn’t feel the burden of morals. She steals as if it was a second nature. Although she isn’t particularly fond of murder, she does not shy from a fight especially when her life is at stake. She likes to collect rare or odd items. She finds great satisfaction when these ventures go well. She can be described as somewhat immature and fairly impish in nature.
History: Born under the sign of the Shadow in Black Marsh, it would have been expected of her to join the ranks of the Shadowscales. By some complication, random or arranged, that none seem to understand, she found herself alone in Riften at a young age. She found she had to take what she wanted. She learned this craft quickly and was not bad at it, of course turning invisible before getting caught never hurts. She lived for a while on the streets of Riften. It didn’t take long for the Thieves Guild to notice that there was a thief whom they did not recognize. This possible threat to the guild was sought out. She wasn’t particularly easy for them to find partly because they had no idea what they were looking for. They did find her after effort, and they were slightly surprised by this discovery. They took her in as an apprentice of sorts, a surprisingly noble deed for thieves. She adjusted well into her new dysfunctional family of thieves. Since she had a complete lack of a name, they took to calling her Black Thorn, highly original since it was based off of the color of the long, thin spikes protruding from the back of her head. The name stuck in a slightly altered form. She doesn’t remember much about the land of her birth. She does not know of any family that she may have.
Title Application: Champion of Sanguine, Agent of Dibella (if I can)
Other: Is living in Riften.
Name: Norik Oakskin
Race: Breton
Sub-Race: Vampire
Gender: Male
Appearance: He is a short-haired Breton. He has a bit of nice fuzz in place of facial hair. He has a green symbol tattooed around his left eye. He has a nicely built muscle tone from carrying around all that armor he wears. His eyes also have that yellow-orange glow of vampirism. He also has fangs.
Skills: Block, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Conjuration, Speechcraft, Enchantment, Archery, Restoration
Main Inventory: Steel Plate Helm (enchant: Fortify Conjuration), Steel Plate Gauntlets (enchant: Fortify Block), Steel Plate Armor (Enchant: Fortify Destruction), Steel Plate Boots (Enchant: Fortify Sneak), Gold Ruby Ring (Enchant: Fortify Destruction and Magicka Regen), Gold Ruby Necklace (Enchant: Fortify Conjuration and Magicka Regen) Targe of the Blooded (unique shield: Deals 3pts of bleed damage for 5 secs on Bash)
In the Hammerspace: Ragged Trousers (White with useless Glow enchant), Imperial Bow (Enchant: Soul Trap), Steel Arrows, Various Soul Gems, Potion of Blood, Gold
Eligible Dragonborn: no
OPTIONAL
Hometown: Markarth, Skyrim
Factions: none
Personality: He is fairly quiet by nature. He enjoys natural sights as compared to city scenes. He does not see the point in a meaningless kill. Every life has some meaning to him even those conjured. Of course he is not one to hesitate if he must extinguish one life to preserve another, but circumstance does matter. He also will defend himself and deal with his aggressors with prejudice.
History: There is quite a bit of rumor floating around Falkreath as to the history of Norik. Not much of it is true. He is thought to be an Imperial deserter, but he is no coward. He was thought to be retired, but he isn’t thought to be old enough. In truth he was born in Markarth. He was infected by a vampire as a young man. He had moved to Cyrodiil to get away from Skyrim for a good while. He was near the Imperial City when the Avatar of Akatosh struck down Mehrunes Dagon, thus ending the Oblivion Crisis. He also fought the Aldmeri Dominion for the sake of Talos. After this he moved back to Skyrim. He settled into his home near Falkreath. He spent a great amount of time here. He stayed to himself. His ideals were learned through experience, since he has lived for a bit longer than one would guess. His best friend seems to be a Fire Atronach he summons. It always seems to be the same Atronach.
Title Application: Thane of Falkreath Hold, Agent of Mara (if I can)
Other: Living near Falkreath
Name: Gorvesh HammerFist
Main Inventory: Equipped: Steel Horned Helmet (tempered), Wolf Armor (tempered), Wolf Guantlets (tempered), Wolf Boots (tempered), Silver Ring (enchant: fortify Health), Silver Necklace (Enchant: fortify Stamina Regen), Skyforge Steel Battleaxe (Enchant: Shock)
In the Hammerspace: Nord Mead, Gold, alchemical ingrediants, soul gems
Eligible Dragonborn: no
OPTIONAL
Hometown: Mor Khazgur, Skyrim
Factions: Companions
Personality: Being born in an Orc Stronghold causes you to grow tough to survive. He appears fairly dead in emotion and is rather cold. He isn’t bothered by death nor does he fear it. It can be assumed there is still something almost human buried behind those orcish eyes of course it will take digging to find it.
