How to increase Join Avenue level

So I was on another site and stumbled upon a picture that told people how to level up Join Avenue. I'll post that picture, but because it has 2 or 3 words that some people might not like, I'll post a rough, quick list of directions first.

>Catch Magnemite in the Virbank Complex
>Fly to Nimbasa City
>Do a GTS trade,offer your Magnemite,request a Magnemite of any level
>Wait about 20 seconds
>Check GTS and take your new Magnemite
*If your Magnemite still hasn't been traded away just wait a little bit longer
>Offer this new Magnemite and request another Magnemite
>Go to Join Avenue and meet the new person in the avenue
>Either invite or recommend
>Go get your new Magnemite from GTS
>Offer that Magnemite and request another one
>Go to Join Avenue

Do this 12 times each day. Magnemite is trade bait for Join Avenue growth right now.

This is pretty hilarious. No wonder Magnemite was the most popular traded Pokemon in Japan in the GTS. I was a bit confused about that when I saw the stats on the new Global Link. xD

Kinda makes me wonder why they chose Magnemite. Maybe it's so they can trade between gen4 games too?

I guess they're relatively easy to get early in the game, but not too common and they're not a particularly popular Pokemon, so it's likely that people who put up a Magnemite on the GTS will be participating in this thing. Or something. xD

This is hilarious, but I seem to get the SAME EXACT people if I "refresh" as described, so either I'm doing something wrong or I dunno.

I did get a couple trades, and one with Pokerus which I will be keeping. This was only when I put it up myself, but it wasn't from Japan. I'd really like a Japanese Poke.

This is pretty awesome...I even got myself a Mallow that I'm going to try using to give the rest of my Pokerus. Thanks for the info!

And if anyone gets a Magnemite with an OT named Reine, it might have been mine...just putting that out there. XD

Lol, it was actually traded to me--keep it up and I'm sure you'll get one eventually! If not, and you really want it, I'll be sure to let you know when I'm done infecting my team with Pokerus. XD

EDIT: And of course the moment I make that statement, I check my team to find its Pokerus is somehow gone.

Let me go through my PC. I think I have a few Pokemon stored with Pokerus. I take great pleasure in infecting my Pokemon and not letting them heal.

I've never been successful in spreading it. I think you have to have the infected Pokémon battle a couple times to spread it to the rest of the team?