History: He was born in an Orc Stronghold. He was the youngest son of the chief. He earned the second part of his name from his fist which felt like a hammer. He did not get along with his oldest brother. When his older brother slew his father to become chief, Gorvesh was exiled by his brother. After his exile, he decided to put his talents to the test and join the Companions as a test of himself and his fellow man. He had little trouble joining the Companions. During a mission working alongside another member, he was exposed to the blood of his comrade. The transformation was swift and merciless. He found himself something different. His power was great and his thirst for life even greater. He awoke in his Orc form in less than pleasant attire. His life with the Companions continues.
Everything looks good. (though I don't know exactly what Hammerspace is...) For now I hope you don't mind that Norik's Falkreath home is not Lakeview Manor. At least for the time being and I can make up my mind on how I'll incorporate the Hearthfire add-on. I am currently working on how to later introduce Dawnguard, and haven't even thought of Dragonborn. So for now it'll just be an unnamed house. Otherwise, accepted my friend.
I have no problem with giving you control of Karliah as an NPC. But keep in mind that since she'll remain an NPC that someone else can take control of her if they have an idea for her.
Hmm I was thinking of making a sideplot for Eclipse involving her for a bit of character development, but if other people can control her that might make things difficult if someone else wants to use her. I will look through all the sign ups before I start the character development, and if nobody else's sign ups has a major connection to her I will use her.
That's perfectly fine. I mainly had it to where people can sign up as canon characters in case they didn't want to create their own or if they had something major they want a certain character to be involved with. Otherwise all the canon characters are NPCs and free for anyone to use.
Skills: Light Armour, Archery, Sneak, One-Handed, Pickpocket, Lockpicking, Alchemy Main Inventory: Thieves guild armour, Nightingale Armour, Nightingale Bow, Nightingale Blade, Various Arrows, Steel dagger, Various potions and poisons. Eligible Dragonborn: No
Hometown: Never stays in one place too long Factions: Nightingale, Thieves guild (Ex: Theives guild believes she killed their leader and want her dead) Personality: Karliah is mysterious to say the least, yet somewhat honest. She will tell the truth, but conceal what she wants to. She was less of a pessimist before the death of her lover, Gallus. Since then she has been more of a pessimist. She is motivated to get revenge on the person who ruined her life, Mercery Frey, going to extreme lengths like purchasing Goldenglow Estate and funding Blackbriar Meadery. She wishes for him to receive the same treatment she did, to be hated and hunted by the people she called friends. History: (Things in bold are different to the game)
Karliah is the daughter of Dralsi Indoril, and a descendant of Drayven Indoril, Queen Barenziah and possible the Dunmer saint Indoril Nerevar. She was trained in the art of thievery by her mother, and became part of the thieves guild in Riften. Here she met Gallus and Eclipse, whom she became friends with. After Gallus deemed her worthy to be a Nightingale, he took her to Nightingale hall, where she was inducted as a Nightingale, an Agent of Nocturnal.
One night, Gallus was told that Nocturnal wished to speak with him and Karliah. She snuck out of the ragged Flagon cistern, meeting Gallus near the entrance to Nightingale Hall. Little did she know that Eclipse had seen her sneaking out, and followed her, worried she had gotten into trouble. When her and Gallus spoke with Nocturnal, she revealed that Karliah was followed, and revealed the presence of Eclipse. Nocturnal deemed Eclipse worthy to be a Nightingale, based on the fact that Eclipse stalked Karliah and Gallus and entered Nightingale hall undetected.
A year after Eclipse joined the Nightingales, they heard word of someone in Whiterun publishing a book called Nightingales: Fact or Fiction, revealing their secrets. Eclipse offered to take care of the situation and left for three weeks. In their time alone together, Karliah and Gallus grew closer than ever, to the point where they fell in love. When Eclipse returned, he walked in on her and Gallus sharing a kiss. Eclipse grabbed his posession and left. Karliah never knew why. She didn't see him again until a year later.
In the next year, Mercer Frey, another member of the thieves guild was inducted as a Nightingale. A year after Eclipse disappeared, Mercer heard word of a corpse being found at Snow Veil Sanctum, wearing Nightingale armour. Fearing that their presence in Skyrim may be revealed, Mercer and Gallus left immediately to go to Snowveil Sanctum.
Two weeks later, Mercer returned. He entered Nightingale HQ with his sword drawn, covered in blood. Karliah never saw him coming. When she finally did notice him, her bow and dagger where out of reach. She was at his mercy. Mercer admitted to killing Gallus, then charged at her, with intent to kill.
Karliah thought she would be dead within a few seconds. Suddenly Eclipse appeared in front of her, and they were surrounded by a circle of flames. Eclipse shot Mercer in the wrist with his bow, and then fought off Mercer with his daggers, stabbing him in the stomach. Mercer fled, and before Karliah could ask Eclipse where he went or why, he was gone too.
Karliah grabbed her bow, and made her way to the Ragged Flagon Cistern, to tell them of Mercer's betrayal. However when she got there, she was attacked by the people she once called friends. Mercer got there first and had blamed his wounds on Karliah, accusing her of killing Gallus. She was forced to flee.
Intending to get revenge on Mercer Frey, Karliah bought the Goldenglow estate and funded the Blackbriar meadery, leaving one of her connections with a message. If Mercer were to find them, to let him know that she is waiting for him, Where the End began.
She is currently travelling north through Skyrim, near Windhelm, on her way to Snow Veil Sanctum, waiting for the day when she can get revenge on Mercer Frey. Title Application: N/A Other: Actual character from Skyrim. During the RP she will still have the same role that she does in the game.
Suggestion on Roommates or somefing?
Well you could prolly have one Dragonborn for every five that sign up, and prolly draw names or something.
Ok. I was wondering if I was out of the loop or something X3
I have a character that could possibly know one of yours because she is also a vampire, but I don't know if I'd have her in the Oblivion crisis since I haven't played the game or watched a walkthrough of it. Right now I'm only working on one character so I have two open spaces left.
For picking the Dragonborn I already know what I'm going to do. Depending on how many people wish to be Dragonborn I may allow more than one to be present. When the time comes I'm going to assign the characters a number and then use a randomizer. Same for titles.
Name: Menora the True Shot Race: Nord Sub-Race: werewolf Gender: female Appearance: Menora is about average height for a female Nord, maybe a tad on the short side, but what really sets her apart from her fellow kinsmen is her darker skin and hair colors. While more Nords are light skinned and usually have blond or light brown hair Menora is tanned with black hair. She is unsure why since she can't reference her parents, but she is a true Nord through and through. She has dark orange eyes that look brown in dark lighting. Or she did since her right eye is now white with blindness. A scar travels down to her cheek from under that eye, into the green leaf pattern she has painted on her cheek and neck with dark green warpaint. She prefers to wear her armor, but at times she can be seen in either a normal set of clothes or in blacksmith's attire. Skills: Archery, Light Armor, Lockpicking, One-Handed (duel-wield), Smithing, Sneak, Speech Main Inventory: Linwe’s armor set, Ring of Hircine, Nordic Bow, Arrows (mainly Elven, some Dwarven), Nordic Dagger, Nordic Sword, Nordic War Axe, Clothes, Boots, Blacksmith's Apron, Gloves, assortment of Healing Potions Eligible Dragonborn: no
OPTIONAL
Hometown: Riften, Skyrim Factions: Thieves Guild Personality: Menora is a confident woman. She knows what she can and can't get away with, and even then she'll find a way to get away with whatever she can. The only thing she tries not to do is take someone's life without given enough reason to. She only kills out of self defense or if she's clearing out a bandit camp for the Jarl. When not out hunting or blacksmithing she can be seen in the Bee and Barb, sharing a pint of ale with the patrons and having a good time. Other times she is down in the Ragged Flagon amongst her fellow thieves. It all depends on her mood, honestly. Even though she runs with thieves she still likes to help out the citizens of Riften if given the chance. Some would swear she only does so to cover up her true thieving intentions, but in all honestly it's just how she is. From what little she can recall from her childhood her parents told her that kindness goes a long way, and it's something she holds dear. Also Menora can be a bit flirtatious with both men and women, but she has yet to commit to anyone. Though it's really no secret she prefers the company of other women over men. History: Menora remembers little of her childhood. She could remember her family living in the hut in the wilderness of the Rift. Her father was a blacksmith and mother a hunter. They lived a pretty decent life. That is until their hut was attacked. It wasn't long after her father revealed his gift of lycanthropy to her and when she was older he would pass it down to her. However a group called the Silver Hand attacked. The attack itself she couldn't recall in detail for the next thing she remembered was she had somehow made her way to Riften. Her father had a friend there, so it's possible that in the chaos she recalled that bit of information and fled to the city. There she took refuge at the Scorched Hammer, where Balimund took her in so she didn't have to be put into Honorhall Orphanage.
As she grew into a young woman at the blacksmith's she learned the trade, becoming an excellent smith. She wouldn't claim to be the best and says that smithing is only a hobby. When she wasn't at the forge, however, she was causing trouble. It was nothing major at first, just taking someone's item and placing it in a place that it'd take a bit for the owner to find. She never stole anything to keep, and that was probably why the Thieves Guild left her alone. She also never messed with the Jarl or Maven Black-Briar, for getting on either woman's bad side would be a bad idea. In time she then focused her spare time on learning the art of archery instead of causing trouble between working at the forge and her lessons. Over time she was being called "True Shot" for her nearly perfect aim. She also went back out to her family's old hut when she had enough skill, recovering her father's smithing notes, his nordic sword and battle axe, and her mother's nordic bow and dagger that her father had made for her. She also found some books that had survived the fire with the old notes, books on lycanthropy. Though she wouldn't say it out loud she did wish that her father could have passed it down to her and decided that she would somehow embrace it in any way she could. With those weapons in hand she went out to help some people in the Rift so that in a way she could make it up for when she caused trouble for those she messed with when she was younger.
However it was only a matter of time before her thieving skills she developed in her teens were put to the test after she had said she'd put it behind her.
One day at the Bee and Barb Menora was approached by Louis Letrush. Apparently Sibbi Black-Briar didn't make good on a deal and Louis was willing to give her the other half of the payment if she'd help. She accepted, and it was only then that she learned she had to steal Frost from the Black-Briar's lodge. She talked to Sibbi to learn more about it, even got a key to a lockbox to get more coin on the side. However she new better than to do this job in full behind Maven's back, so despite her instinct telling her not to she told the woman of the plan to steal Frost. Maven wasn't surprised, and even game Menora permission to continue with the job. She did, but instead of handing Frost over to Louis after everything was said and done she persuaded him to let her keep the stallion. She noticed something in the palomino and she didn't want to hand him over. It took a little time but the two forged an unbreakable bond, and the horse has been a loyal companion ever sense.
It was that job however that got the Thieves Guild to notice her. She was approached by Brynjolf at the market one day and he asked for her assistance. With her previous record of when she was younger and her recent job, he thought she'd be perfect for a job. She was to steal a ring and place it on someone else. It was an easy enough job, though Menora had started disliking pickpocketing. She did the job, got her pay, and was about to leave when the older Nord then offered her a place within the Guild. She wanted to get out of the blacksmith's for a while, and the Thieves Guild offered her adventure she has been recently wanted, so she accepted.
It took some time but she did earn her respect amongst the Guild. Even if all of them won't say it aloud. She grew close with Vex, Delvin, and Sapphire, doing some jobs either with or for them as time grew on. Devlin eventually gave her a job in Windhelm, a special request they hadn't had in decades. She went, found out what it was, defeated the growing rival guild and did the job the client asked, and returned as if it was a normal job. She now wears the armor from the rival guild's leader after she had it tailored to fit like a trophy. But the Guild is still not what it used to be. Working on getting it back up to it's strength Menora set out to do what she could. It was during one of her heists in the south-west part of Skyrim that lead her to get the Ring of Hircine. She won't speak of what happened, but once she was given the ring she also received the gift to turn into a werewolf. It's a story that she keeps to herself, not even telling those in the Guild she is close to about. She fully embraces the blood of the wolf, however she is careful about revealing it in fear of the Silver Hand once again coming to hunt her down. Title Application: Champion of Hircine, Guildmaster of the Thieves Guild, Thane of the Rift Other: When outside of Riften, or any other walled city, Menora is almost never seen without her trusty steed Frost. That horse is never far from her in case she needs help, and is intelligent enough to know when his help is needed or when he'd get in his rider's way.
